adam
It looks like the Bears created enough cap space for operating during the season after restructuring Jaylon Johnson's contract (saved $8M on this year's cap). However, I don't think there is room to add any big ticket guys like Zadarius Smith. At most it will be a vet minimum guy that doesn't impact the cap. Stinger226
Poles has already set the core players up with the contracts he gave out. We don't have a lot of cap space for two years. Our improvement will be from players they drafted and roster players improving. We will get to see first hand if his roster development are winners. If we have a winning season, probably would say he did a good job. If not we now have a great coaching staff to get player development and it will take another year to fix. These are my opinions, I don't pretend to know what Poles and BJ think. The fact I need to say this every time I post now seems condescending to the members of this forum but we do what we need to do to try to get along. The player who signed a contract yet hinted he needs more money. I hope Poles restructured him to help the team in the future so they dont get stuck with less dead cap if he demands a trade.
