Welcome Back GMs! I just wanted to send out a early notice before the seasonal break before things ramp back up in a month. We will schedule the draft for the last week before the regular season kickoff (AUG 31st to SEP 7th). I would like to have Keepers identified and dues submitted a week prior to that (by AUG 24) to give everyone some time to set their draft order knowing who is already taken. So once we set an exact draft date, I will also set the keeper and dues date at that time. These were the keepers from last year, you cannot keep the same player in back-to-back seasons: 2025 TB Keepers The Bunny - Nabers & Hubbard Bum Fights - Pollard My Team Sucks - Thomas …

I just realized the Forum Guidelines are not posted at the top of the page (fixing that now), but these are up at all the sister sites, so just to be clear these are the policies of the site owners, and as moderators and administrators, we have to ensure members are abiding by these simple rules to ensure all members can enjoy the site. Forum Guidelines The administrators and moderators of Talkbears.com have created a new discipline policy for the boards. There are no exemptions to these policies. Comparing QBs closest to Williams in 2024-2025: Herbert 672-1016, 66.1%, 7597 yds, 49 TD, 16 INT, 804 Rush Yards, Years 5-6 (within 114 passing yards, 2 TD) Mahomes 707-1083, 65.3%, 7515 yds, 48 TD, 22 INT, 729 Rush Yards, Years 8-9 (within 32 passing yards, 1 TD) Williams 681-1130, 60.3%, 7483 yds, 47 TD, 13 INT, 877 Rush Yards, Years 1-2 Allen 626-943, 66.4%, 7399 yds, 53 TD, 16 INT, 1110 Rush Yards, Years 7-8 (within 6 TD) The biggest difference is that Williams was a rookie in 2024 with Flus as HC. Considering that, his being already in the mix with this group of QBs is a great sign. Mahomes and Allen are annual MVP Candidates, and Herbert has started to be put in th…

Thought I’d drop a quick thread here to do a quick check in on where everyone is at. Mostly wanted to tell Mad Lith (if he’s out there somewhere) I found some of that Lagvulin at Costco for just over $40. That’s a pretty incredible price! Anyhow, I’m not much on here during the summer as summers in Alaska are something you take full advantage of. I hope all our members, past and current, are doing well! Looking forward to re-engaging with you all (yes even you Mongo, PHX and Stinger lol) once the season begins. I’m not sure how it’ll shake out just yet but it’s always fun to watch … regardless. Meanwhile in the World Cup … go Portugal and Mexico!

First round pick, just 23 years old “Per Birkett, “the charges for Arnold could carry a potential sentence of up to life in prison,” and the state attorney intends to file a pretrial motion arguing that Arnold “remains a danger to the community” and should be kept in jail until trial.” “If Arnold becomes unavailable for the Lions’ 2026 campaign, cornerback becomes a major position of concern for the team. In his absence last year, the team relied on veteran Rock Ya-Sin to step up alongside D.J. Reed and Amik Robertson. The team added nickelback Roger McCreary in free agency and Keith Abney II in the fifth-round of the draft, but with Washington taking Robertson in free…

Heard today Zah Fraizer was let go. Apparently whatever jacked him up last year never materialized into a dedication to playing in the NFL. Also they restructured Brabbury's contract getting 1 mil in reduction but gave him 1 more mil in guaranteed money.

Looking back at last years defense, I saw some really good pieces and progress. The opposite was also observed. As it was pre-described, the offense came on, slowly, as predicted. The defense didn't get that same grace. DA is known to run a scheme that is trait specific, while BJ's scheme is talent specific. In that grace, we made two intentional signings in Dayo and Grady. They being one half of the starting DL, rarely played together due to injury. Whether training did that is irrelevant, due to case hardening. Case Harding is a manufacturing term used for toughening, due to job specific repetition. We got that last year from 80% of our defense struggling through unity …

More insight into the draft process. This time they made it clear we got our top two targets. Plus they clearly wanted Zavion because you hear Poles say we can wait a little bit on Thomas but not too long. Dennis Allen at the end thanking Poles for moving up to draft Van den Berg ?

The Bears have brought FA DE-AJ Epenesa in for a workout late last week. Another talent to rotate with Sweat, Booker, Dayo, and Turner will help.

A bit early, but what else can we do to kill time waiting for camp to open? There was an article on NFL.com predicting the outcome of every regular-season game to be played in 2026. The authors of the predictions were two guys I'm unfamiliar with, Ali Bhanpuri & Tom Blair. These guys were generous with their predictions for the Bears. One had us at 10 wins; the other at 11. Both had us winning the NFC North title again. One had us going into the playoffs as the #2 seed; the other as the #3 seed. What really surprised me was how optimistic they were compared to so many other doom-and-gloom predictors. Yet they both had the Bears losing to Carolina in our season opener.…

For so many years, many of us have pointed out examples of the NFL's bias against the Bears. From refs calling penalties against the Bears that were bogus. To the penalties committed by the opposition that the refs never called. And then they rob us of two 3rd round compensatory picks from the Ian Cunningham signing with Atlanta. There is an article on SI com that gives some interesting data to back up our claims: Link to article: Stunning NFL Penalty Data Suggests There is Bias Against the Bears It starts off wth this paragraph and then continues to break down the statistics. "The Chicago Bears have a league-worst -795 net penalty yardage gap since 2022. From missed Cal…
