November 22, 201015 yr comment_85396 http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl-287826 Peace Couldn't agree more with this article. I was watching some SNF pre-game stuff and listened to an exchange between Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison where Dungy sorta took sides with Favre. Mostly because Favre cost so much. Harrison was adamantly against Favre staying in and letting Jackson have a go. This seems to be a consensus (if not practical) way of thinking anymore. As the author of this article and Harrison pointed out, both the tenure of Favre and Childress in Minnesota have outstayed their respective welcomes. My understanding is that the fan base is tiring of this whole mess and although I am happy to see both Minnesota and Favre crumble I would have to say it has become embarrassing. I won't be the least bit surprised if Childress is fired within the next two weeks (replaced probably by Leslie Frazier - boo) and Favre is relegated to "riding the pine". Won't it be beautiful? November 22, 201015 yr comment_85407 Why would Childress sit him? No way Jackson gives them a better chance to win, and why would Childress give a s*** about what they have in QB for 2011 when he won't be back then? Report

Childress can't sit him when he is no longer the coach. Frazier might though. Report

November 22, 201015 yr comment_85429 Collins isn't worth used toilet paper, let a alone a perfectly good shovel and good Prince cassette if it's "Purple Rain"! We can give them Todd Collins for a snow shovel and an old Prince cassette. Report

November 22, 201015 yr comment_85433 Yeah, heck the Purple Rain cassette could probably catch some good loot on eBay as a "collectible!" Is Paisley Park that one where he's sitting nude on a flower on the cover? I recall seeing that in the 90's in a Wherehouse almost hurling when I saw it! Don't think they'd part with Purple Rain...maybe Paisley Park...lol Report

As another pointed out it won't be Childress that will sit him but I would be willing to bet that Frazier will before much longer. Or as Terra pointed out he (Favre) will either quit or feign injury to appear going out with what dignity has left intact. I would love to hear a story like the one out of Tennessee where Favre showed up at the facility and was told to leave. That would be hilarious. I know it won't happen but still.... Report
November 24, 201015 yr comment_85465 LOL how far he's fallen top of the world as a Packer then the I'm retiring, no I'm not, yes I am crap that GB finally got tired of begun his downward spiral. He then goes to NY and a flash in the pan starts out well but fizzles out by the end of the season and during his time in NY he decides to send some inappropriate texts. On to Minny where he has a good season but again fails to come through in the playoffs (a staple of the Vikings). He then decides to come back for one final season, one las try for another ring and the fan is covered in fecal matter. His texting is no longer a secret, his NFL career is crumbling, respect is dwindling if not gone. The once "great" Favre is now an NFL teams liability not it's center piece lol. And this Bears fan is enjoying every minute of it. Report
