Let's hope he doesn't wind up in Minnesota.

With Jones and Mason in MIN, it feels like RB is a bigger need in GB.

I don't think GB has given up on Jacobs. Jones is injured again (needs to hang it up), and Mason is a far cry from a difference-maker.

I know there is no chance in hell it would happen, but could you imagine Taylor lined up behind Caleb?

Taylor would be bonkers in Johnson's offense.

With all the legal stuff going on with Jacobs and the fact that he is actually running worse than the backups they were already playing seems like they may have less patience with the legal stuff. We will see.

Almost every site I visit for Bears info has strong rumors that we are still trying to get K Mack to add to our defense, even after acquiring Simmons. They say it would cost a late-day 3 pick and about $8 million this year.

I agree, and was trying to post this earlier before my job got in my way. There is still a lot of noise about Mack returning to the Bears. I didn’t view him as a worthwhile centerpiece to get our D over the top but adding him to a front anchored by Jeffrey Simmons is different. Reportedly Mack wants out of LA and a shot at a Superbowl…don’t know if that’s true of just media speculation. It would make sense for an elite vet in what might be his last season. I’m surprised to see him, at age 35, still handling starter amount of snaps but maybe I shouldn’t be. If this trade were to happen I don’t know how we fit him in under the salary cap so it seems like we might be sending them a player. I don’t see anyone they’d want but I would absolutely trade Sweat for Mack.

Since I”m already troling around the AI search:

"Khalil Mack played 68% of the Los Angeles Chargers defensive snaps in the 2026 season.  This figure represents his snap participation through the first six games of that season, during which he recorded 11 solo tackles and 3 sacks."

I'm guessing the hold up is the pick. What's 35 year old, non QB, worth? I'd give a 6 next year or a 5th in 28’.

Baltimore lost Lamar for the year, and Huntley is also out. Bagent time with Declan? A 2nd for Bagent?

🙏

I don't like this (Quotes from Bleacher Nation):

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter has details on the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings being among the teams sniffing around a Taylor trade:

“The Giants are interested, the Vikings are interested; Broncos, Packers, any number of teams. (Colts are) looking for a Christian McCaffrey-like package back.”)

I looked up this "McCaffrey-like" package as I couldn't remember the details: (Ask Gemini AI response)

In October 2022, the San Francisco 49ers traded four draft picks to the Carolina Panthers for running back Christian McCaffrey:

  • 2023 Second-Round Draft Pick

  • 2023 Third-Round Draft Pick

  • 2023 Fourth-Round Draft Pick

  • 2024 Fifth-Round Draft Pick

MIN already has Jones and Mason, and RB is really not their problem, QB is. For GB, it makes more sense, but with the Jacobs stuff up in the air, and the fact that they already traded for Kaleb Johnson, a 2nd trade for a RB would be unprecedented.

I pray you are right, because the only team I would want to see him play for in the NFC North is the Bears. ;-)

Which I would think is impossible.
