Not sure how many of you are familiar with a website called "Heavy." I love that the articles are always solid, more often backed up by statistics than unfounded opinions. Today, there was another feel-good article that had any Bears fanatic dreaming of the coming season. How The Bears’ Offense Is Set Up To Take An Exponential Jump In 2026 Good Site for Bears' News: Heavy on Bears

The quarterback coach said the challenge is to get Caleb out of the big play mentality and do the simple throws. A lot of times last year he passed up an open player to try to go downfield. I think the working relationship between BJ and Caleb will end up with good results.
  5. I noticed that after the details came out and never corrected it. I dont think they are done with the investigation just yet. Publicly Available Context on the Incident Dispatch/911 audio (released or leaked): Neighbors reported yelling, screaming, and “things being thrown.” One call came from inside the home (open line, possibly male/female), and a neighbor reported the resident was assaulted. An ambulance was mentioned. Police arrived but Jacobs was not initially present. waow.com

If he could make the easy throws, just imagine what his completion % would be? More important than his Comp. %, we might actually be able to sustain drives, score in the first three quarters, give our defense a chance to get a breather, and avoid the need for Caleb to revert to the Ice Man (although it is fun to see frost on his beard).

Yes. Now show me the simple quick reads for 10 yard gains.
  8. Also great to see JJ participated in full and Kyler was there as well (albeit limited).

I don't recall seeing this here, and too lazy to review, but it just adds to the adrenaline running through Bear fans' veins when you see something like this. I'm referring to the on-the-dime completion to Rome during Thursday's OTA @ Halas Hall, which Case Keenum says went 67 yards in the air. Not bad since Caleb was scrambling and actually threw off his back foot. ;-)

Released from jail. I don’t know if he’s guilty or innocent but the cheeseheads look really stupid arresting him on 5 charges then backing off a day later saying we don’t really have all the facts to support those charges. So many ways to look at this. As far as I’m concerned go ahead and drag that investigation out all summer.

Or possibly June 1st surprise cuts?

This popped up on my YouTube again and reminded me, we didnt just get a high end prospect but a pro bowl type of player, that everyone in the building liked.

Spot on, if they are looking they probably will sign someone before training camp. Doesnt seem to be a run on the older choices out there because they will wait for training camp to be available.
  19. I dont know if every fanbase is like this but because the Bears are on the verge of being relevant in the NFL and tons of Bears content have risen. So much made up BS that some people see as real. PHX put it best, because it might be possible, people project it. I try to stay focus on what the Bear's brass puts out there and a few pundits that seem to be right a lot. Briggs is pretty consistent and Schefter seems to have league ties. Rapport is right a lot. Im on X a lot and when I see something, I use to jump on it like it was real to be first to report it on here. That was a bad idea, I know have to see several reports and from reliable sources before I post and then it is still wrong sometimes.
  20. yeah I saw that. what the hell. people are so weird.
  21. Oh I wouldnt put it past them. LOL But it IS easy to see why people might speculate about that, myself included lol
  22. Some of the trades thrown out in the media right now are complete BS. Some idiot threw out a proposal for us to trade Bagent for Anthony Richardson. Because he said that helps the Colts get a better backup QB. Yes and we get a worse backup for more money.
  23. I am only kidding, but often do see them write something brought up here a couple days before. I just mentioned trading Carolina Kmet 2 days ago. And today on 670 the score, its being discussed.
  24. It's just pattern recognition, I think. No one has actual inside info about this of course, but it's easy to see Roush is a great prospect and can catch the ball, to see that Kmet is being paid as a TE1, and he isnt our TE1, and to see how Loveland is doing, and it's hard then not to come to the conclusion that Kmet could be trade bait. Doesnt mean it has to happen, doesnt mean anything, certainly doesnt mean there are any leaks from Halas Hall, it's just the the facts fit a pattern that leans that way. Everyone has thought it at some point I think?
  25. I see the beat writers are bored again visiting our site. They are now talking about Kmet to Carolina for a 3rd, 2027 5th.

  27. right, the more we wait, the lower the prices drop. GIven that there are at least 3 good free agent options at edge, waiting the market out makes sense. Especially when it's older players that may not wish to attend the entire camp. Gives you some time to see what you have with Booker and Turner first. Also, its possible that we will sign a LT or a DE but not both, so they might wait to see which is needed more once they see what Wills brings for example. I still think theres a decent chance we will sign Tyler Decker. Maybe its between him and Cam Jordan/Von Milller and time will tell.
  28. AZ54 replied to ASHKUM BEAR's topic in Bearstalk
Josh Sweat sucks and gets paid a lot of money for it. Epenesa would be the kind of depth signing I’m expecting except maybe we can get someone a little better. Prices are dropping with several viable options on the market. The meeting with Epenesa gives other agents an idea what the Bears are willing to spend. Plus adds a bit of credibility that they are looking to add a player at DE.
  29. For the Packers to release him, probably isnt going to go well for Josh. I have been viewing a lot of Packer content this offseason and cant wait to see what they have to sa about this. Next Im sure someone on X is going to say , Jacobs has been linked to the Bears.
