  2. Something to remember is that when Warren was with Minnesota there was talk of the Vikings leaving Minneapolis (possibly for LA of all places) when they were working to secure their new stadium in early 2012. Evidently the approval vote for the city to help in the cost and stay in Minneapolis occurred on the 11th hour. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/vikings-clear-final-hurdle-to-get-new-stadium/#:~:text=The House passed it overnight, the best for this state." I also saw a recent social media post that said McCaskey was getting a bit irritated with the process taking longer than it should be for this to be finalized. And that Warren was mentioned as reason for his ire. Although some of the corroborating stories appear to originate from back in December.
  3. 😭😭😭. So they are screwing Illinois by leaving and screwing Indiana by arriving. Ol George must be running around like a two petered puppy. Get this through your thick skull; Indiana is using it as an investment. That's what well run states do. You call us a crap state, but Illinois is shrinking and we are growing. Hell, half of your state tried to secede to Indiana last election. Maybe you should use your diatribes to affect change with the morons that run Chicago and your state. It's not the McCaskeys this time. I can't wait for them to build in Indiana. Chicago is a great and beautiful city, but is a huge money trap. You can't even park at a hotel for less than $100. If we want to see the Cubs, we go to Cincinnati. We can get lower level seats, hotel, parking and dinner for less than a Cubs ticket.
  4. Dang, that's harsh. The Colts will always be my second team. Thanks for your valuable input.
  5. 1. so what? you believe closer justifies any franchise team leaving their home venue because some neighboring crap state will throw their taxpayers under the bus and bribe the franchise into screwing the taxpayers in the original state or leave? fine, then let them leave the franchise name where they came from just like baltimore did with the browns. chicago keeps the name chicago bears for the next franchise expansion and indiana can have the hammond hemroids or the hammond hamsters for all i care. they deserve the mccaskey family. 2. how are the jets and giants any different? just because they have been doing it longer? they screwed the state that conceived them and supported them so the mega rich owners can get richer. these aren't some mom and pop businesses but multi BILLION dollar corporations owned by millionaire/billionaires who want to squeeze the average taxpayers into paying for their business expenses, build them new stadiums and rework the city/state infrastructure at tax payer expense to accommodate them. why should they get tax breaks you or i wouldn't get? cause they are richer? corporate welfare seems alive and well.
  6. follow the colts then. while you're at it, do the world a favor and never leave the state of indiana.
  7. I heard Greg Gabriel say that George has already called the NFL administration about this matter. Not sure where he got that but he's worked in those offices before. He must have some connections.
  8. I seen this many times but this is the first I noticed Grady Jarrett saying " oh my God,oh my God, what the fu** was that". https://www.facebook.com/share/r/183DjgFhR9/
  9. Biggs mentioned today combine would be where the Bears would maybe ask about the picks. Biggs is super connected and he didn’t want to get Bears fans hopes up but figured fact he said it meant he heard they were at least going to try. Would be big to get those picks.
  10. I dont think the Bears can lose him this year. They would need to use cap to replace him. If the Bears were bottom dwellers, take the deal. But we are in the grasp to compete for it all and already over the cap. I would only do it for a decent 2nd and gamble Caleb stays healthy.

    Rumors

My interpretation of what the Bears M.O. is that they will do what's best for Bears/Bagent on close to equal terms. I'm guessing a third and fifth rounder or favorable player swap would occur. It would be around the value of the Matt Hassleback trade.
  12. I hate the thought, unless a decent 2nd is offered and if Arz, it would be. They need someone to step in if needed with little or no drop off. I expect Bagent has grown under BJ like Caleb did.
  13. What I find hilarious is the anti Indiana snobbery from the Illinais. The same thing happened my freshman year at IU. Chicagoans talked so much shit. My simple question was, "why are you here then"? Crickets chirped. The fan base is what it is and once they stop crying, they'll be back...
  14. My hope is McDonald and another DT, a DE, S and LT. Who we add in FAgency will alter where we pick those players. There is usually LBers and Ss that can be found in FAgency. Edwards, Byard came here that way. Draft DL and OL.

