The difference is the Bears have a younger core on offense. Coby Bryant hasn't even played a snap yet, the defense will get another boost with him.

INCREDIBLY STUPID. there is no possible way any 29 year old DT is worth anywhere close to what we paid. 2 firsts relates to a good/great starting QB in his prime or a DE future hall of fame player in his prime. this screws us in so many ways in our future it's mindboggling. ryan poles has done NOTHING but hurt this franchise. he can't draft. look at the busts or average players we have picked in the 1st-3rd round. his free agent acquisitions on defense are dismal at the VERY best. we are paying for injured average players. on offense he has brought in three good offensive linemen and one that wanted to retire and did after one season. one is at or past retirement age also in thuney. and now this... ryan poles needs to be FIRED. this is no knee jerk statement, this guy is killing this franchise.

We absolutely overpaid but this makes the team better. Poles is all in on this team and it should benefit us for multiple years.

One of the greatest plays in Bears history. They really need to have that in any documentaries about this team and how it started. The Bears might have one of the best media/PR teams, love the media the make like 1920 Football Drive, or Mic'd up.

If they didn't fire Eberflus, this never happens. Ben Johnson was the right person to bring Caleb along and hopefully the Bears to a championship. They both have a ways to go, we see them opportunities lost by small mistakes. They will get there

He’s a stud. Grady is a good player, used to be very good, but he’s always been more hustle than physical talent. the only reason Simmons isn’t more of a household name is because of the team he’s on. He is the kind of centerpiece you build a defense around.

Fair enough . It appears now I’m slurring my typing…or just fat fingered on this dang phone. I’ll go with the latter. Isn’t Simmons a higher priced talent similar to Crosby? Interestingly enough I looked to compare them and didn’t realize they were from the same draft class but also this year Simmons leads on sacks 4/2 and total tackles 34/14. Impressive for an interior vs edge guy.

I'm thinking you are referring to Jarrett? If so, I'll answer accordingly. Simmons is a top shelf talent. He's taller, heavier, stronger, quicker, younger and more productive than Jarrett. He requires a double team on the inside. Jarrett never truly has. Watch some tape on Simmons. He's an absolute monster.

Because I’m less schooled on interior DLmen, how is Simmons a huge upgrade over Garrett? Age and length? Garrett was sold to us as a solution to the interior a couple of seasons ago but not so much anymore. And I’m aware a similar argument could be made for Mack vs Sweat.

Zavior Scott RB/ST has earned a spot on the 53 man with contract. Nick McCloud DB was released to make room. I have not seen if they signed anyone else to the practice squad or will see if McCloud takes his spot tomorrow

He requested the 49ers, nothing the Bears could do there. The Bears need to get Mack now. The DLine needs that energy. Mack with Sweat, with Booker rotating in is a pretty solid trio.
