adam
Lions favored by 6, the 4th biggest spread of the week. For how bad the Bears looked, the Lions looked worse in Week 1. For EPA/P for the offense and defense, after Week 1: Bears 23rd and 6th Lions 22nd and 26th The Lions defense was bad and lucky they didn't give up 40. The Bears were unlucky and gave up 27. I don't think the Bears defense allows that much again. I also think the offense musters at least another TD (to replace the defensive one from Week 1) but I don't trust Santos at all. So I am going with 24-20 Bears. One of these teams is going home 0-2 on Sunday, both overall, and in the Division. Hopefully the team rises up for Ben as he got a lot of hate, for no good reason, for leaving Detroit.

Turn around a bad Bears franchise and NFL legend status awaits him.

adam
Looks like Gordon and Jarrett might be out this week. Jaylon a full participant is promising. Did Poles jump the gun on the Gordon extension? He averages 3 missed games per season and already has one this year, with #2 looming. He is 22nd in the NFL for CBs in AAV, which is normally the range for your CB1. We will see how that plays out, but it sucks that he is out with a soft tissue injury considering he is so athletic. adam
Line now at Bears -6.5. Now the 2nd highest spread of the week. Bears +6.5 seems like a great bet because it feels like a game that will be within a TD.

If he let the contract play out and he signs somewhere else the Bears Nation would throw a fit. At the end of the contract, some will have been good and some may have been a bad decision. Did GB make a bad decision paying Parson 47 mil a year with knowing he has back issues. If they go to a SB, no, if doesnt play a lot of snaps during the contract , yes. I didn't mind the extension because they needed to lock up some of their drafted players but Gordon is still the highest paid CB2 in the NFL by a big margin, and will probably still be the highest paid CB2 next season (unless 10+ CBs sign new contracts that exceed his). DABEARSDABOMB
I should just get it out of the way - but I am expecting they get blown out today. Detroit is a much better team, at home, coming off a loss and Bears are still very much in early season, new coach mode.
Stinger226
My mind tells me that we will play better and still lose, but I watch my team (Bears) with my heart and hope. One day we are going to be a very good team, why not want it to be today. 27-24 Bears.

ASHKUM BEAR
Penalties.... and that fumble, ugh. Can we just play fundamentally strong for a game.
adam
Offense looks much better, then Swift fumbles. Defense got gashed in two drives, then force 3 and out.
adam
2nd and 1, hands to the face on Thuney, no call. Then terrible spot on Williams sneak on 4th down.
adam
Bears defense stands tall with Lions starting in Bears territory after turnover on downs. Missed FG for DET. Bears have chance to tie.
adam
These penalties are ridiculous. Every time the Bears have a positive play, there is a penalty on the Bears. Yet the Lions are not called for the same exact thing.
adam
Welp, there is the INT, on a throw-away. Bears checking everything off the Bingo Card today. Holy crap.
Bears4Ever_34
This team looks poorly coached. No discipline whatsoever. OL continues to make things impossible for the offense to succeed. Caleb was playing great until that last boneheaded play.

Yeah, O-Line is not playing anywhere near to their potential, impacts the entire offense.

adam
Bears -3 in turnovers, down 21-7, Jaylon out. Penalties 4-0. The Lions have not been called for a penalty. Game over. Can't beat the refs. On Monty's 18-yd run, Byard was clearly held, but no call.
