  1. Per ESPN Farve will throw about 2 hours before the game to determine if he will play or not.
  2. Is it just me or did that game remind anyone else of watching a bears game where they play a backup QB and are supposed to blow out the opponent?
  3. I feel you. I'm flying to Vegas from 3:15 to 6. Luckily my friend already has the dvr set for me. Just have to make sure I let everyone know not to text me during the game, but I know someone is gonna get drunk and forget. Hopfully the messge I get is more like "OMG BEARS!" and less like "Bears suck"
  4. Again it seems the big story from national publications is that the roughing call against Suh is what won the game for the bears. Like if Suh doesn't commit that penalty then the bears offense was helpless.
  5. Ah that takes me back to my college days when my physics prof cussed me out in class cause I told him his "good friend" screwed him by selling him a new PC with ME
  6. That guy totally got a web redemption on Tosh.0
  7. I'm pretty sure the rule is you get 2 challenges a game. If you win both you get a third. When you challenge makes no difference. Just looked it up. That is the rule. I'm sure Lovie said something about how he thought the defense would give them the ball back in good field position, but how can you honestly take 7 points away from yourself? It may not have changed the outcome of the game, but the Redskin O was doing nothing to impress. Make it a two score lead then force them to punt and run out of the clock.
  8. Fair enough. I wrote that immediately following the game when i was still in football mode. Now that I'm in normal living mode I agree that assessment is a bit much.
  9. How can you not challenge that fumble on the goal line? It was clearly a TD.. But of course lovie challenges the obvious not in the endzone bennet play.
  10. Well i suppose that Olsen vs a dlineman is a bit of a mismatch. just not one in our favor

    Cutler sees Green

Man the chargers got screwed on that deal. I wouldn't trade the plane ticket to get collins here for him. I bet if he was made towel boy he'd either miss on most of his toweling attempts or end up toweling the other team as much as he did ours
  12. I hope their football gear is better made than their soccer gear. In college we had an addidas sponsorship, and the girls team had Nike. Every year Nike had to come in and provide new cleats about halfway through the season because they simply fell apart. When they asked the men's team if we wanted to switch we told them to get lost. I was issued a pair of Nike goalkeeper gloves one of my seasons there, and I had to get the team to buy me a new pair after 6 games. Conversely I get about 30-40 games use out of my addidas gloves, and i still use my addidas cleats that I got in 2001.

    Cutler sees Green

ESPN is reporting that Hanie has been elevated to second string. No link cause I'm lazy
  14. At about the 3rd quarter I made a comment to my roommate on how glad I was that the vikings over paid him.
  15. I hope so since Bennet hasn't practice in like 2 weeks. If you can't pass someone on the depth chart that isn't playing then something is wrong.
  16. Actually I read in an interview with Tice fairly recently (can't seem to find the article, but i also didn't look super hard) that Garza was better suited for LG in this scheme because he was smaller and quicker. Tice said the LG had a lot of pulling assignments while the RG was generally a bigger more physical type of player. At least thats what I recalled reading anyway. hopefully it wasn't just a dream I had. If thats the case though I'll be sure to give my brain credit for the thoughts.
  17. He cost a 7th rounder next year
  18. I can definitely tell you from experience that it most certainly is mental. I remember days when I would try to kick instead of just of doing it and everything would be wrong. My accuracy would be gone and I would shank balls like crazy. not to mention that it seems the harder I try to kick the ball the worse of a kick it would become. Usually I had to take some time off for the issue to go away. When I came back to it, my kicks would be right on the money. I think with NFL kickers when this happens they don't really have that option of taking the time off. Plus once they start going down that road of missing easy kicks they won't be getting a lot of calls to compete for a roster spot. And seeing that each team tends to carry only 1 kicker and 1 punter competition must be pretty heated.

    Dream Scenario

I don't remember where I saw it, but the knock on mays was that he didn't run as fast at the combine as expected and he may have issues in coverage.
  20. I think the question is why wouldn't we listen to offers for anyone. The worst thing that could happen is Angelo doesnt feel the trade is worth it and then nothing happens. Why say that you shouldn't listen to offers? What if some team were dumb enough to give us a first and a second for Olsen?
  21. Actually from what I've gathered in my draft reading is that with the guard class this coming draft that they could find a starter in the 3rd round. Tackle man be another issue though. I expect if the bears get peppers and rolle they'll draft a guard with their first pick.
  22. The question is was his redirection to chicago or miami?
  23. well first not to nit pick but he was actually traded. but as far as bringing him back... there are reports that the chargers are eyeing him for a starting spot. i dont think chicago can compete with that
  24. No way! He'd be perfect as our number 1 receiver!
