Packers are in desperation mode. They never signed fa before like this. There recent drafting must have been bad for them to start signing fa's.

I'm surprised the Packers would spend $3mil for a backup run stuffer. The Bears OTOH would seem more likely to have paid that price. Whatever value Pace sets for a player he isn't going to move too far off that mark just to get him to sign. For a man leading a 3-13 team there is no desperation in his moves.
