The Giants are not that dangerous. If we played them again we would win pretty handily. Eli Manning is probably the worst quarterback that would be in the playoffs for the NFC and there defense hasn't been all that great in the last few games. We are a much different team than we were back when we played them last and the funny part about that game was that we still had a chance to win it late even with Todd Collins in. The team I fear least in the playoffs potentially is the New York Giants. I do not want to play the Packers 3 times in one season which is why we must defeat them Sunday.

I think it'll be Todd Haley personally although I think Lovie should be heavily considered. None of us thought the Bears would be where they are at now a couple of months ago when training camp began. Lovie saved the season for us right after the Bye when he supposedly told Martz to start running the ball more. He should have done in weeks before that but still, Martz obliged and now we are running a much more effective offense. It's funny how this offense has evolved over the course of the season. We went to being a pass heavy unproductive offense, to a ball control offense that ran the ball and completed short passes down field, to a balanced yet deep passing offense. I think that are players are finally getting the hang of this offensive system. Weeks ago Dilfer was talking about how this Bears team would lose in the playoffs because of their inability to stretch the field. And over the past few weeks Cutler has been money on long bombs to Knox, thus stretching the field. And because of it, we have become quite a dynamic offense. Forte is starting to pick up steam at the right time, he seems to be getting more holes to run through as well. This offensive line has also improved quite a bit since the beginning of the year. We went from the worst offensive line in the history of the NFL to just a below average one and in some cases, average. It is still a huge weakness on our team but as we saw last week they can stop a rush heavy defense like the Jets. The Jets were getting hardly any pressure at all on Jay Cutler which allows for those plays down the field to develop. If they play like they did last week in the playoffs we are going to be tough to stop on offense.

Damn. That will be scary going up against Vick twice but atleast it's in Soldier Field and he's a little banged up now.

Regardless, the Bears should go all out in Sunday's game against the Packers. IMO you knock a potential threat out of the playoffs in the Packers because they would be dangerous in the playoffs and scare me because of Aaron Rodgers. You beat the Packers and you eliminate any chance of them doing damage in the postseason.

Starting to get nervous with all these teams 7-3

Records have been updated! With the Eagles loss the Bears grab the #2 seed in the NFC and will have a first round bye in the playoffs. -
I loved Trent dilfuck eating crow on nfl live today

I missed it! What did he say? -
Yes they played extremely well for the most part. They had some stupid penalties early though that set us back but I was surprised the Jets couldn't bring any pressure on Jay at all today. They really did their job today and hopefully that carries over into next week and in the playoffs. If we can get Jay protection like that in the playoffs, this team could reach the Superbowl.

Did Trent Dilfer write this? Seriously, this guy is a complete moron. This schedule BS is pure garbage. Coming in to this year everyone thought our schedule was the toughest in the league, mainly because of the over hyped expectations of the Cowboys and the Vikings. And when we played the Cowboys they still had Tony Romo and a defense that got after the quarterback. Last I checked, Romo is one of the top QB's in this league. That was a quality win at the time before Dallas imploded in the ongoing weeks. We beat a Packers team with a healthy Jermichael Finley, and yes, WE beat them. Julius Peppers was a beast in that game and forced alot of penalties on the Packers offensive line. People like to find excuses so that they can feed their own egos, saying the Packers gave us the game when that couldn't be further from the truth. Our other quality wins came against the Eagles. Hello? That lasted about a week until now all of a sudden everyone has suddenly forgotten the fact that we did indeed win and we blew them out. If it weren't for that lucky Vick pass late that should have been picked off, the game was actually alot more of a blowout than the score indicated. We had an ugly loss to the Patriots but they are the Patriots and are far and away the best team in the NFL. But we came back out the next week to beat the Vikings and now the Jets. I guarantee you every playoff team in the NFL has had their fair share of "Easy wins" as far as the opponents are concerned and nobody talks about that. The Bears just find ways to win and that is all that matters.

What an idiot. Why would you be jumping offsides at a time ike this?
-
Sanchez should have been picked off probably 3 times today. Catch the damn ball!
-
This might be the worst defensive performance I've seen from this team in years even in blowout losses. This is just awful.
-
Good god, Idonije couldn't even bring Mark Sanchez down. How about tackling him by his arms so he can't get the throw off? The Bears are just giving this game away. So frustrating!
-
How have the Bears not figured out yet that the Jets are going to run the slant all day long? How bout adjusting?
-
Christ.. Of course, Gould misses the FG. We had to score 7 there. Looks like the Jets are about to take the lead back.. Unless we put a defense on the field.
-
This defense is soo bad
-
The defense isn't even trying. As bad as it may seem this offense is going to have to win it for us because it's pretty evident this defense can't stop anyone right now.
-
Defense going back to sucking. Absolutely pathetic.
-
TD Bears! Now lets hope the defense wakes up in the 2nd half. Mark Sanchez is not a great quarterback and can be forced into some bad throws. Let's start forcing some more turnovers.
-
Holy cow, you would think this defense could stop them just once. This is an absolute clinic, similar to the Patriots game of how to exploit our defense.
-
Well yeah, OL is more important, but the Bears need a speed guy to compliment Forte.
-
Can't afford to give up points to end the half here..
-
Any other starting RB in the league would have taken that to the house.
-
Forte can't even make one guy miss. Hope the Bears draft a running back next year..
-
This team will get embarrassed by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers next week unless this cover 2 scheme changes in the next week and we get a good quarterback.
-
lmao, is there even a defense on the field? I thought this defense wasn't supposed to allow the 20+ yard throws down the field? So much for that. There isn't even a Bears defender within 10 yards of a Jets receiver on this drive and they complete yet another 3rd and long.
