Actually, when he was on the field with the Bears, he did look pretty great. He looked fast, strong, and just more athletic than most players. He looked explosive. The problem is, he was never on the field. I hated the pick when it happened, but I was hoping for the best.

I'm all sorts of behind the idea on getting Russ Grimm. Too bad the Bears missed the boat on Alex Gibbs being available.

And I was screaming the entire time that Gage needed to be in the game more. Him and Bradley. Dez White was hindering progress the first year, but the offensive scheme and QB really blocked progress during Gage's entire time in Chicago.

Ogun has been a nice guy, a decent if not overrated performer, and I appreciate his contribution to the Bears. But he's not someone that will be dearly missed.

Huh? Get better on OL and WR, but put all the draft picks into the defense? That doesn't make sense at all.

Tough call. I'd say start Manning. There is a good chance he'll at least get 2-3 QTRs of play, and with that time he'll more than likely put up the same stats as Ryan.

Seriously, could someone on this board be a better GM than Angelo when it comes purely to talent evaluation and drafting? With regards to the salary cap, let's just pretend that someone else is handling it on the team (even though I think LT2 could do a better job than anyone on the Bears). In regards to the draft only, do you think that someone from the board would have done a better job than Angelo since he's been with the Bears?

Ahhhh...now that makes sense. I didn't see it, but that one sounds like it's on Cutler. Slants are based upon timing and a quick release...if both are disrupted and throw is still made, then there is a decent chance at problems.

Why did he have to "hold back just a bit"?

It's called a play-action pass to the TE. The Ravens showed it to you, twice. It seems to work ALL THE TIME for other teams. You might want to think about putting it into the playbook.

Sounds odd to me. Either it wasn't a very quick slant, or it was superhuman stuff from the DB. Was it bump and run? Was there a blitz on? Which WR was it thrown to?

Truth be told, and I've said this numerous times, I really think the collective voice of this message board could do a better job drafting for the Bears than the actual team. I don't care what the eye-rollers and nay-sayers post, we have football knowledge, and just because someone is in the NFL doesn't mean they are "right." I can tell you one damn thing: If I had been in charge, there is no way in hell we'd have the team in its current state.

What I want to see: -1st and 2nd round OL talent who might slip because of character issues (don't want those who have injury issues) -All road-grader FBs who have soft hands (emphasis on "road grader") -Tall, athletic, mid-level college WRs who will slip because of their conference, but have the measurables of someone who would go in the first if they played in the SEC or the BIG12. -DEs with quick feet, long arms, a nasty streak, and non-stop motors -Smart, wide ranging safeties who can swivel hips like a CB, but might get overlooked a bit because they don't have the "right 40 time"