    Rumors

The only reason you would trade Bagent is because of the value you would get back, plus he will be gone at the of 27 anyway. I'm more in on bringing back nearly everyone and add a a few assets but I'm just doing stupid trade talk like so many pundits are.

    Rumors

My dream trade is Jeffery Simmons. I would drive DJ to Tennessee if we got that trade. Tennessee has tons of Cap space but it basically would just be an even Cap hit. Why does anything think that kind of trade deal would it take? DJ, Dexter, a first this year and 3rd next year? Dexter had 6 sacks last year and they definitely need a upgrade for a young QB.
  17. Spot on with everything you said . I still think they end up Arlington heights but totally expect the politicians to screw this up. When I find interesting is the Hammond stadium would be 15 miles from Soldier field, AH is actually farther away. No matter where they end up , they will keep the bear's name. Santa Barbara 49ers - no New Jersey Giants - no New Jersey Jets - no I understand the nostalgia of bears being in Chicago but these are different times we live in. When the 49ers moved they only lost 1% of the fan base.
  18. That all sounds good. Rome and Burden still have some growing to do. In this offense, Loveland could be the best TE in the league.
  19. Yesterday
  20. Seen that Rome and Colston are going to workout with TJ Houshmandzadeh this offseason. TJ thinks Colston can be the best TE in football. He was asked if Luther was going too, but he said no he dont know Luther. Rome needs some help, he needs to get those hands to wake up.
  21. Tell us how you feel...🤦🏽 For starters, the Bears greatest desire is to stay in the city of Chicago. But, when the city is billions in debt, including 500 million behind on their payments to Soldier Field, there's a problem. On to Arlington Heights. The first thing they did, after the Bears bought the property, was try to shake the organization down for taxes on a demolition site, because they couldn't fund their school system without it. They attended to tax it as a viable business site. Welcome to the Heights, now bend over. Onto the State Capital. They told the Bears they wouldn't entertain anything until next year. (Isn't this year three of the Arlington purchase?). They didn't actually get caught with their pants down. This was pure negligence by the parties that be, as they new the family wanted to break ground last year. So, where do we blame the McCaskeys? I don't see it. The family is still hoping for Illinois to figure it out. Business minded Indiana sure understands what having the Bears would mean. It took our governor no time in getting a proper bill passed to the benefit the Bears and our state. Screw Illinois. They don't deserve the Bears.
  22. I hope the Bear stay in Illinois. I expect they will land in Arlington Heights after all of this. But if they move to Hammond, the new stadium will be significantly closer to Soldier Field than the Arlington Heights location is. I dont see this at all like the Browns, more like how the Giants and Jets play in New Jersey. But most of all, the threat of Indiana must be real in order to GET to Arlington Heights.
  23. if i'm chicago and the state of illinois and they do this.... i say F'EM do what the cleveland browns did. go where you want to scumbag vampires but you ain't taking the names with you. if illinois can't take the name 'BEARS' away from them then surely take the 'CHICAGO'. give them NOTHING!! so welcome TRIPLE H to the nfl. Halas's Hammond Hemroids eat SHIT you bloodsucking greedy bastard mccaskey family. you have given NOTHING to this franchise or CHICAGO since mugs halas died.

    Rumors

The trade market rumors are heating up. Of course we still have the Maxx Crosby rumors. Now it appears the Giants are willing to trade away Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Neither of these guys have the price tag of Crosby. Among them Dexter Lawrence is the one I’d be most interested in although neither had a particularly good year. Lawrence is still just 29 years old and can be dominant inside both on run D and pass rush. Scanning the news it appears he had an elbow injury that hampered his offseason workouts and that issue carried into the first part of the 2025 season. He’s expensive…cap hits of $27 and $29mil the next two years. We could figure that out and a trade might involve moving DJ Moore, or Kmet - not necessarily to the Giants since they too need cap space.
  25. I agree with both of you that an impact DT is critical, and one is more likely to be found at pick #25 than an impact edge player probably will be. And of course all of this subject to change depending on who we bring in in free agency. Although we could definitely sign a FA DT and draft one in the first round too.
  26. So me and you are agreeing we need a DT or two that can provide stout run defense and collapse the pocket. I love seeing the DT sack the QB, violence.
