  1. You're right. This morning would feel a lot different if it had been any other team at any other location. Because of that, we should just cool off and remember that except for one time ('72) every team that has won a Superbowl had at least 1 loss.
  2. We can't be mad they didn't throw the ball deep AND mad that they didn't run the ball more. That doesn't make sense. I think they were trying to throw it deep but Trubisky couldn't handle it in the second half. There were a lot of errant throws and him pulling the bull down to run it too early. Definitely saw once or twice, guys 20-25 yards deep waving their hands as he's scrambling early and netting 1 yard. The answer was run Jordan Howard more once Trubisky was struggling and let him figure out what spooked him during the week here. That's it. Hopefully, Trubisky figures it out, first game of the season plus with these guys, and all that. As frustrated as I was with the defense and Fuller's drop, it's Aaron Rodgers, if they spot you 17 points with a half to go, the offense needs to add more than 6. I place this loss on Nagy and Trubisky, even with Fuller's dropped INT. Maybe it's easier to blame them as they're the ones with very little experience who I hope will just use this as a teachable moment and get better from it.
  3. If we were resting the success of the season on Cameron Meredith, we were going to suck anyway. Relax.
  4. Anyone else just see Brandon Marshall sitting next to Roger Goodell in a suite? https://twitter.com/jordanbks/status/562073...6635906/photo/1
  5. I mean no disrespect but how on earth do you think we win in GB? That is an auto-loss. If they keep it within 3 scores, it'll be a moral victory.
  6. I suppose now that Bradford is out, we have a chance in that one. You're probably right there. So 1-3 :-/ as a best case scenario, even if Cutler is back after 4, which I'm not sure what to expect for that.
  7. You don't think we will win *every* game with Cutler out? I don't think we will win *any* game with Cutler out. Maybe Briggs has something to do with it, but we're losing the next 4. We really needed that Washington game for some cushion.

  9. No it doesn't, a bit melodramatic wouldn't you say? You play to win. A couple spots simply will not matter. The Patriots are full of top 10 picks? Getting that super high pick is such a minute part of building a team. Your comment was absolutely ludicrous.
  10. I don't see the irony. [knocks on wood]Rex played injury free all last season pretty much erasing his stigma of being injury prone.[/knocks on wood]
  11. That might be the case. I didn't follow him or research him at Arizona at all. I don't think Jones was a 1st rounder though, which kinda gives Benson more of a reason to whine and feel arrogant. I think Jones was actually a pretty late draft pick maybe 3rd round+. I could be totally wrong though Just going on memory, which isn't very good.
  12. Yea, I don't really care about how he played before the Bears though you know? Jones was a leader and could be depended on. I can only think of a handful of games in the last few years that I was disappointed in his output. Hopefully this is just one of Benson's handful, but it being the very first game and seeing a lackluster preseason it just isn't very promising. I'm not one counting Benson out just yet, but if he doesn't get 100+ at Kansas City next week, I might start leaning towards an AP/Wolfe combo. He'll have no excuse of saying it was a top-tier defense when he plays KC. I mean, part of it is his attitude as well. If you think about his holdout his rookie year, or all of his whining when Jones was starting over him, even when it was extremely obvious Jones was the better decision. He just doesn't strike me as a worker, but rather an overpaid whiner who hasn't earned a thing yet and shouldn't feel bad for getting zero respect.
  13. Hopefully he gets better, but even though he had limited work the last few seasons cause of Jones. He still had a good chunk for a system not built around him.
  14. And a couple dropped passes I believe. At least one was definitely his fault.
  15. Well, I wish I could feel positive like this. However, Benson played crappy all preseason long as well. He's really done nothing to give any sign at a prosperous future. I'm still optimistic simply because I'm a Bears fan and want to see a Superbowl win, but I'm just worried :-/
  16. I was completely happy with Grossman's play and not a thing upset me. I was really upset by Benson and is shit running ability as well as coaching decisions to keep using him over and over again, instead of letting Grossman throw a bit more. The INT wasn't his fault, stupid Berrian and his lazy routes. At worst, had the correct route been ran, he would have been there to prevent an INT but probably would have got the REC. When it looked like they were finally pissed at Benson for that one series AP goes up and fumbles. For the life of me I can't remember a single other of his fumbles. Granted, he is usually just playing on ST, but he'll got a lot more carries this year, and I'm not too worried with him. The loss of Brown and Dvoracek will hurt. Based on pure speculation we should get ready to lose Brown for the season and Dvoracek I'm unsure of, but I would think at least 4 weeks. If Benson had ran for 100 yds, and Brown/Dvoracek were still healthy I'd be perfectly fine with yesterday's loss. To be honest, I would have preferred 3 INTs from Grossman and 2 fumbles that caused the loss then such disgusting play from Benson.
  17. I've always been worried about Benson and was devastated when we traded Jones.
  18. Yesterday was pretty depressing to say the least. Dvoracek was hurt with a knee sprain as well.
  19. *Once* we win the superbowl, one in 1920x1200 would be spectacular Good work
  20. what about Benson's horrible pass protection?
