  1. Agree and I think his vision more noticeable when there when when there's something there. When your handed the ball and the first thing you see is a defender or the line of scrimmage moving your direction quickly it's hard to visualize anything. It's easy from my fans perspective to see a play and say "Why doesn't he bounce it outside but from his point of view on the field that may not look like a good option. Most run plays we have are doomed from the get go cause we are constantly loosing the battle up front and the opposing Dline is re-establishing the line of scrimmage on our side of the ball. By the time he receives the ball he's one to two steps from being wrapped up. So the question I ask is why do we keep calling the same run plays.. why not design plays to the outside where Forte can find more room. Why not take advantage of teams just collapsing the middle of the line. Use more tosses, sweeps, pitches and off tackle runs. They were talking about Forte on the post game and the points they made were that and I agree he doesn't seem to have the same burst and speed, too often he gets caught from behind when last year he would have taken some of those plays to the house. Is he 100% healthy is the hammy still bothering him and he's not able to fully open up? They also pointed out that they had him put on some weight which could also slow him down. Is it just me or do we do a lot of jacking around with guys weight having players put on or take off weight etc. What's wrong with leaving things alone if the player is effective at their current weight? If Forte was told to put on weight I have to ask, why? He was effective last year weighing less so why beef him, is that supposed to make him tougher, durrable?? We seem to fix what ain't broken and ignore what really is. I think part of the reason our line is doing so poorly is our play-calling. We have a mobile QB but most times we call straight drops and he only rolls out when he's forced to scramble. When we call our run plays we most often run between the tackles. This is what teams have on film so teams know they can concentrate their efforts straight up the gut because thy know that most of the time that's where Jay or Forte will be. Taking advantage of our play calling to exploit already questionable line play. It's bad enough to have bad Line play it's even worse to allow teams to key on that by our own play calling.
  2. The officiating in that game against AZ was horrible Jay had every right to be upset his receivers getting held and interfered with regularly our D Line regularly getting held regularly, and he himself getting hit late often. What irritated me was not that Jay stood up for his team and let the Ref's know it is that I don't ever see Lovie get upset with a bad call or get in the officials ear he just sits there with that blank stare (which is why I believe he wears the sunglasses now so you can't see how lost he looks by his eyes) The Flag I'm iffy on I see players jaw jack refs all game long and nothing but Jay does it once and it's a penalty..... you get screwed by the refs you call them on it and you get flagged. I'm tired of the league officials doing a horrible job in any game you can turn on any game and see crappy officiating they are allowed to get their fat arses in the way of a play that robs teams of a good play or even causes a turnover but that's all good. The min a player gets on them for this crap or makes incidental contact (shoving or hitting I do see as justified) can get fined or flagged. Just seems to be a double standard when they suck a their job and someone calls them on it it's the person who points it out who's in the wrong and should be punished. These officials who are getting hit durring plays IMHO that's the risk you take plus you should be aware of your surroundings and do what you can to avoid being hit or getting in the way. From what I have observed most seem to make little effort to get out of the way and the are surprised when the get hit. I've seen a few where the were nailed from behind while running I think one inparticular durring the Vikings Packers game where it may have been Allen trailing the play and he blatanty pushes the official down. Oddly no flag or fine. In a lot of ways they are like the cop who can speed past you without lights or follow on your bumper for miles but if the roles were flipped you'd get pulled over and ticketed. IMO the league doesn't do enough to keep these clowns accountable for the quality of officiating in the league and at the same time makes it clear that they one one even imply that they are doing a bad job. Players and coaches can be fined for even implying that the officiating in a game was bad, get into too heated of an argument (ie if the Ref doesn't like the argument) can throw the flag and by doing so brings attention to it and can later result in a fine.
  3. Part of the reason we don't stretch the field is because Jay is often running for his life before he can do a three step drop and set his feet. One of the early plays that stood out to me was a play where Chris Williams and a couple other linemen were practically over run and only two linemen held a block. I think a lot of good QB's would struggle here there simply isn't much support around him. But that said he simply needs to do what he can to protect the ball and I'd rather see him take a sack than attempt to throw while he's being plowed. He needs to be aware of the situation with teams not respecting our run game the are just going to play cherry pickers. He tries to squeeze balls into tight places but our receivers don't exactly show much "fight" for the ball. I hate to say it but teams are playing him like they played Rex. Put heat on and rush him into mistakes. Jay needs to be smarter than that.... I thought we were getting a QB who is smarter than that.... and I'm kind wondering if we really did.
