  2. Trapillo is also signed https://bearswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2025/07/17/bears-sign-ozzy-trapilo-rookie-contract/85251987007/
  3. Great news! Looks like Poles did some of that creative negotiating I was wishing for yesterday. Can't wait to see the terms.
  4. Today
  5. Turner and Trapilo have been around the whole time. Burden has had soft tissue injuries to deal with but has to be here to be part of the offense. Yes he may be the outlier.
  6. Glad Turner is in and can get started developing. This guy will be key fixture in the future. I expect Trapilo to be next and soon. Burden might be the clog, you know he will want the 100% and the Bears are going to want some protections based off of his perceptions.
  7. The first of the second rounders, that will all be signed by time players hit the field.
  8. Sign of changes have shown up in this last year. We fired a coach in mid season,. never happened before. We paid a big contract to the best canidate available for 2025, I cant remember us every doing that. For some reason our coaches and GMs have always been on different timelines. Not healthy. They just resigned the GM to align with BJ. Having a GM-HC and top QB prospect aligned in the sametime is a great look for a bright future. I think we are looking at (A Perfect Storm) scenario. It is not a perfect roster, I think the coaches are the best we have ever had run our team. I THINK ITS HAPPENING THIS YEAR , A Winning record, playoff run, and lots of great offensive stats that breaks Bears records. Sit back and enjoy it, we deserve this.
  9. Im 50/50 on this. It will make teams be a little more cautious which is good, but it gives players who dont give a sh!t protection. The Bears better win quick bc once they go on stream only, im done. I believe that is 2027. Im rural and not paying for satellite internet to stream and paying subscriptions.
  10. OK, first one to sign since the roadblock happened today. DT Alfred Collins, who was taken 43rd (2nd round pick #10) signed a four year $10.3M deal with $9M of it guaranteed. I think the players are going to mostly win this one. 9/10.3 is 87% guaranteed. And its not THAT much cap money. Bears shouldnt get cute here. let 2 or 3 more sign, get a sense of whats going on and then match it. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/49ers-break-the-seal-on-second-round-signees-as-alfred-collins-contract-may-pave-way-for-others-to-sign/
  11. This could affect the Minny game that is our first. Addison is in court right now on a DUI charge. IT is his second which is suppose to carry a 3 game suspendtion, if found guilty. Would be a big blow for JJ. Also this gives information that Darrisaw (LT) is not ready to play yet same situation as Braxton. Could be key to winning the first game.
  12. The first two picks of the second round got guaranteed contracts like first rounders. Now, the next guys up want the same. It starts with Seahawks. After that, the Browns with Judkins and we know he has issues. If the dam breaks at the top, the rest will follow either way. I would love to see the Bears be trend setters and get our guys signed to guaranteed incentive based deals before the rest. A creative GM could orchestrate this, especially with having three of the thirty two picks...
  13. Nope and they won't risk injury. I bet the owners are banning together too. Otherwise teams below Seattle might say screw it and pay the guy.
  14. Yesterday
  15. Can they play if they arent signedz? Otherwise, it may be signing the minute camp starts. Poles isnt going to wrech what he built to blew up over a long holdout. Read somewhere all the agents on 2nd round picks that are banning together to force guarrantteed money. Probably BS. I doubt only a couple days at most.
  16. okay thanks, didnt remember the rules.
  17. i with you. of the 30 unsigned 3rd rounders, 3 of them are ours, or 10%. What a massive pain in the ass.
  18. I'm growing weary of the second rounders holding out. I'm fully blaming the Seahawks for holding this process up. We have the most to lose in this situation. Our potential starting LT is being held up. Then, we hear about Luther Burden needing motivation to stay in shape. Lastly, our most explosive DT, when our greatest need is pass rush. Rant over. It's just sucks because these dudes are expected to get major minutes...
  19. If he is removed before TC, he can be active game 1. If not removed, he is out the first 4 games.
  20. That and how many hires (gm/coaching) have they fired early by going the cheap route. Eventually they have to realize they are losing more than money

    Lots of

In low information times everyone is doing stories on favorite of all time, most popular, Bears. Many answers to those but since 2000 who was the most fun to watch. D or O ? I am torn between Devin Hester and Brian Urlacker. You can click on Youtube and they will play for you. Anyone know how to share without getting blacked out?
  22. I think they were finally tired of the losing and she wanted to go out by having the family let go of the control and get smart people here.
  23. Football starting https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AufNaBuKU/
  24. He probably won't even see the field until after the first 6 weeks pup list is over. So much for thinking he might be an asset even as a back up
  25. Braxton is expected to be on the PUP list to start the season. Glad the Bears decided not to bank on him being healthy and drafted a LT high.
  26. Unless I’m mistaken - I think the Bears made those moves when Virginia was alive. I thought she passed after the Ben Johnson hire. So maybe with her nearing the end they felt like they had to swing big!
