Yeah, our run defense is usually one of the best in the league and that's Pittsburgh's bread and butter. If we can shut that down, we just have to worry about Big Ben add libbing and extending plays that should be dead. The key is to get sacks and put constant pressure on him. With Troy out, that is a huge lost to their defense. They are still capable of putting on pressure but they won't have that extra man in the box to take out Forte. I expect Matt to have a huge game on the ground.

I think Aaron Rodgers still throws for over 300 and atleast a TD or 2, he's that good. I hate to say it but the guy can throw the ball and our defense is still suspect. Unless Zack Bowman turns into Champ Bailey and plays in all the games this season, we are going to still struggle against the pass. I still see the Bears coming out on top though.

Yeah the NFL rules are getting a bit ridiculous now, especially with the quarterbacks. It's as if it's not even tackle football anymore. You get flagged for launching your head into somebody's body when it grazes their helmet, you get flagged for using your body weight to tackle a quarterback... What I'd like to know is how do you not use your body weight when going in for a tackle? I'd like to see someone do that.

I don't get it. Why are we doing this? I believe the guy retired because he's 36 and realized he wasn't any good anymore.

It's the first game of the season, I think we will come out dominant. Look at what happened last year. Our defense was awful the majority of the season but in that first game against the Colts they couldn't do anything against us. Granted, Manning was hiding an injury that was much worse than everyone thought but we can contain the Packers. If we force them into turnovers we now have a quarterback that will take advantage of that. My early prediction for week 1 is, Bears win 27-10.

How is he out for the year with an ankle?? So I guess now it's back to Forte carrying the load. I don't trust AP or Wolfe at all to let them sniff even 2 carries a game. Hope we can find a diamond in the rough off someones practice squad or somewhere else. We need a speedy guy to compliment Forte.

Stupid move to let Brandon Rideau go. Davis isn't even that great of a special teams player either. Why not just load up on project WR's in Rideau AND Aromashodu as opposed to going with a man with stone hands who all he has is a little more experience in Rashied Davis?

Rideau has struggled all preseason. It'll be tough for him to make the team.

But the thing of it is, we aren't playing against Aaron Rodgers. He's capable of alot more than Orton obviously. Our offense will be fine, hopefully our defense holds up all year long!

Well according to Mark Schlereth A.K.A "Bears hater" Forte should be no where close to a top 5 fantasy running back because Jay Cutler is there to go down the field. He then goes on to say Cutler is not a top 10 fantasy QB because the Bears are a running team and Cutler doesn't have the talent around him. Somebody find a face palm...
