either Long or Phillips would make the biggest impact... I didn't even include McFadden cause there's no way in hell we get him. Limas Sweed is more of a possession receiver anyway, so he should be compared to Muhammad, not Berrian.

=what connorbear said...

We study(ied) game film of the other team on mondays and then we studied the game film from our game on the following saturday or sunday...

20 million guaranteed...

I strongly disagree with that... I think he can be a well above average back in this league, and with a revamped OLine and an OC who would actually give him the ball, I think he can have a great season next year... However, I feal we need to bring someone else in the challenge Benson. I like Peterson as a situational guy and special teamer, and Wolfe as a receiving threat, but that's about it...
-
Colt Brennan is so freakin overrated... He's 25 or 26, has some character concerns, doesn't have good mechanics and will have many balls batted down at the line, isn't all that great at rerading defenses, never dumps the ball down, and plays in a system that would give any half-way decent QB great stats. The only way we should think about drafting him is if we shift to the WCO (the only offense Brennan would fit into in the NFL), and even then, I'd probably prefer Josh Johnson over him.
-
We would screw ourselves over with such a move... Williams would be a terrible MIKE, IMO.
-
so, how do we get the 3 first round selections?
-
The Mike spot in the cover 2 is a much more gruelling position then WILL.
-
Davis is a decent slot man and backup receiver and special teamer... but he should have no real impact on this team. Offer him a low tender, and if someone else snatches him up, oh well.
-
lol, I was looking through the rest of that mock, and that guy has possibly made one of the worst mocks ever.
-
that mock all together is pretty terrible... 1. Woodson - I got no problem with QB in the 1st as we need our franchise QB at some point, but I'd be more keen on picking someone like Brohm as he has a higher floor and is more NFL ready, I'd say he's a mix of Orton and Grossman... However, Woodson has a ton of upside. Ideally, we pick Flacco in the 2nd or 3rd and an LT like Clady. 2. Michael Oher - If Oher does declare and does for some reason last until this pick, it would be a great pick. Only concern is that he is only 6'5"... however, if Jon Stewart is somehow magically here, he is/should be the pick. 3a. Mike Hart - please no. 3b. Michael Hamlin - if he declares and lasts until here, great, but this is another unrealistic pick. 4. William Moore - is probably better then Hamlin and even more unrealistic pick. Not a bad draft for the bears, but this guy who made the mock seems like an idiot...

I believe the only real way our offense can be successful next season with a mediocre QB is with a good 2 back system... Look at the Jags, they have two of the best power backs in the NFL and they make Gerrard so much better then he really is. Also, technically, we have 5 RB's right now... the only thing is 3 of them are HB and 2 of them are FB... a lot of teams carry 4 HB's.

Jonathan Stewart "disappeared" because Dixon's backup sucked. There was absolutely no passing game. Of course teams will stack the box.

I'm starting to lean to the idea of drafting someone like Jonathan Stewart and try and get an awesome runningback duo, sign Faneca, and draft someone like Chris Williams with our 2nd pick (Chris Williams is very similar to McNeil, IMO). I am also starting to lean to the direction of cutting Griese and bring back Grossman on the cheap (open competition between Grossman and Orton). Resign Berrian (let Briggs go), and perhaps sign someone like Bryant Johnson. Then draft someone in round 3 to develop, and oh yeah, a new OC (someone who will run a similar system but not be totally inept when calling plays)... An offense of (see below) would be sweet: QB: Grossman | Orton | Flacco RB: Benson | Stewart | Peterson | Wolfe FB: McKie WR: Berrian | Muhammad | Johnson | Hester | Bradley | Draftee TE: Olsen | Clark | Gilmore/Draftee LT: Williams | St. Clair LG: Faneca | St. Clair | Draftee OC: Kreutz | Beekman/Oakley/Draftee RG: Garza | Beekman/Oakley/Draftee RT: Tait | St. Clair One can dream...

He's got character concerns and hasn't really ever produced... he can easily last to the 6th, but he has some very good physical tools. Where he gets drafted will depend on his pre-draft interviews with NFL teams.
-
He's only playing because he wants to make sure he isn't gonna get tagged.
-
I didn't feal it was neccessary to post a link, but Felix did it for me... thank you.
-
they have an option on him after 08... at least according to rotoworld.
-
also, I should add what I think will happen... the Eagles keep McNabb as they see with a few more pieces they can still compete. Kolb isn't ready yet and the Eagles will just wait until McNabb is at his option year (after 08 I believe) on to whether they will keep him or not.
-
when did that report come out?
-
A lot of people want him, but why bring him up when it's not going to happen? Hell, for all we know, the Eagles will just plain out cut McNabb. A lot of teams will be balking at his contract.
-
the biggest snub this year was Fred Taylor... but he still makes it since Parker got IR'ed.
