Why not continue running the ball. They can't stop it and if we had run it down there throat and scored a TD the game is probably over. Johnson trying to be too cute đĄ -

How can you start the 1st qtr so well and then not turn up the rest of the game. I thought we had moved away from poor coaching, but it didn't look like that tonight. -

Pitiful performance. Caleb has been terrible today. Refs have been really poor. Although it didn't matter, Caleb was in at the end of the game. This defense is terrible and too many players going down or can't even get on the field. -

If Caleb could be calmer on the passes on the run, we could be scary good. Lets hope this improves over the season. -

Great team performance other than Caleb has been well off it today. Bodes well that the running game and defense as looked superb. I hope Caleb looks at the tape and makes sure he takes responsibility by improving his game. I hope we get this over the line today because up till now I have had a great day with Manchester United beating Liverpool earlier in the day đđđ -

The most enjoyable Bears game in many years and I think Caleb looked really good, other than a few throws. Hope he can be consistent, because it was nice to watch a game where our offense looked really good. His deep balls were sublime. When needed the defense stepped up. Also, the cheese heads losing was the icing on the cake. -
We are not seeing the performance from Caleb that would be expected of an elite QB. He has missed passes when under no pressure, either them being too low, or not well timed on timed routes in short to intermediate routes, or under or overthrown on deep routes. Goff was played well yesterday and Caleb didnât. I agree he was let down by the team in the 3 phases, but at least I want to see him make the passes that most QBs are expected to make. I am also pissed at players who are unavailable for games due to muscle injuries. Those players and the fitness department have been poor leading into the season. I expect players to go down in the middle or towards the end of the season, but not now, unless it is an injury suffered like a joint sprain etc. Iâm especially annoyed at Jaylon Johnson missing games. I think we can all agree, the strength of our roster doesnât allow us to not have a best players on the pitch. I think itâs going to be a hard season again, and I thought we would at least be competitive this year, which doesnât look likely.

I look at this trade as similar to us signing Khalil Mack and that didnât turn out great, i.e., multiple super bowls and affected our cap with lots of dead cap money. I am reasonably happy with our roster and as others have stated, our season depends on whether Caleb Williams is what we hope he is, if not, signing Parsons would have no impact on our chances of reaching a superbowl.

We are all Bears fans and it is healthy to have different views as long as we are respectful to each other. I would love nothing more than Caleb being the QB answer we have always wanted and I believe Stinger would have a similar view. However, at this point no one can guarantee this is our current trajectory. If Caleb becomes a franchise QB that we have craved, hopefully we can celebrate this with humility.

This season is crucial because Caleb has to perform. We could have taken Daniels at no2 and got a boat load of picks. Some on this board have indicated Caleb will be great. I didn't see it last year. The is no need to berate people who have a different opinion. They can be smug if Caleb is great or will be quiet if he's a bust. Ultimately we are all Bears fans and want best for the team. We all are emotionally invested and no one will know what would have been the best for the Bears, if we would have kept Fields and built around him, or taken either Caleb or Daniels.

I think Poles has hit on more than he's missed. We don't really know if Poles originally chose Flus, but he did choose to not go in a different direction this year. I can see why, because the trajectory from last year looked good. My main thoughts from Monday night is, do we now take Caleb out of the firing line, because I cannot see what he's going to learn or gain from playing out and getting pulverized behind this porous offensive line. Describing them as being offensive is the right word choice, because its been criminal if any of them think they have offered any level of protection to him this year. I would be happy with putting all of this yearsâ resources into O line because they have been shocking in the run and passing game.
-
The first half is about as bad as it gets. How Poles has neglected or chosen poorly in the draft or free agency on the O-line is criminal. If we are going to be successful is there anyone on the O-line including the depth that has the ability to become good to elite. I think that's doubtful. I thought the O-line contributed to Fieldsâ poor play and I think their terrible performance this year and what Caleb has been subjected to is a confirmation. I just hope the sacks he has taken this year does not have a permanent effect on his career.
-
I can't see where we have a good roster. I accept that coaching is important but what about a players pride. Where is our strength? All the WRs look bang average. We have a terrible O line. Wish we still had Montgomery over all of our backs. The defense is the only area of the team in which I think you could have confidence going into next season, other than Caleb who looks like he could be something.

This season has gone south very quickly. I thought we might get close to the playoffs. Hope we haven't finally got the franchise QB and got nothing around him. We have flipped with the Lions to being a joke of a franchise. I'm 60 this year. Will I see another competitive team in my lifetime. I'm unsure. Never thought I would be wishing that my team was as good as the Lions. We are a complete shit show.
