Orton can make that throw all day. Hes only done that a million times at Purdue.

Petrino was not a very good coach. Teams are just desperate for anyone that can give them something to be excited about.

The problem is Berrian unlikely will ever be a top 10 WR. He is a good to great WR2, but he is not a great WR1.

The comment about the agressive D in the bowl game is exactly my fear. I worry that we will go even more into the cover 2, 4 man rush in all circumstances. I liked the fact Rivera learned under Johnson who loves to blitz.

Seahawks are willing to move up and trade 2008 picks to accomplish it.

Cant say I really like this move. This definitely means that any sort of aggressive/ blitzing that Rivera brought in will most likely be toned down.

Hester will need atleast another full season at CB before you can really start to say he can or can not make it. At Miami he was switched from offense to defense alot, and never really played a single position. Not to mention Miami is not exactly known for "technique" as opposed to raw skill. The good news for Hester is that cover 2 is an assignment philosophy so its much easier to be good there than it is at man to man. But due to hesters athleticism he may very well turn out to be a good cover corner as well. If Hester had been groomed more like Deion at FSU, than Deion at Dallas we are talking about a completely different player.

Well depending on how he judges the personell he may think it wont be to hard to switch to a 4-3.

Rivera's cover 2 scheme varies greatly from Dungy and the Tampa 2 progeny. Unlike his predecessors he uses a variety of blitz's to get pressure on the qb which comes from his days under Johnson with the Eagles. If you compare the Bears and Colts stats, the difference is quite apparent. Colts have 0 sacks from the secondary, Ricky Manning has 2 by himself.

Stuff like this will make players not want to appear on public access shows and be good guests. Harris was clearly joking around, and the fact he is willing to give this guy anything speaks volumes about the character of Harris. Reggie has played a little to much Madden. While its okay in the confines of your own home to press the r1 button so that you taunt while going towards the endzone and then press B so that you dive in, it is not okay to do it on a real football field.

I liked how the Bears offensive line was able to protect Grossman compared to the Seahawks game. I dont really care about Rex's raw numbers just that he does not have turn overs. I think that may be the key to beating the Colts, no turn overs on offense and control the ball. The up tempo pace the Colts like to play can wear on a defense, so if the Bears offense can hold the ball and keep the Colts on the sidelines that is a victory even if they are not scoring points. Also I think that if you can keep the ball for long periods of time it prevents the Colts from getting in a good rhythm and they seem more prone to mistakes.
