  1. I waited in the cold to buy tickets to the last playoff game before the stadium was renovated. At this time my finances are not really at a place where I can drop money on the Bears, but luckily my teams fare much better when Im at home.
  2. The best comparison is Deion on the Cowboys. They only had him learn a handful of routes and almost exclusively called the fly pattern. The difference is Bears already have Berrian and Bradley, who can bring the speed aspect to the passing game. Not to mention Hester does not have great hands, otherwise he would already be a WR.
  3. I do not think the bears will move Hester to offense. When the Bears first drafted Hester I thought it may be to move him to offense because it seemed like they would draft atleast 1 offensive player in the 2nd round or earlier in last years draft. But the Bears have been playing Hester on defense, last week they had him matched against Holt. This tells me they have been trying to get Hester ready for the defensive side next year, instead of the offensive side. At this point I dont want Hester being set back another year switching positions, it already has happened 2 times in Miami and right now he just needs a consistent position. I have no problem with him at CB because his speed and athleticism give him the ability to stay with almost any WR. His biggest problems would be size and tackling, but last game he made a pretty good hit. I told my one friend when the Bears drafted Hester that he was the best return player that I had ever seen. hester has done his job not to make me a liar.
  4. Bears actually pull off a screen that is effective. Berrian tackled by Kreutz. Awesome play call there.
  5. Clark missed that FS badly because TJ got the other guy.
  6. Your not allowed to use the ball as a "prop", so I guess putting it in between his legs makes it one. I think the rule is stupid and makes no sense. Celebrate like what? Putting a ball ebtween your legs? Putting a ball like a pregnant lady? From what I can tell no one was hurt, no one was offended. Just seems like they were trying to have fun. Lord knows thats illegal in the NFL.
  7. Grossman is overly confident. Its not that he is afraid of the hits, its that he believes that he does not have to set his feet to make throws. He really needs to work on his footwork and he will get much better. Whenever he throws flat footed or off his back foot the ball sails on him and he turns the ball over. Also they said Grossman does not like the shot gun, but I cant understand why not as it gives him extra time and visibility. On a side note, Grossman started to do much better when Madison went down. Webster and McQuarters cant cover anyone.
  8. If Benson does not hold out before his rookie season he probably was going to be given the starters role. Since then Jones has done nothing to lose his role as the starter, so I dont see why Benson should be "given" anything. If he wants more carries, he needs to start earning them by showing progress in blocking and being a team player.
  9. Leinart is a gimmick qb. The Bears were too proud in the first half and would not stop playing their zone coverage. In the second they went to man and Leinart no longer could throw his slot screen and other 5 yard passes with the same efficiency. Eventually teams will learn to test Leinart's ability to beat them over the top.
  10. Yeah basically as they were going over the game I aws thinking: Every one of these stats is some bizzarro record.
  11. There was nothing Green could do. He put the ball in leinart's hands and he fumbled for a touchdown. Then he put the ball in Edge's hands and he fumbled for a touchdown. He then played conservative and had a punt returned against his team for a touchdown. His team then proceeds to march down the field and a kicker who was one of the best last year misses an easy field goal. It was the players that lost this game.
  12. I have a feeling they are going to put some points on Oakland.
  13. Green as much as your team should have won this game, you cant compare it to a preseason game. I hope that makes the Bears more angry.
  14. It is not a real meaningful comeback. But it may be one of the most improbable comebacks that I will see in any football game at any level.
  15. Rex has been great every other game. He was terrible, but this had to happen. He needs to learn a lesson that he can not force things to happen, and that some times you need to throw short. He could learn from Leinart that you can throw for a lot of yards never throwing deep. But unlike Leinart he can go deep, so he will burn defenses. He is still young, but I am glad that he got his ass handed to him and the Bears still won. Hopefully over the bye they will work on this.
  16. First team ever to come back from 20 points down and not score an offensive touchdown. No freakin shit, its the most improbable comeback ever.
  17. They came back from a 20 point deficit not scoring 1 offensive touchdown. That isnt even possible in any scenario.
  18. Whenever I think of this game I cant help but laugh. There is no reason the Bears won this game. I cant believe it.
  19. Woohoo hopefully edge is hungry for the rest of the season and does well for my team.
  20. Devin "2 times" Hester? Or is Green going to go crazy and go for it.
  21. I would say that at 50 Rackers is 50%. So we need to keep them outside of 35.
  22. Make him beat you deep. I would rather lose with a big play then watch the game wear away and we lose on a fg.
