  1. Yeah, 1st round is off the books, but I would consider him in the 2nd.
  2. We need a QB and he may be available, so why wouldn't you do your due diligence and check him out? I don't buy the source knowing our interest level and I don't know how you would measure that? Also, if we are considering him, it would make sense to let NE know so there can be more talks as you get closer to the draft.

    Rookie Snaps

Absolutely, without context, it is hard to really see any cause and effect when a team is bad. However, it would seem to me that a playoff team with a ton of rookie snaps would be projected to be in a better position to have long term success than ones with fewer rookies getting PT. Also, if you look at the reverse, you can probably project which teams will have some potential cap issues in the next few years (w/ very few rookies playing): MIN, ARZ, WAS.

    Rookie Snaps

Bears in 4th. Surprisingly Vikings were in last with only 287 rookie snaps. Source: https://twitter.com/billbarnwell/status/825967715273887744

    Senior Bowl

We just lost to the Browns.....

    Choose your combo

Talk about turning a weakness into a strength, I almost like the Berry/Adams or Hooker option the best.
  7. Here is a link to some Senior Bowl observations, a bunch of sub links per day for offense and defense. They seem to cover almost every player. https://mattwaldmanrsp.com/

    A 6'4" Safety?

Yeah, your advice to select McCellin sure worked out......jk. I would say a large portion of the media uses forums, blogs, and discussion boards to find nuggets of information. Why do all the analysis when someone else already has? If the info has not been previously published by a media outlet, they take the info for their own and post it. I believe there was a writer even caught doing that where the info he was posting was basically a straight copy off someone's blog.
  9. Nice to hear, but as expected for the Browns.
  10. TE in the 5th or 7th and it would look pretty good.
  11. Jason, I 'm sorry if I didn't clarify, those were my "needs" rankings, which should impact draft order if two players of two different positions are equal in skill. For QB, I am fine with a QB in the first, as long as he is BPA at the time of the pick. Same with DL, even though I think we are good on the D-Line, it would be hard to pass on Allen or Garrett at #3. Especially if the top QB is gone and 1 of 2 of them are gone when we pick. I was thinking we could rank the team needs so you had a team prioritization list, which would then guide you through available players when there are equal value. Otherwise, go BPA all the way through and see what we look like. My dilemma is do you go with the #2 QB, #2 DL, #1 Safety, #1 CB, or #1 OL at #3.

    Chris Hogan

I wouldn't call Hogan a star, but I know what you mean. I would blame his production yesterday on utterly ridiculously bad coverage/scheme/communication of Pittsburgh's defense and secondary. Braverman would've torched them too with that coverage. I don't know if you can stereotype all players from NE or if that is a wise perspective. The only concern about New England players is that they are very system specific and if you don't run something close to what they do, it would be hard to determine the value of a player in your system.
  13. After tonight's games, 8 of the 10 playoff games have been decided by 13 pts or more. I don't remember a season where we had so many blowouts in the playoffs. Interestingly enough, the only two games not won by at least 13 pts were also the only two road wins this postseason. I am rooting for Atlanta and based on how they looked recently, this is setting up to be a great, high scoring Super Bowl.
  14. Yep, unless he was taking a head coaching gig or something higher than DC (Assistant to the Regional Head Coach), then we will be good to go.
  15. Anyone know how many of these guys are projected to go in the first 3-4 rounds?
  16. That was an epic dismantling of Green Bay. 31-0 in the 3rd quarter. Matthews was non-existent, 1 tackle and an off-sides call that extended an Atlanta drive, I love it. If Atlanta plays like that in the SB, they will beat either PIT or NE.
  17. I don't think you can limit yourself by saying we have too much money invested so we can't go that route. If we can acquire someone like Reiff, you do it, the contract lengths won't match up so some will come off books earlier than others, and without Cutler on the roster, we will have a ton of space for free agents.
  18. My current preference is: S, OT, QB, CB, TE, DL, WR, K
  19. Definitely need Safety help, possibly our weakest unit:
  20. Great rookie class, hopefully we can build on this come April.
  21. I guess you would have to determine which group was the worst and in most need of multiple picks: OT: Leno, Massie, McCants QB: Cutler, Hoyer, Shaw WR: Jeffery, Royal, White, Meredith, Randle CB: Porter, Fuller, Callahan, LeBlanc, Hall, McManis S: Amos, Jones-Quartey, Prosinski, Bush, Houston-Carson If Jeffery comes back, we have a decent WR Corps, so I would not go multiple or high with WR. So for me, I would go Secondary and OT only in the top 4 picks. So instead of TE in your example I would go OT. I think you need to draft O-Line every year.
  22. Schaub has the record for most consecutive games with a pick-6 at 4. He went out in style. Now if you are bringing him in with no expectations, but hoping he can find some of that magic that he had in 2009, 2010, or 2012, then sure, but I don't know if a 36-yr old Schaub in a new system is better than Hoyer at this point. I would rather go with a rookie or stay with Hoyer/Shaw at this point.
  23. Are we adding Schaub to win games? He is going to be 36 and hasn't played a meaningful down of football in a long time. I don't know if we can say there is "virtually no uncertainty about him" because if he was any good, he would be starting in the NFL somewhere. So I guess I would need to know what the expectation is for him? Now, if it is to win 6-8 games, I think Hoyer is perfectly capable of doing that.
  24. He would've had the over 300 yards in returns if not for a bunch of Seattle penalties (that were away from the play) and the all-time one game record. He definitely went out in style and was one of the best Seahawks on the field.
