Sox trade for Nick Swisher
If I recall correctly, he was more in the 96 range but his fastball had tons of movement on it, and his slider or curve was filthy. If he adds an above average changeup, while still learning how to be a pitcher, we are looking at a future ace here. I am telling everyone here right now, DLS will be making the White Sox look silly when we face him in 1-3 years.

14th pick
Brown = cheap 1 year deal... Faneca = expensive multiyear deal for someone who will be on a decline who won't be worth all that money.

JA intends on bringing Rex back
Tavaris Jackson isn't crap people... he's a good young QB who has shown he can be a NFL QB at times.

Sox trade for Nick Swisher
I despise this move. You should never trade 2 potential no. 2's or aces without at least getting pitching in return, and please don't include a young sweet swinging lefty with loads of potential on top of it. Call me crazy, but Sweeney and DLS will be haunting us for a while. I saw DLS in that summer minor league all-star game, I forget the name of it, and DLS has pure nasty stuff. I hate how people say, "well he's 2-3 years away, and we don't even know if he will be good." DLS is the best pitching we have had in a while and we will really regret trading him. And I hate it when you trade a natural like Ryan Sweeney. He has a natural swing and just has loads of talent. Give me a freakin break if you think he will suck because he hit a bump in the road when he was 21 in AAA and in a cup of coffee in the bigs.

are you impling that would be a good move?

14th pick
nah, the Bucs were gonna take him if we didn't.

14th pick
yeah, but in that case it was more like 2-3 rounds too high.

Which FA RB will Angelo target?
Jordan wants out and is asking for and getting his release. He will be FA.

Which FA RB will Angelo target?
Brown is a big upgrade over Peterson, no doubt. I see Fargas returning to Oakland, and I want no part of that piece of trash Jamaal Lewis.

Warren Sapp retires...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22493461/ Gonna miss this era's great defensive tackle. Beast of a player... but as a person he was jackass.

Which FA RB will Angelo target?
I should point out... Brown is out of Naperville North High School (and was a teammate of Justin McCareins there as well). So, he is a hometown product.

Which FA RB will Angelo target?
Chris Brown isn't restricted and he isn't bad... he's just injury prone. We almost signed him last offseason and since he will be cheap and would provide competition, I could really see him brought in again. He could be a real steal if he stays healthy, as there is no denying he is good when healthy, but that is a big if. In a reduced role getting around 5-10 carries a game, I could see him playing in 10-12 games next season granted that he will probably miss a game here or there due to being dinged up.

14th pick
while some might think it would be too high, if a team wants a player, they won't hesistate by reaching 10-20 picks on him.

14th pick
lol, you couldn't be farther from the truth, Flacco has an absolute gun.

14th pick
here is a great video of the Bears future stud QB...

Sounds like Ced needs competition
Slaton will be a second round pick due to the fact he will not be viewed as someone who will ever be able to carry to load but more of a split back in the mold of Reggie Bush.

Cameron to the Ravens
Cameron might just take a lesser role for 08/09, and if that's the case, fire Pep Hamilton's ass and get Cameron in here as our QB coach and assistant HC.

Sounds like Ced needs competition
Charles is similar to Devin Hester as in if he has the ball in his hands, he's a threat to take it to the house... Patrick, to a lesser extent.

Also, the reason why Beekman and Hass did not play was because they did not give us the best chance to win.

Why do I have to keep logging in?
I had the same problem for a while but it went away after a couple of days or so. So, the only advice I could give you is to wait and hope it gets better. Perhaps someone else has better advice.

Mulligan brings up a good point about how when Lovie first came he had little power over the assistant coaches with how he wanted Babich as his DC but JA said no and brought in Rivera. Now it's completely different.
-
JA on the score at 10
oh yeah, Lovie has all control over the assistan coaches and coordinators.

He didn't rule out using the franchise tag on Berrian.

He said Mike Brown won't be relied on but would like to have him back. He is focusing on needs this offseason and not luxuries.
