Decker just officially got released. That move makes too much sense given his knowledge of the offense and Ben Johnson. If they can get Decker for a reasonable price, while Center got cheaper, that would be great.

So the Bears have had a slight downgrade at Center, a solid upgrade at Safety, and a very solid upgrade at LB. Also, they signed Bush and Jackson for less than what Edmunds hit would have been.

For all the PFFers, Bush was the 3rd highest graded LB in the NFL at 87.6 with over 500 snaps. The highest graded Bear last year was Jackson at 76.4, and Byard at 75.4.

Linderbaum signed for $27M per year, gtfo. A Center.

He played very solidly and is a DA guy. Also, a 2-yr deal for a max of $10M has minimal impact on the cap.

The Packers just signed a bad backup Center for $11M a year, making him one of the highest paid Centers in the league. Rhyan led the NFL in QB hits allowed for Centers, and was top 10 in penalties. So again, Bradbury is a steal.

If the Bears can somehow get Decker at LT, Decker+Bradbury is better than Trapilo or Benedet or Jones + Dalman, so the line would be better in 2026 even if slightly worse at Center.

Packers just traded for Franklin at LB, one of the worst in the league last year outside of tackle totals. The downgrade from Quay Walker to Franklin is huge. If they also lose Gary, there is no way their defense is as good as it was this year, especially considering their DC is now the HC in Miami.

McGovern resigned with the Bills for $13M AAV for 4 yrs making him the 3rd highest paid Center in the NFL. Linderbaum will probably get $15M+. That doesn't make sense for the Bears with losing Dalman so unexpectedly. Getting Bradbury for $5.7M is a great deal all things considered. Biadasz signed or $10M AAV.

He is also half the price of at least Tyler Biadasz for a 2027 5th which is equivalent to a current year 6th.

9th in snaps at Center, but 0 sacks and 0 penalties, and we are using PFF grades over that? Also considering how often Maye was sacked, Bradbury allowing zero is even more impressive.

That is true, I was thinking more hypothetically, if the Bears had a better pass rush, they would have been significantly better last year. For this year, I don't know if you can wait until after the offense is "great" though. I am not saying that means Crosby, but I wouldn't complain if they did it, as long as they didn't give up too much.

I agree, but on the flip side. If the Bears had Crosby vs <insert random Edge player> across from Sweat all year, they probably win 2 more games, and beat LAR. At that point you are in the NFCC, so there is not much higher to go.

They can restructure other deals to open up more cap if something like that gets done. So I am not too worried about what they have in cap knowing they can work the numbers.

Considering he is at the same pay range as Dalman, I don't know if the Bears wanted to pay a lesser version of Dalman the same amount of money. That is always a losing proposition.

Bears had 25, and 57, and are now getting 60, so slightly better, 3 in the top 60, and don't forget their 3rd rounder at 89.

I never expected a 2nd rounder, even giving up a late 5th. Pick #60 for Moore and Pick #163. Now if they get anything for Edmunds, that would be icing.
