  3. The opening line was +2.5, that has already shifted to -1.5.
  4. This game should've been a blowout of biblical proportions. The Bears had more first downs than the Jets had plays. The TOP difference was crazy, 42 to 17. The Jets converted 0 3rd Downs. The Bears lost the turnover battle 2-0 and still won by double digits. The Bears also did not punt. In reference to Keenum vs Bagent. Keenum's game was the quick short game. Bagent's game plan was closer to what we see with Caleb's. My biggest concern about Bagent is he is heavily weighted to the right side of the field. That makes it much easier to defend and reminds me a lot of Trubisky. Check out his chart, only 4 pass attempts to the left of the hashes beyond the LOS.
  5. Today

  6. Still too early to assess any real impact. Dexter was never a good fit for Allen's defense. He was always better suited as a 3-4 DE than a 4-3 DT.
  7. Just a reminder of the names you didn't hear about during this game. If you watch the film I linked above you'll see how Darnell Wright made Bailey invisible in this game. https://www.nfl.com/news/david-bailey-jets-no-2-overall-pick-2026-nfl-draft
  8. Film reviews....people are cranking this stuff out fast. Not that anyone here is asking about it but the bottom line: We hired the right HC from the Lions staff.
  9. This was the biggest concern for me. He threw 4 (?) picks (one actual that wasn’t nullified by penalties). Maybe Bagent edges Keenum by a little on arm strength but experience wise it’s Case hands down. That’s who I’d prefer for GB.
  10. Exactly. That was about the only time he did anything and even then it was…nothing.
  11. ...and nobody misses this guy.
  12. Someone would have to show me some data that there are more non-contact injuries. No way the Bears should be the underdog in this game.
  13. Bagent was the better QB choice today. However I feel like he was on a leash. I expected more roll outs and even some read-option runs. How about a QB sneak at the goal line? Were they protecting him after the concussion? His arm strength opened things up more outside the numbers but he clearly does not throw with the anticipation we saw from Keenum. There's a decade of experience gap between them and just one way to close it. Hopefully getting a game of film to watch helps Bagent this week. Swift didn't have his burst this week so I think the injury issue is real. That's no excuse for the fumble. In hindsight I'm glad they pulled him from the game because that rest might help him play against the Packers because we don't know the status of Monangai. The deep pass we gave up (Stevenson) late in the game: Single high safety coverage there so it seems to me Thieneman should have been helping deep instead of pressing down on an intermediate in cut. While we can highlight the negatives on the defense this unit is very cohesive overall. No stars, a few big plays here and there but for the most part nothing was easy for the Jets. Detroit did not play nearly as well against the Jets offense last week. This is now 3 data points in a row so that makes a trend and I'm giving them their due.
  14. With each passing week you can feel CB being our first round pick. That said we should take best available defensive player minus safety.
  15. Yeah saw him pull up and not hit a player, he just let all his teammates make the tackle while he stood there and watched. Pure business decision and it will make Poles business decision this offseason even easier. He's done.
  16. I was watching the DEN/SF game this afternoon, and Patrick Surtain II suffered a non-contact ankle injury. I agree; it seems like there are far more of these incidents.
  17. Yesterday

  18. Bears caught a break most of Bagent's picked were nullified by penalty. He was terrible out there. Jets came in not having had an interception in over a year and Bagent nearly gave them 3. He also took a bad sack and fumbled the ball to the ground, but it bounced right back up to him. Almost another disastrous play. He had a few nice throws on 3rd down to move the chains, but overall, it was not a good day for him. The Jets are a bad football team. It's clear now that this defense is starting to legitimize themselves as a good unit. Dennis Allen deserves some praise for the job he's done after week 1. I still don't like the DL sticking to blocks and getting pushed around in the run game, but they are battling, and the secondary has been getting better, too, minus Stevenson. We are going to need them to dominate GB next week to come out with a W. Put these pieces of shit out of their misery.
  19. and it feels like it is happening a lot more frequently
  20. GB lost LB Edgerrin Cooper to a achilles. Scary watching these athletes just drop non-contact.
  21. Case Keenum took the first snap and is officially credited the QB win. Ben started him because according to the media, Bagent was starting and Ben said he never said who was starting. You can see Ben does not like the media clowns making up stories. Love seeing him call them out.
  22. Bears come in as underdogs. Kind of crazy considering the Packers have yet to score more than 22 pts. 22 in Week 1, 20, 14, and 17 this week against the lowly Bucs. Just comparing how the Bears and Packers have looked against common opponents, the Bears should win. Health is going to be the biggest issue. Caleb, and now looks like Monangi (thumb), Swift (knee) will have to be monitored. Early on, I am taking the Bears in a close one.
  23. The total yards was crazy, Jets had like 157 total. Poles has been destroyed by pundits for not taking DLine, or signing back up quality guys, but so far the D has done great. Maybe listen to some Rolling Stones. You cant always get what you want....But if you try sometimes, well, you might find. You get what you need
  24. This has been one of the craziest games. The offense had almost 500 yards on offense but only scored 23 pts. The defense was borderline dominant except for the Stevenson toast play. Outside of that Geno had only 61 passing yards lol.
  25. The last 2 interceptions were nothing on Bagent. He slung it on a free play, so no risk. On the other the receiver was mugged. I think Swift holds on to the ball going forward, after being kept out of the game. Stephenson made a mistake which cost a touchdown. Don't think it warrants need to get rid of him. Great win today, it's been a nice short week 😀
  26. We sure as hell can't have this type of QB mistake against GB.
  27. Bagent could have easily had 4 interceptions today. He was luckier than good.
