  1. Nevermind, Bears offense and Ben Johnson go right back to being awful. Ben Johnson is not in Matt Lafluer's class as a coach.
  2. Wright continues to find ways to impact games. Huge turnover.
  3. I'm calling it now. The Bears will lose out. They invested so much emotional energy into the idea they were going to win this game, and for them to get embarrassed the way they are now, I don't see them winning another game.
  4. It is beyond maddening how often this team will shit the bed after getting an explosive play. As soon as Monangai had that big catch and run and didn't score, you knew this offense wasn't scoring a touchdown.
  5. Bears have too many plays every game that go for zero yards due to throwaways. Their quick passing game is non-existent.
  6. The great Ben Johnson, lmao. What a pathetic end of half drive. They've been bad at that all year. Another blown opportunity to double up. The crowd is freakin dead. This feels like an embarrassing loss.
  7. Lol, and now the Bears are just going to allow Malik Willis to kill them. This is freakin embarrassing. Shut out in almost 2 quarters without Micah Parsons.
  8. This game close to becoming a disaster if GB scores a TD now. Offense goes back in the toilet after a good start to the first drive. Everytime the Bears offense gets close to FG range, there's always some sort of penalty or miscue that negates opportunities for points.
  9. If the Bears lose now, look at that drive as the blown opportunity. What an idiotic playcall. Caleb looked locked in on that drive and Ben Johnson fucks it up.
  10. And of course, right out of the gate, the Bears commit a moronic penalty to set the Packers up at midfield.
  11. Apparently Jacobs is going to play despite not practicing at all and being on crutches this week, but Burden and Odunze had to be ruled out 3 days before the game... That irks me. The Bears have to punch the Packers in the mouth early. Make them feel the doubt of not having Micah Parsons out there. That's a tough loss to get over emotionally that quick. I just think they are ripe to be jumped on out of the gate.
  12. Yeah, it's either going to be GB or SF. Getting the 1 seed would make it more likely they play the winner of TB/CAR vs PHI in the 2nd round, which would be awesome, but that's an uphill battle still.
  13. If someone else gets injured in pre-game warmups tonight, I'm going to be livid. Really worried about Edmunds and Swift, in particular.
  14. Right now, the Bears have 3 likely scenarios to get in: 1-Beat GB + SF/DET = clinch division 2-Beat DET = clinch wildcard 3- Beat SF + SF beats SEA = clinch wildcard The Packers game by itself doesn't guarantee anything other than allowing the Bears to clinch the division the following week. The last two games are the most important for the tiebreaker, with DET being the most important due to them already having 6 losses. Beating just SF and getting in is possible, but they'll need help from SEA.
  15. Bad news day for the Bears. Odunze and Burden both aren't practicing again, which doesn't bode well for Saturday. However, Christian Watson was practice for GB and has already said he's playing, as is Josh Jacobs.... If all Burden has is a low ankle sprain, he cannot allow that to keep him out of this game. I'm going to be pretty pissed if he sits this out, but then comes back next week. Now is not the time to take a week off to get 100%. In my eyes, any injury that isn't serious enough to keep you out multiple weeks is an injury you should play through at this point in the season. Playoffs and the division are on the line now.
  16. I really hope Watson is out for at least this week. They are a different offense with him out there. Either way, the Bears have to win this game. The Parsons loss is significant. The Packers might still be psychologically affected by it with the short turn around on Saturday. The Bears need to come out hot in that first half and put that doubt back in their heads. Winning 2 out of the next 3 will clinch the division. Time to put up or shut up.
  17. DET and GB both lose! Parsons looks like he tore his ACL, and who knows about Watson. Catastrophic news for the Packers, but the Bears have to capitalize on Saturday night. No excuses!
  18. I may have spoken too soon! Rams look like they're about to put the game away. DEN/GB still too close for comfort at the moment, but Broncos are in scoring territory up 1 in the 4th.
  19. Nightmare scenario is taking shape. Lions and Packers both look like they're going to win. Bears could be the first team to miss the playoffs in the new format with 11 wins. It's going to take at least 12 now.
  20. Bounce back game from the defense today. Offense looked good for about a quarter. They just struggle to put a complete game together for 60 minutes. A stronger offensive showing would have given me more confidence going into this final stretch, but they really needed this win. Now they need to beat GB and win at least one more in the final two to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs.
  21. Caleb doing his best to somehow end this game under 60% completion %. He started off the game so well, but the accuracy just can't last an entire game. That was a rocket thrown to Monangai from 3 feet away. Too many layups missed.
  22. No idea what Caleb is doing. Get rid of the ball! Everything is way too slow developing. That last sack is inexcusable. There were multiple guys open on that play and he just holds the ball waiting for Myles Garett.
  23. This might be the best Swift has looked in a Bears uniform. I've never seen him look so decisive and elusive.
  24. Bears have been very fortunate the last few minutes between Caleb's TD pass and that pick. We need it, though. Now they have to finish.
  25. Ben Johnson is going to lose the Bears this football game. Easily the worst coaching he's done since being hired.
