Between Knox, Hester, and Manning we have some big time speed and throw in Bennet we have plenty of options at return
-
Stafford hurt We may see Culpepper
-
nice sack by O-gun
-
should be named cover 0 as it seems to cover no one
-
We're letting them back in it
-
WE better not let them back in it in the 4th Quarter. Here's when we find out if the Bears can deliver the knockout blow.
-
Defense really has stepped it up this half we've been enjoying great field position. We need a TD and need to get the running game going
-
Need to take full advantage of the turnovers. Two big detroit turnovers deep and we only get FG's out of them.
-
Fumble - Bears Ball!!!
-
That was a heck of a draw on that kick. Looked like it was badly hooked and came back good job Robbie 52 yarder
-
Good three and out Go Bennet
-
how many muffed returns have the Lions had I count 3 so far
-
Thats the way to start a second half TD Knox
-
it was horrible they were given that first TD every time they were force to the FG the refs bail them out with a penalty that gives them a first down. On that last drive the big run by Stafford should have been negated. The guy who could have tackled him was himself tacked by the offensive line. I'm so freaking sick of watching our guys get held and no call but anything that could possibly be a on the Bears is flagged. Now that said the defense is not holding up their end of the bargain. Way too many easy open catches for big gains. They are making the Lions look like a high powered offense. for the most part we've let them do whatever they wanted. Crappy/iffy calls and blatant no calls only add insult to injury. As it is we are tied 21 all and will get the ball to start the second half. Till the defense wakes out of it's coma the offense is going to have to keep the tempo up.

Comments? Regardless of what happens here we need to win today I'd like to see a decisive win but I'll take a win. GB wins and they improve to 3-1 and Minny drops to 3-1 and if we win we improve to 3-1. 3 way tie for the division with the 1-3 lions at the bottom GB looses and they drop to 2-2 and Minny improves to 4-1 and if we win we improve to 3-1. we would move into second place. I have to think that this matchup favors the Packers. Minnesota hasn't had a true test like this yet. The 49ers should have beaten them last week but due to a fluke didn't. The Vikings have been flirting with failure and this time I think it bites them. I personally don't see this one being lopsided either way but wouldn't be surprised if it did get that way. Either way it should be an entertaining game.

I'm all for a strong start we've started sluggish on both sides of the ball every game and I'd like to see us take our first possession and drive down for a TD. I'd like to see the Bears start out sharp.

Stop the presses Turner admits he was wrong? You're right admitting it and changing are two different things, but let's hope that he does in fact change it. I think he needs to change the way he uses wolf altogether. Running the shortest guy on your team up the gut is not a wise use. Wolf has speed and would be better utilized in the short passing game out of the backfield, RB screen, and outside runs to utilize his speed. We run him into a wall of defenders and you negate his best asset.

Thanks, that does make sense. if he were to field and and advance it out of the end zone into the field of play, retreat back into the end zone and be tackled or run out of bounds then it would be a safety. I just was wondering because he possessed the ball inside the end zone as pictured below, then retreated out of the end zone to down it. Not sure why he didn't just let it got through the end zone. no point in attempting to return that. But thanks for the explaination I wasn't real clear on it but figured it wasn't since the refs were right there and no one reacted to it and the announcers said nothing I figured it was legal. But this is one of my fav shots from the game. and this one

I was re-watching the game and got to thinking...Isn't this technically a safety? He fields the kickoff in bounds backpedals out of bound and downs the ball out of bounds? Always thought if you on your own step out of the back of the end zone it's a safety? I could be wrong if the rules are different on Kick off returns as opposed to being on offense and stepping on the end line. Probably a dumb question but curiosity. Along those lines the kickoff pictured here is the one following the roughing which honestly that's a worthless penalty to simply kick it off 15 yards further up field. Unless you have a kicker who struggles with distance it's going to be a touchback. Too bad it can't be tacked on to the end of the ensuing kick return.

Anyone else happy the Lions got off the schnide this week?

For this year Favre is in the NFC North who knows if it's just a one year thing or if he'll pull the retirement crap again this coming offseason. Or will he be back with the Vikings next year. But you are right if Stafford shakes out then the division could be interesting with four good competitive teams. The NFC North could become one of the tougher divisions in the next few years. When was the last time that all the teams in our Division were good? -
Makes ya miss ol Roy Williams during Lions week lol

I'm glad they got the win. It's really mind blowing to think that their last win came in the 07 season. That my friends is sad. They acted like the won the super bowl yesterday the coach paraded the team back out to celebrate with their fans. Having them get this monkey off their back is huge and it will take a little of the motivation now it has been mentioned that the last time they won two straight was when they beat the bucs and then us I think that was the 07 season as well. The lions are still a bad team. But I do give them credit for fighting and week one and two they put up a good fight for a while but eventually fell last week they beat a bad Redskins team I want to see us not only beat the Lions but beat them convincingly. We can only do so if we come out and establish the tempo early we need to dictate. You let a team like Detroit hang around you will be in a dogfight. -
That is my hope that it is mostly an in sync issue but that only excuses the offense this defense for the most part has been together for a while. Biggest problems I see is the obvious lack of wrapping up that TD by JJ would not have happen had one of the two guys on him wrapped up and simply pushed him out of bounds instead he breaks away from two guys who had him in their grasp and runs down the field for the TD. Effective use of the pass rush. I see guys rushing their way out of the play. Over running a running back It's good to come after the back and QB with speed but you need to stay under control and not run yourself out of the play. On the flip side the positive is that we didn't let that early slow start keep us from getting in a position to win. We were in position to win at GB and won the next two. They could have laid down and let the thing slip away. But they kept fighting.

he was getting stymied by a rookie in his third game. It's time to say goodbye to Tommie if that's all the better we can expect. Get someone in there who will make an impact.

Listened to it as well and he's not all negative, He pointed out many positives as well. He was ripping on Tommie and questioned whether our only constant pressure will come when we have statue QBs and below average tackles. He made some comments about the OL and the run game. first three hours of that conversation is linked on the score's website http://www.670thescore.com about half way down the page and to the right