  4. agree but Lovie will probably play the age old card of once we get our 8th loss then we start to play the younger guys.... granted that will likely be in three weeks. from our standpoint unless we win out and get some help we will not be in the post season. This year should now be about working towards next year hopefully with new staff, but I doubt we'll get that we're probably stuck with Dumb, Dumber, and Dumberer. The bright spot in this game is that the D keep us in the game even though the offense did all they could to keep us out of the game. The 49ers didn't do much of anything outside of us giving them help like a pick that was ran back for 50+ yards and then the run by Gore who for the most part we held in check. Kudos to the D for showing that they actually care and have some pride. We held them to 10 points, and the fact that they did that and still we lost is sad.
  5. not sympathetic at all. Jay owes the team an apology. two maybe three of the pics were not his fault. Hester slipping while the balls in the air, receiver getting impeded by the Umpire (IMO when this happens the down should be replayed... It's total crap that teams are using the umpire to rub players), The one where the reciever was interfered with slightly. But the 3rd and Goal total bonehead, the last one total bonehead. He was attempting to throw the ball while getting tackled/hit. If you can't set your feet and throw or doing so is awkward at best take the friggin sack. He by himself cost his team the win. We lost 3 points on the 3rd and goal pick, which would have made it a 9-10 game on that last drive and all we'd have needed was a field goal. but nope. he was forcing the ball all over the place. The last play he actually had room to run and may have had a chance to run if not that all he had to do was pump fake to Olsen and he'd have had Bennet Wide open. There is no defending his game tonight. We've been bitching about the D all year long and they finally bring it tonight only to be let down by the offense..... why does that sound familiar......
  6. I believe do still have your email. I'll send an email either tonight or tomorrow. Much appreciated, thanks
  7. Ill give a shot. Still like to be able to rewatch.... but then again seeing the game once may be enough.
  8. I have amish cable (aka only what I can get over the air). I live in Northern Indiana so I don't get UPN or any local Chicago Stations.
  9. Would anyone be able to record tonight's game and send a DVD? I don't get NFL Network but would like to be able to see the game. I would be willing to pay for any costs and the effort to do it. Would greatly appreciate it
  10. the unsportsmanlike on Jay captured the essence of just how bad the officiating was. Our recievers being held and interfered with constantly and a blatant one on Olsen and Jay finally has had enough and gets after the ref and he's flagged. Our D line who did get through were held all day, receivers were held and interfered with, and they even dismissed a false start to help the Cards. That said the zebras didn't lose this game for us the guys in blue and burnt orange are the culprits along with the frauds who call themselves coaches. Bad officiating was just like salt in the wound. It's not bad enough your team is reaching new lows you are getting screwed by the refs.
  11. Therein lies the problem... We always hire some guy with no experience being a head coach or even an assistant head coach since Ditka. We've hired 3 former Defensive coordinators Wanny, Dicky J, and our current village idiot... I mean Lovie. IMO you get what you pay for. So as you say even if we fire him odds are we won't go out and bring in a big name guy with experience. Instead we shop at the discount isle when we go coach shopping. And then our cheap inexperienced guy brings in his buddies curly and Moe to run the Offense and Defense... Curly and Moe bring in their buddies dumb and dumber to be position coaches.... Then When things go into the tank our no name no credential coach is befuddled and blames the players by saying things like we just need to execute better. I just question whether this franchise has the stones to make the tough decisions required to right this ship. Jerry needs to own a piece of this mess and there needs to be accountability.
  12. Good, the team needs to hear from someone that their play is NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I have my doubts that they are hearing it from the coaches who seem to think we're better than this and just need to try better. At least Alex Brown admits they stunk today but we keep hearing this after a loss or a performance like this and yet next week we see the same crap. repeatedly admitting you suck doesn't solve the problem.
