I dont think Jaylon will ever come back to form or be team leader . The guys seems to shy from contact then the rookie Thieneman comes in to clean up.

Caleb might need to take his zip down a notch or the receivers need to learn how to catch.

Another shit rep by Jaylon Johnson...

He wont be seeing another contract here. Talks the talk but has no balls to walk.

Should be 27-7 if not for Jaylon freaking Johnson.

I don't like Dennis Allen playing passive after the first few drives. Defense looked much better with chaos at the LOS.

Pass rush is not matching the coverage. Gotta have at least one safety over the top, too easy of a throw with no risk over the top.

Drake Maye is for real. This is a good QB battle. I want the Bears to invest in trenches but damn they need another CB or two.

That missed FG may wind up costing us big. It would have made it a 2 possession lead. Now?

Ugh, the doink returns. Key now is to move the ball cautiously, hope to score, but drain the clock.

Trenches is always first.

I hear that, my wishes, but no way is JJ coming back. Ex Bears calling him out tonight on Twitter. You know they will take CB day 1 or 2.

When everyone was filling out their preseason predictions, how many of us had us winning this game?

Now, with a mini bye, we can prepare for Seattle, who have proven vulnerable.

Hope we have a clean injury report by the time we play next.

Again, cute...

I assume you love vanilla ice cream? LOL

I love that he is unpredictable (within reason ;-))

A win is a win but man. Jaylon Johnson responsible for at least 14 pts. He is cooked, slow, can't cover, can't tackle. Cam Lewis also a liability.

Caleb with another 300 yard game with no picks. Burden on fire early. Odunze with some clutch catches late. Kmet is likely done for the year, helmet to the knee, did not look good.

5-2 heading into the mini bye. The next game is MNF in Seattle. With the injuries, especially to Caleb this is about as good as we could have hoped for thru 7 games.

The crazy part is this team has not put played their best ball yet.

We need Mack or a DT, potentially a CB and to get Bryant back.

Great win and fun game with exception of JJ and Kmet injury. Hope Kmet is ok. Wishing him all the best!

Ben said it didnt look good (Kmet) but will know more tomorrow. Hoping no breaks or tears and only bruising.

Odunze redeemed himself tonight. Now build off that.

Thursday night game these are always sloppy. Nobody feels good. Plus Ben said several players weren’t feeling well and still wanted to play but no clue who. Loveland took a big hit in Atlanta on the first TD. Those hits linger.

Or make a trade this year.

Unc and Ocho are ripping on Cam Lewis because on the last play of the first half he owned the RB. Instead he decided to get greedy and blitz. They said he knew he messed up and that’s why he was chasing him all the way down the field. I remember seeing him doing that. Still doesn’t excuse Jaylon’s weak effort.

Cam Lewis is terrible, on par with Jaylon. Those two are huge liabilities. All the opposing team has to do is see where one of those guys are and target them.

Another game like the ATL game where it was way closer than it needed to be. That 7 pts at the end of the half allowed them to kick the FG and go for 2, so that is 10 pts off the board for NE, and the missed FG for Santos. Should've been 33-16.

This is the 3rd game this season where the opponent scored 23+ and the Bears won, that is a good sign for the offense, but as well as the defense played in the first 20 mins of the game, we need a complete game from them. Too many TDs being scored.

if this were preseason and jj was a walkon he wouldn't even make the practice squad. he is total toast. no desire and PUP possibly but that doesn't excuse the unwillingness to tackle. anyone right now is a better choice at CB than him. trade value? if we could get a practice squad TE that would be a windfall.

after first quarter, defense reverted to same ole, same ole. also you can't keep blitzing gordon over and over to no gain. that has been figured out. mixing it up with thieneman was ok. for whatever reason our defense CAN'T stop the quick over the middle throws for 8-12 yards. no defender within 5 full yards for an easy catch just like packers have done to us for decades.

speaking of defense? any bears coach that puts his defense into prevent mode deserves to be slapped. the only thing a prevent defense prevents is a win. also, how can our DL stop the run in the first quarter and look so bad in the rest of the game? personnel or game plan?

still some crap calls in the red zone by our coach. he needs to get his head our of his arse although I have to admit i didn't see any 3rd or 4th and short runs out of the shotgun or going for it on 4th down in our side of the field. so maybe he has learned something.

santo's? he is hot and cold and that doesn't bode well for us. he has been that way since we acquired him. we need to look for someone who can consistently hit from 50+ in this day and age of the NFL's 60+ yd field goals.

anyone see how ozzie looked tonight? didn't concentrate on him. i know he was rotated in and out. seemed like RG jackson is still recovering from his injury. the time off should help a lot. not sure who was supposed to pick up all the blitzer's but not a great job at that or scheming for the quick outs. caleb was holding the ball too long for the amount of blitz's thrown at us. that sack at the end while we were in field goal range almost cost us the game. that was totally on caleb not getting rid of the ball.

again i want to ask, why are we not seeing slants over the middle for a quick release to our big body TE's or big receivers especially when they are blitzing our arse off?

i'll take the win but god, what an ugly game. should have beat them by 20+ yet almost blew it to lose.

EDIT: what kind of play was that goal line handoff to our LG? i have never seen somthing like that in my life. what was the flag about? didn't get any of that.

The only thing I can think of for the slants over the middle is they are concerned about tipped passes because 5-15 yards inside the numbers seemed to have a ton of space and no routes were going there. That also feels like where Raymond had routes and he has rarely been targeted over the last few games.

I would say, the fact that the Bears are 5-2 with one loss in a monsoon and one loss with Bagent starting is a great sign.

It also feels like the Offensive Line is not as sharp as they were last season, for whatever reason. Bradbury vs Dalman maybe? CHI QBs have the most pressures against thru 7 games. Caleb's sack numbers are double what they were last year. You can attribute some of that to his injury, but not all of it.
