Poles has already established he prefers to build off the draft and fills the middle and bottom of the roster with free agency. He added two blue chip players thru trades.

The big win this off-season was resigning JJ  win win.

Last year EJAC was a weakness and Poles addressed it with adding 3 Ss. Owens is a good get.

Kevin Byard is a tough team leader, and will add more TOs

We have added Keenan Allen and Gerald Everett, both have a low drop rate

Swift upgrades the RB room and guarantees strong depth.

We have added 4 OL, 2 capable OCs that can play OG. 2 OTs that can play OG. None are going to a pro bowl but definitely an upgrade. Jones and Wright would be a year more developed. Davis is past his personal issue and will end up a plus player. Hopefully Jenkins can stay healthy.

The defense is a edge and DT away from being elite. Will be addressed in the draft.

Whether its Caleb or Justin they are  put in a good place to succeed. I tink Poles had a 4 year rebuild that may have arrived in year 3.

One of the reasons for this is the fantastic trade he crafted with Carolina last year.

Will the enormous success of that trade influence him to repeat trading #1?

Or does he cash out, accepting his bounty without going for the gold via trade 2.0?

Starting 22:

QB - Fields or Williams
RB - Swift
WR - Moore
TE - Kmet
OT - Jones
OG - Jenkins
OC - Shelton
RG - Davis
RT - Wright
TE - Everett or WR3 - Scott
WR - Allen

DE - Sweat
DT - Billings
DT - Dexter
DE - Walker
LB - Edmunds
LB - Edwards
CB - Johnson
CB - Stevenson
CB - Gordon
FS - Byard
SS - Brisker

So the worst players in these 22 are Scott on offense, and probably Walker and Dexter on defense. So WR3, Edge2, and DT are really the only spots where an upgrade is likely.

I'd love to see Scott turn it around this year. Most of us had high expectations for his rookie season. For whatever reason, he struggled. I am hoping that with the rookie year behind him and with the addition of KA, he can become a productive WR for us.

Most rookies struggle their first year. 2-3 years is normal. Now blue chip players sometimes hit the ground running. I'm curious if V Jones lasts one more year. Can Waldron find a way to use him.

In all that we look at year 2 is when young players usually make a jump.

Dexter

Scott

Pickens

Stevenson

T Smith

Wright

R Johnson

N Sewell

Does the new DL coach help Robinson get his act together?

Does Colin Johnson make a contribution?

Man, to say Dexter is the worst player on our D is crazy.

That's how much the roster has improved in 2 years.

I know. Dude was a stud at UF and has so much potential. He should be doing plyometrics 3x a week to improve his burst.

He is working out, looks like he added some muscle.