  13. Might Throw Hainie in there as well. He could use some game experience and no sense in risking severe injury to our prize QB.
  14. in the last two weeks we have been man handled twice won a game that felt more like a loss than a win. where do we begin putting humpty dumpty back together.... I honestly don't know where to begin. Let's face this is a wreck of a team. When Lovie took over we had a strong defense and no offense. Over his time here his staff took over a talented defense and rode that to a Super Bowl. Now that that D has declined and an offense crippled by poor offensive line play, poor play calling, poor execution. An overall team attitude of a team that has no heart, no discipline, outside of a few players I don't see a lot worth saving. 1. I have to ask as they were discussing on post game... how much of this is the players, and how much of it is the coaching? It's not so much a question of which it's a question of how much is each component playing into the overall problem. Both have their hand in this mess. 2. Sure it's been a rough year for Cutler but I will give him a pass as he has had little help. They brought this up and its maddening. When a play breaks down and Cutler is on the run which seems like 90% of the time our WR's don't come back to Jay to give him a target. They just run their routes or just stand around. The line has done a poor job protecting Cutler.. At this point I'm almost thinking we should consider playing Hainie just we don't get Jay killed. 3. At this point what do we have that is salvageable, how bad does this have to get before we have any inkling that Lovie is gone at years end. When you are playing as badly as we have the last few weeks you don't make a statement that.... "We're a good football team....... I like where we are right now...... we're in the mix and that's all you want to be...." Translation "We are ok with being a mediocre football team, and I'm just trying to sugar coat it so my players won't feel bad about themselves" You don't motivate players by just being nice and saying it's ok when it's not. It's time to call a spade a spade. Your team which is under your "leadership" shows no heart, no desire, no intelligence, and seem as ok with loosing as you are. It's time to wake up and smell the coffee. What you are doing isn't cutting. Let's be honest this season is lost If I'm Jerry I basically say you have 8 games to show me why I should not fire you. 4. I see a team hanging their hats on past success particularly the defense.... We're better than that, we gotta play better, yada yada. I think the players and coaches honestly think that they are a good team and just need to play better. On what basis do they think this? In the four wins this year only two were good wins. We barely beat a badly wounded Seahawks team and had a unimpressive win over the one team in the NFL that might be worse than us. In our four losses we have been completely embarrassed three times (GB, Cincy, Arizona) and lost a close one in Atlanta. Last year was dismal as well though we had a decent running game and the D played better than this year. The Bears have gotten worse over the years since the SB year. There is no reason this team should think that "we just need to play better" There's more to it than that. It's like me making the same mistakes over and over and each time saying I'm sorry and it won't happen again. We are done hearing "we need to play better" No shit sherlock. This is going to be a tough offseason. We won't have a #1 or a #2, so we will have to hit on the picks we do have. But we will have to be a player in the FA market. But we also need to realize that the Cover 2 is scheme that most teams have abandoned for a reason. It's like playing prevent for 4 quarters if you can't get a pass rush... and we can't.
  15. Cover 0 where the goal is to cover no one and expect the game to be played using two hand touch rules. In all honesty this defense is so easily exploited and everyone knows how to beat it yet we still try to use it. Chile has it right. Lovie has lost touch this is te only defense he knows. This defense is like a dirty diaper.... time for a change..
  16. looking at the schedule... I see maybe 1 win. 5-11 is my final record prediction. Seriously thinking of selling my Monday Night Game tickets... Not excited to freeze my ass off to watch this crap.
  17. BS!!!!!!!! that wasn't a catch let alone a TD FU Refs!!!! and Smith doesn't even challenge it.....
  18. should have been roughing.... well after the play cutler is drilled.
  19. their track record today alone made me think they'd over turn it. Then on the ensuing punt the cards initiate a scrum and no flag
  20. 10 bucks says they give Arizona the first down by giving them extra yards after the review even though the knee is down before he extends.
  21. then we let them out of the hole. it's 4th and inches they'll go for it.
  22. How can Warner return???? I thought the only way was if he left due to injury... this is BS HOLLY SHIT THEY Called a Personal foul on the Cardinals!!!! It's beginging to snow in hell
