#5 Utah vs #23 Cal

 

 

I believe college Game day is in Utah, should be lots of media hype. Big stage, pressure packed game against the highest ranked Pac 12 team. Lets see if Goff can handle it. Utah is suppose to have a pretty good defense too.

 

 

If he plays lights out the media buzz around him is only going to get bigger.

 

 

Utah's pass defense is in the bottom half of the FBS. Should be a fun game to watch though, I kinda like Travis Wilson too. He's got a bum shoulder so he mighttt not play, we'll see.

ya not good. Look, Goff does not have many weapons and some of those picks are on the WR (getting beat on the route). He obviously has the tools but has not made great decisions. We already have a QB that has all the tools but makes bad decisions so im not sure we draft another

I missed a couple of INT's, saw one that got tipped by a lineman, I think one tipped by a WR and the 5th one. Pressured, threw it off his back foot and shorted it.

 

 

Not a good performance. He is talented and there is a lot of football left in the season to help his body of work.

 

Was really rooting for him tonight.

2. Anyone who wants Goff with the purpose of replacing Cutler needs to reevaluate their opinion. This guy is forcing throws, throwing poor balls, staring down receivers, and generally imploding on national TV. He's doing what you hate in Cutler.

Off topic, Cal had three timeouts, no clue why they didn't use them and take their time getting the best play called possible and calm your team down.

I'm moving off the Goff 1st Rd bus and will keep an eye on Cardale Jones.

I just hope the Bears continually draft a QB in the first 3 rounds until we find our guy. The Packers do it and then trade guys like Flynn. We need to do the same. Cutler's not getting any younger. If we're not grooming someone, we're going to have to pay dearly or use has-beens.

interesting you bring up Jones. I was just thinking i bet we could get Braxton Miller in the 4th. Before the injury he was a top QB.

Cardale has been bad this year too. He should have went pro last year because right now he's losing money.

Braxton is playing WR or Hback or whatever OSU calls it. I guess he cant throw the ball like he used it, one of the reasons he moved positions.

There is still a lot of football left, he very easily could end up top 5 depends how the rest of the season pans out. I cant see scouts dropping him from one game, all QB's have bad games. NFL scouts are looking way deeper into him then our eye tests.

 

 

I agree with you on the defensive pick in the first round. I really hope the Bears are in a position to draft defense, or even a stud LT. That would pretty much mean Cutler jumps the turnover hurdle and keeps doing what he is doing with the injury depleted offense or even gets better.

 

 

 

Watching the Cal game again, his first TD pass was a thing of beauty.

Others are right, I haven't watched any OSU games so I really have no clue on how Cardale Jone's has done other than the fact he got benched, which isn't a good sign. Right now it seems clear there are no QBs worthy of going in the top 15 of the 2016 draft. There is still Cleveland whose history shows no fear of taking average QB prospects in the top 10.
