Equanimeious St Brown agrees to 1 year extension

Featured Replies

I suspect this is more StBrown wanting to be here than Poles wanting to make sure he's here.  Regardless, it's likely low risk on the Bears part, maybe a small guarantee.  Having him at least in camp with his experience in the system is a big help and if we toss in some rookies or other FAs having someone experienced around to help is a good thing.  With Poles and Eberflus we know if he wasn't a team player he wouldn't be getting this offer.

Why not, he's a team player, as a 4 or 5, no problem.

I like it.  He knows this offense, great blocker, and I think he can improve once Fields develops as a passer.

and its still just a one year deal. its more development time, like a super draft pick, but Poles isnt tied to him, and can cut him in training camp or anytime, theres no real cap ramifications.

If you noticed the first year, there is only a couple contracts that he can't get out of cheaply.

We got a solid #5.  I'm indifferent.  I'll dance when we get a 1 or 2...
