  1. He's going to be 29 already before the end of the year. How many good years does he even have left in him? This was partly the reason I did not like it when they drafted him. With these injuries starting to pile up on him, his career could be over sooner than we think.
  2. That's insane. I know he had one intentionally incomplete pass to stop the clock, and then there was the Daniel Brown drop and the Cruz drop that cost him some completion % numbers too. The deep ball he threw to Cruz also should have been a flag, which wouldn't have counted had that play been properly ruled. The only true miss throws he had I think were the two batted balls and the last one that went out of bounds as time expired. So, yeah.. Trubisky's accuracy is really freakin good!
  3. Dak Prescott played against 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers last year in pre-season too before Tony Romo got hurt. His first few drives came against Denver's 2nd unit, so it's not like he was only out there against a garbage crew. But yes, I do agree that we shouldn't get too carried away over one pre-season game. But the stuff we did see tonight, I think there is definitely a legitimate reason for optimism.
  4. My conclusion after tonight's game is that the Bears are going to blow this year, but Trubisky looks really good. He very easily could have had 3 TD's tonight. I was really blown away by his accuracy. I had heard Pace talk about it extensively after the draft, but I didn't realize he was THAT good with his ball placement. Some of the throws he was making on the move tonight reminded me a little bit of Romo or Rodgers. His deep ball looks like it could use a lot of work, but other than that, there wasn't a single bad thing you could say about him tonight. I also love how he quietly had almost 40 yards on the ground tonight. His ability to run, as well as throwing it, will always keep the defense honest. Watching him tonight got me pumped for the future. It's only one game, but damn. Kid looked really good out there. Hats off to him.
  5. Whitehair should remain where he is. No need to move him. He's been great as a center.
  6. That's true, but if Trubisky sucks, there is no replacement for a real franchise QB, and if the Bears are in position to land one again next year and pass because of what they think Trubisky will be, it'll be a tough pill to swallow. But yeah, hopefully he's good and we won't have to worry about it. My gut tells me otherwise, though.
  7. The funny thing is, the Bears are going to have a top 3 pick again next year (most likely #1) in a year when the quarterback class is supposed to be better, but they won't be able to after what they gave up for Trubisky..
  8. My god this draft has bust written all over it. So many players taken from small schools, and a quarterback who's only had 13 starts in college.
  9. LOVE this pick. Perfect compliment to Howard.
  10. I think they're almost forced to trade back now to get back at least a 3rd rounder.
  11. Lol. This franchise sucks.
  12. Adams has been my #1 guy from almost the beginning. The leadership + the production + the intangibles make him a no brainer top 3 pick, and it's that exact reason why the Bears won't take him. They'll take one of the injured guys, Allen or Hooker, and watch Adams become the next Brian Dawkins.
  13. They now are the least talented team in the NFL after losing Alshon.
  14. Alshon going to the Eagles for 1 year 14M.. The Bears are losing their best receiver for what amounts to much less than what the franchise tag would have been. Ryan Pace is officially one of the worst GM's in the NFL.
  15. I had high hopes for Ryan Pace in the beginning, but it has become very clear that he has absolutely no idea what he's doing. What are you rebuilding if you constantly get rid of your better players ever year for guys that aren't as good? How can you develop a quarterback if he has nobody to throw to?
  16. Ryan Pace is a freakin joke. Antrell Rolle all over again. Only thing that would make this worse is if it keeps them from taking Jamal Adams with the 3rd overall pick for Jonathon Allen and his arthritic shoulders.
  17. I'd love Patterson as the special teams returner. It's about time Ryan Pace took that position seriously. Also, give me Bouye over Gilmore. Gilmore has major consistency issues. Not a bad player, but not the guy I'd be throwing my money at if I had the choice between the two of them..
  18. Why the hell wouldn't they just go after Tyrod Taylor?? He's a much better player than Glennon! Whatever they do, they must draft a QB in the 1st 2 rounds. I'm a fan of Kizer and Watson.
  19. 1- Garrett 2- Kizer 3- Peppers (Trade down) 4- Adams (Trade down)
  20. If Garrett isn't there, I like either of the two safties, giving a slight edge to Peppers because of special teams. Then draft your future QB in the 2nd round.
  21. The Bears are already playing with a JV squad. Half their team is on IR or is unable to play from week to week. The tank move you're asking for would be to start Barkley over Cutler, but John Fox isn't in a position where he's comfortable enough with his own job security to flush the rest of the season down the toilet. That said, I absolutely am hoping the Bears can hold onto a top 3 draft choice for next year. I think the odds of them getting the #1 pick are already out the door, but being #2 or #3 is still within reach. Worst case scenario is that they end up with the #5 pick. I can't see many scenarios where the Bears win more than 4 games this year.
  22. If John Fox isn't fired by the end of the season, I will have lost all faith in this organization. It's clear that whatever magic he used to have in rebuilding teams isn't there anymore. His gameplans suck as much as his clock management. I also think it's become pretty apparent that Adam Gase had a whole hell of a lot more to do with some of the wins last year than John Fox did. Cutler's progress went back down the toilet the minute he left. Last year's offense wasn't good, but at least they came out with a plan and looked organized. This whole team is a mess. The defense sucks, the offense sucks, the special teams suck, the coaches suck. I don't want John Fox anywhere near a new franchise quarterback. Get somebody else.
  23. 4 turnovers in 25 minutes... lol! This team is a dumpster fire. I can't wait until the year is over.
  24. Imagine that: Cutler heals just in time as Brian Hoyer goes to IR.
