Draftek Mock 7 Rounds

Featured Replies

11. Shaq Lawson OLB Clemson

41. Jeremey Cash SS Duke

72. Brandon Doughty QB Western Kentucky

106. Anthony Zettel DE Penn State

150. Harlan Miller CB SE Louisiana

185. David Morgan TE Texas San Antonio

204. Antonio Longino ILB Arizona State

206. Daniel Lasco RBF California

230. Jarron Jones DT Notre Dame

Starts almost how I had my "everyone agrees mock".

I don't know why, but I really think the brass is going to try to find the next Von Miller.

Finding the next Von Miller won't start with Shaq Lawson. He's a good player but we already have players like him on our team.

Yeah, Lawson isn't slow, but he's also not Von Miller. I wonder what Lamarr Houston would run these days in the combine events. At the combine he was 305 pounds and ran a 4.85. These days he's listed at 270. I'd venture to believe he would be in the 4.7s.

I would prefer they hold off on an OLB. Maybe find a fast UDFA and have Fangio mold him into that future speed guy.

If the draft fell like draftteks mock I would try and trade down. Washington needs corners and Hargreaves, who I'm not sure is the type of corner Fangio wants, fell so lets say they come in and offer up a 3rd round pick to move up.

1. William Jackson CB- Fits the "Fangio mold" of a bigger corner. Bears are said to like him.

2. Jason Spriggs OT- Big athletic LT

3. Chris Jones DL- No chance he actually falls like this but hey....

3. Jayron Kearse S- Everybody likes Kearse.

4. Jerel Adams TE- Wanted Nick Vannet, but upon review of Adams the kid is intriguing.

4. Kevin Hogan QB- I tend to agree with Drafttek in that Hogan will be taken earlier than some past mocks, late 4 sounds right.

5. Cyrus Jones CB- Great return man and CB depth

6. Max Tuerk OL- This guy was talked about as a 2R player before injury. Could be huge value as the backup to all 3 interior spots once healthy.

6. Keith Marshall RB- Another potential steal.

7. Dan Vitale SB- I think he gets taken a few rounds higher but maybe that's just the homer in me. He could add a lot as a 7th rounder.

I can see if falling like that, I can buy into that being a good draft.
