Jones extended in GB (for a lot of money)

Featured Replies

That is a lot of money for an RB. He is now the 6th highest paid RB, behind McCaffrey, Kamara, Elliott, Cook, and Henry. I never saw him in that group.

GB is at least $12M over the cap, so expect a lot of restructuring or cuts before Wednesday.

I’m curious what they’re thinking about their QB position.  Last year there were murmurs of Rodgers possibly leaving especially with their choosing Love in the 1st round.  Think they’re gonna see how much they can squeeze out of Rodgers before they need to try Love or??  Not sure how any of it will count against their cap.  Obviously Love has at least a few more years before he counts towards their contractual commitments, being on a rookie contract and all.

Those 2 picks last year didn't make much since as their first 2 picks. I think they probably planned on letting Jones go after last year but changed their mind. Having a future QB in place isn't that bad an idea but with the first pick?

In today's game, burning any years of a rookie deal makes it that much harder to maintain success. Even KC burnt a year of Mahomes' rookie deal, and now they are cutting top O-Linemen to clear cap space.
