Kyler Gordon with another pick and nice return. He is on fire. Wow. He has been night and day after coming back after missing that game. 

Bears can't get much going, then Mustipher snaps it sideways and the Bears have to punt. Gill booms a 63 yarder and pins the Bills back deep.

Say what you will about Poles (and to some degree coach Flus) but they found some sweet gems in Gordon and Brisker.  I have faith in their talent evaluation for defense.  

Brisker sacks Allen on 3rd Down, almost a sack, and the Bills are forced to punt. Rookies all over making plays, love to see it. Regardless of the outcome of this game, Gordon, Brisker, Jones (finally), and Gill all making impact plays.

They went BPA, which is tough when you had so many holes on offense, but it is the best way to build the roster. You need as many blue chippers as possible. I was hard on Gordon all year, so I am glad he is making me look like an ass.

Fields came into the game needing 40 rushing yards to pass Vick for the 2nd most in a season for a QB. He has 7 yards, needs 33 more. 

Santos says screw the wind and nails a FG, 10-6 Bears.

Wow, the Bears defense stops the Bills and they miss a FG. Bears still up 10-6.

Meanwhile the more sure footed Bass (or at least this year) misses his own FG attempt.  Things going the Bears way today.  Looking good these last two weeks against far surperior teams. 

I highly doubt the Bears hang all game, but to have a 10-6 lead against the #1 seed in the AFC after they had a lead against the #1 seed in the NFC last week if really impressive.

In other news, Carolina is destroying the Lions 24-7 at half.

and just like that, the Bears terrible run defense is back, lets up a super easy long TD run to Singletary. 

and as part of the Tankathon sweepstakes, HOU is tied with TEN in the 2nd quarter. Bears still in play for the #1 pick if HOU wins 2.

Bears going lateral to the LOS a lot today, I don't like it. If they are going to do that, they have to do some counters.

and the defense allows another easy rushing TD, basically untouched for 20+ yards. I have no clue what defense Williams is calling with so much space in the middle wide open.

Bears now down 21-10 just like that. Defensive scheme against the run has been brutal. I don't know if I want Williams back next year. Too soft of a defense.

We are going to be good next year.

Bears punt, now Bills punt. It would be nice if the Bears could get at least one more TD drive before losing.

Fields has another pass tipped at the LOS. He needs to work on that in the offseason. Just too many of those, especially on 3rd Down. 

After a Matt Adams peanut punch for a fumble, Fields throws a bomb to Velus Jones who makes a silly catch for a 44-yard gain! Holy shit!

 

 

Velus Jones 2-52 yards and 93 return yards. 145 all-purpose yards, not bad considering the other team and the weather.

 

Bears convert a 4th and 2 with a Fields pass to Griffin for 3 yds.

Morrow now with an INT. 2 on the day for Allen, following 2 against Hurts. That is seriously impressive.

If Getsy is not doing what he is doing on purpose, then I really don't like his game plan. Everything is stretch and lateral to the LOS. That is terrible against a team like Buffalo. After the first drive, everything has been to the sidelines. I do not like it. 

22-3 in the 2nd half. Both sides of the ball look pretty terrible.

Bears defense decides not to cover Knox for another easy TD for the Bills. Funny how this was 10-6 at half. If they are not purposely doing this, then I am concerned. Now down 35-13.
