  1. Ugly performance. At this rate, with our schedule, we could be looking at 4-13. I thought we would have a decent chance of improving on last seasons record. We just can't seem to get decent QB play. I was behind JF and questioned that the Bears didn't give him any weapons or an above-average offensive line. I expected above-average to good QB play from CW considering he has weapons and the offensive line no worse than last year. I’m trying to be positive but CW is not showing much. I don't subscribe to channels that enable me to look a the all 22. Is the WR, TE and RBs play poor because if they are playing reasonably well, the poor performance must be down to CW not getting it or is it the play calling is so bad.
  2. I'm worried how much he's regressed. We should be seeing the game coming to him but I can't see anything at the moment. The play calling isn't helping but surely he can improvise. Our offence is a hard watch and no better than last year. I’m not being a negative Nigel but the eye testis ugly.
  3. My biggest worry going into this game and the rest of the season is Caleb seems to be trending down. I was happy with his game in London but he has fallen off the cliff since. The last 2 games he has has been terrible. Although we lost to Washington on a hail Mary play we can't consistently win with how he played. I'm hoping he starts showing something soon because at this point I'm worried we have picked someone who is not much better than Fields. I'm interested in knowing everyone’s view now he has played 8 games. Especially from Bear Fan PHX who is his most ardent admirer.
  4. You would not believe it. Can't understand why we have up on the rush and let him pass it. That is deflating.
  5. Why not throw the flag. That was stupid. There is only one reason that Daniels was rushing to get the play off. That has probably lost is the game.
  6. That last play was disgusting. No WR got anywhere near open. I thought that would be a strength. They need to step up in we get another chance.
  7. Great stop by tgeD come on O and don't beat yourself with presnap penalties
  8. I was hoping that Waldron would call quick slants and hitches to help Caleb get some completions especially because we were close to our end zone.
  9. Jones being out is not good and could impact Caleb having a better half after the break. Washington look a much better team and its a shame our secondary is banged up and Sweat seems to have an injury. Daniels is had a better half and hopefully Waldron can get the O ticking so Caleb has the better half and we win the game 14-9 🙏
  10. Also how the DEs held their position on pass rushes and prevented Daniels from getting outside of the tackles when he was feeling pressure.
  11. I’m glad the schedule pits the Bears against division opponents later in the year. Caleb will have developed as much as he can by the time we play the Packers. I was watching the Lions earlier, and it will be interesting to see how Goff and his offense does against our defense. After seeing how Caleb played today, I liked how he went through his progressions. Hopefully, he will continue on this trajectory after the bye week. I really like what Poles as done with the roster and the weapons we have especially having Allen and Moore at WR. The oline seems to be playing better. I hope it’s not because the defences we have recently played are terrible.
  12. Tonight is the first time I’ve watched Washington, and Jayden Daniels does not look like a 1 read QB and being restricted to playing 1/2 of the field. He is playing really well against a good Baltimore defense. It will be an interesting game after the bye week.
  13. Defense has played great considering we have players out in the secondary. I hope Gordon is OK after limping off.
  14. Have we seen a QB other than Cutler go through this progressions like Williams has today. I can’t remember. I think they definitely made the right choice with going away from Fields and drafting him.
  15. Strange to see the Bears going for 2 pts. I would have took the extra point and pulled Williams in case he got an injury.
  16. Enjoyed watching today. It’s been a long time since we have had a good performance from all 3 phases. CW has looked great.
  17. What a result. Good performance from all areas of the team. 2-2, Idid not see this because I was struggling to see how the offense could score. Made my day today. Maybe I should try to stay positive. Must admit the last 2,games were soul destroying. Go Bears.
  18. That drive is the best balanced drive I’ve seen all year. The TD pass was perfect. The oline seems to be giving the RBs some good holes. Let’s hope we keep it up. 2-2 would be a nice a season start
  19. I thought the incompletion of both passes were down to Caleb’s inaccuracy. Hopefully this improves as we go forward.
  20. With the oline regressing which I thought was impossible, I have lost most of my positivity. I feel it is going to be an extremely long year of pain and suffering. I have been disappointed with Caleb play and thought he could show at least average play. He’s missed all types of throws and I’m worried that like last year the 2nd QB taken is the better player. I think that unless the defense and special teams can win games, our offense will struggle against anyone including the Rams on Sunday. I hope I’m wrong. I was expecting the Bears to be in the playoffs or just outside, and that seems a stretch now.
  21. Can’t believe we didn’t try the onside kick. I know it’s an unlikely recovery but after how the Colts easily got the first down what was there to lose. Also you have better field position.
  22. We cannot run the ball so why not let Williams attempt a pass from inside the 5 yard line. They are going all out to stop the run so why not use a play action pass. Play calling is terrible and looks like we are going to have a poor season again.
  23. Thank you to Ryan Pace for persuading the Falcons to take a QB at 8 allowing the Bears to pick Rome. Similar to Lovie letting us get the No 1 pick in 2023 and fleecing the Panthers. Have the football gods finally allowed the Bears to get out of the franchise QB purgatory.
