Patriots are simply on another level than anyone else in the league. Brady is having a field day against our lousy defense. Trent Dilfer has to be salivating watching this game. Wonder what he's gonna say now.

Dilfer isn't salivating...he's masturbating to the game film replays already. This is porn to Dilfer.

that is the positive thing...the Pack lost AND have to travel to NE next week.

Positive because it means the Bears probably still win the division.

Negative because it will give the Packers a better draft pick than the Bears when it's PAINFULLY clear the Bears aren't as good as their record indicates.

and the patriots are a team that will try and score as many points as they can no matter how far up they are by. They are the definition of poor sportsmanship and running up the score whenever possible.

Its pay back from the Super Bowl where the Bears embarassed the Pats. In this weather, no lead is safe.

The only way draft pick position matters is if Angelo is gone. He will overdraft a defensive guy and neglect the OL until say like the 4th round. If they do select an OL, he will have an extensive injury history.

NOTE:

Prior to the game, Cowher mentioned that this game was not one for a typical 4-3 defense or one using a cover-2. He said it was a game to blitz.

Granted, that's his M.O., but the Bears' defense is doing NOTHING right now because they can't generate pressure. It's something I've said all year, and I think the sack statistics aren't a reliable way to really judge pressure. Either the Bears get in or they get stuffed. And a lot of the sacks are because the opposing QB just sits in the pocket forever waiting for a WR to get into a hole in the cover-2. Against the Pats, the Bears are getting stuffed continuously.

Maybe Lovie should change things up and take action like Cowher suggested. I doubt it.

I had this being one of the games the bears lose in their final 4 but still had them doing some damage in the playoffs. Now I don't think so. Games like these destroy your momentum for the rest of the season. In no way, shape, or form did I see us losing by 40-50+ to New England. I figured we'd atleast make it a game. This is disgusting.

I think another part of the Bears' struggles today comes from the type of team the Pats are. The Pats are really good at the short passing, draw play game, breaking a few tackles and getting a lot of yards after the catch. The Bears have basically been beating good teams by forcing them into the short passing game. The Pats win games in the way that the Bears make other teams lose games.

I hope that each one of the Bears reads ALL the glowing crap that will be written this week about Brady, BB and the Pats. They better be damn mad for that Monday night game next week.

What's crazy is, WHO DIDN'T KNOW THIS!? Prior to the game it was common knowledge that the Pats excelled in short passing and the Bears defense was extremely vulnerable in short passing defense.

What was changed coming into the game? Nothing.

The fact that the Bears from 4 hasn't been able to get pressure at all, the fact that the Bears have dropped 2 easy INT's that immediately let to touchdowns, and the fact that the Bears special teams hasn't shown up. Those are all changes from the normal gameplan.

You clearly don't know what I mean.

1) If the front four is the only pressure being sent, it is NOT a change.

2) The Bears have dropped 1 easy INT (Url), and another that was just out of reach (Harris), but it's nonetheless part of the normal gameplan for the players to be in those positions.

3) The Bears special teams is the same as they always have been, no changes whatsoever (except in results). But why would they change that? It's the only reliable aspect of the team.

As I said, no changes. (Note: I've seen one or two blitzes in the second half)
