Vet minimum deal which is nice, more than likely doesn't start but he'd be solid depth.

I presume there is a good chance he is one of our starting 3-4 ends. He seems like he profiles as a good fit given that his job is really to take up space, hold the point of attack and allow our OLB's to make plays.

FWIW, he ranked 45th out of 47th among 3-4 DEs last year. Under good coaching he might improve (still just 27) but as a vet minimum player I kinda doubt they intend on starting him.

I think he is just a depth signing, we have only a couple of DEs for the 3-4 we need to add some bodies. He wont start but if whoever we have start he will be his backup.

Definitely just a depth signing, but even if it improves the bottom half of our roster, it is still an improvement. Also, at his age and with new coaching, he might be able to improve.
