I sure hope that the Bears dont go in to next season putting all their eggs in the Orton basket. they need some serious competition....whether it be a rookie or FA/trade. Orton has done well this year but he couldnt hit a downfield pass to save his life. he's absolutely horrible at it.

IMO, that's all on Lovie. this team has taken on the laid back attitude of Lovie and they dont have the same hunger. They were all satisfied with the SB 2 years ago and got paid. no need to go out and bust your ass. Alex Brown has been one of the few players that showed anything on defense this year. Briggs also played very well. tommie? sucked. Urlacher? bad. Tillman? bad. Vasher? completely horrible. If we go in to the season with the same group of players and coaches, I'll frakking puke.

yea, if Turner and the other offensive coaches had have a friggen clue, I bet Hester would be doing better. not to mention Bennett would actually get a chance to do something.

I'm not ready to give up on Hester. I think he can still be at least a good #2 and maybe #1 but he is not there. This is only his first full year he's had to concentrate primarily on playing WR...ever. In college he never had one position and his first 2 years in Chicago, he was a returner first and WR second. This year he's a WR first and returner 2nd and only doing punts now. If he's still dropping balls like a drunk hooker next year and messing up routes, then I'll be on the 'Hester Sucks' wagon. until then...
