  1. What gives you that idea? his vast coaching experience since he quit playing? do tell. Dont even compare him to Chico, Rivera MORE than paid his dues before becoming a DC. No, like I said, we should just hire them all. The entire 85 bears team, plus Buffone, Sayers, Butkus and OBradovich should all be hired to coach this team because the current coaching staff is so horribly inept. Especially if a play was named after a player at sometime. If there was a play called "Flutie sneak" then Doug Flutie should automatically be hired to be the QB coach and offensive coordinator at the same time. It would be awesome I totally think you are on to something.
  2. Man, we should just hire every former bear ever because that would make this team great. LAME
  3. I like the first post, but it was hard to read for me. Mostly because of the woman underneath it. That is all
  4. So the proper way to be a leader is to throw your quarterback under the bus? i mean, he has only done that everywhere he has gone, and each one of those quarterbacks has thrown the ball to him every chance they have because they know he is a great wide reciever. Was Jason Witten, one of the best tight ends in the league detrimental to the team on the field? I think not. Jeff Garcia did nothing but feed TO the ball time and time again(remember TO catching 20 balls against the bears?), and TO completely sabotaged the situation and then made it personal against Garcia in the worst way possible(regardless if Garcia is or is not gay, thats none of TOs damn business and completely dirty and underhanded tactics). Great character guy, thats someone I want to root for there. Dont get me wrong, I never said he was not good, I never said he was not a superstar, but I will argue with you until the cows come home if you believe that he is the type of player that honestly thinks "I want to win, jump on my back everybody!" Its bullshit. It always has been, it always will be. If he was such a great leader then Philadelphia wouldnt have paid him and sent him home midway through the season and then outright released him, especially considering the fact that McNabb has been without a star WR for pretty much his entire career. TO is all about TO, and thats it. Quit getting his numbers confused with his attitude, because they are not one and the same.
  5. And you think that is Owens? LOL. Go ahead and believe that I found this quote interesting in the Ed Werder piece
  6. Damn I never thought about that. San Francisco? Really?
  7. watch TO go to the Patriots and be a saint
  8. TO is an incredible risk, however in his first year with a team he is usually money. Then when he gets comfortable he starts causing problems At the same time, age is not his friend anymore, but he is still probably in better shape than 90 percent of the league
  9. the hamstring injury ended his season in the Superbowl season. The knee injury came last year(07, not 08), and is just nagging.
  10. With your high opinion of him im surprised you think he will actually drop to the 18th pick
  11. Apparently his work ethic and preparation are less than satisfactory. Maybe the Steelers was a wakeup call for him, but then again, maybe not
  12. hasnt Boller experienced some pretty bad injury problems with his shoulder?
  13. It will always be the opposite of whatever is happening. The 20/20 hindsight on this board is quite amazing
  14. Bearsox, I know you didnt say that he was the most overrated player in the league, I said in a previous post that you didnt. You stepped into my response to bears4ever and did your little har-de-har you silly person laugh you always do when you disagree with a post, said that i was wrong even though it was my opinion, and said he was a terrible quarterback. I countered with telling you he was a mediocre quarterback, and again said that he wasnt the most overrated player in football. I understand their running game is damn good, as well as their O-line, but i also understand that besides Jonathan Stewart, their running game and O-line was basically the same last year. Delhomme can throw off the play-fake, he can get it to Steve smith with regularity, you act as if any quarterback can step in and do the same thing. Last year they proved that to be untrue. If you disagree, thats fine, the proof for me is the difference in the record. You can point to julius Peppers and the defense blah blah blah, well Julius Peppers played last year too. So he showed up this year, who f-in cares. It doesnt change the offense. Delhomme didnt rush for 20 TDs, but he threw for 15, and im sure plenty of his 3000+yards put the running game in position for close scores.
  15. two years ago I would have agreed completely, but his tackling technique has regressed completely, I dont know that I would like to have him out there as the last line of defense if he is going to try and throw a shoulder at a running back that has already picked up steam. I used to love having Vasher out there, but ever since he got paid he forgot what made him good at what he does, it was very dissapointing watching him this year
  16. Kreutz should definitely have more sacks
  17. Your opinion. And your inflated ego plus your opinion. And my point still is, he isnt THE most overrated player in the league, regardless of what you think of him as a person They look similar but they are not similar. Thank you
  18. thanks for the brainwork. I didnt buy his explanation either, so it makes sense that you would back it up. Plus, Bearsox didnt agree with you, he disagreed with me saying that Delhomme was a reason why the Panthers are better this year. Silly me thinking that the quarterback would be a reason why a team would get better. Care to expand on your own opinion? Or are you just going to throw shit at the wall?
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHA The defense is largely the same as it was last year, when Delhomme went down, the team went in the tank. Smith was still there, he just didnt have anyone to get him the ball. Like I said, he isnt HOF or elite, but he got the job done and the team got a first round bye. And I am not going to say he is the most overrated player in football because he is a douche, it doesnt have anything to do with it. And he doesnt seem pretty terrible, just pretty mediocre. 15 TDs, 12 INTs, 3288 yards, 84.7 rating, 59.6 completion percentage, 12-4 record.
  20. Go Go Jump pass! Go Go Passion and Fire! Go Go Circumcision! Go Go Go away. Not second round, not third round, not fourth round. Not at all.
  21. Not even close. Last years results compared with this years results are a pretty good indicator of what he means to that team. That doesnt mean he is elite or HOF, but definitely not the most overrated player in football
  22. Anyone watching his press conference right now? This guy is insanely delusional.
  23. No, this argument is done. You can continue with your alternate reality by yourself
  24. Do you actually believe the bullshit you are saying about how the Bears could have had him? Are you saying I shouldnt believe Brees, even though he actually went and signed with the Saints? Go ahead with your fantasy situations, Im done arguing with you Dont compare your work search with an NFL free agent visit, its apples to skyscrapers. Or maybe oranges to volvos.
  25. When the Bears faced off against the Saints in the playoffs, there was a pre-game show segment that talked about Brees resurrection from a bad shoulder injury and he discussed what happened with his "courtship". Brees himself said that his first visit was to the Saints and the entire organization blew him away, he cancelled all of his visits and signed on the dotted line. Miami tried to get Brees to take less money, but Brees signed before he left the city
