  1. Past hour
  2. You're a funny little man. At least I know when and where I'm not wanted. We can talk IQ on your Mensa podcast. You should have just followed your own words and stayed gone. I'll wait for your last word, because you are one that really needs to have it. You've went way too far with the liable for this old Italian.
  3. We will see what he looks like this weekend against LAC. He is a completely different QB without his mobility.
  4. what a wonderful example of not fighting! theres goes the neighborhood! You want this to be my fault, but it isnt - Im just not gonna take crap from idiots. No one here would. Sorry I hurt your feelings before saying Braxton isnt good. You were so sure I didnt know the position, but youre the god of OL play. Hows he looking now? Morons who cant stand being wrong. What a great look.
  5. Midol might help you. Little pronoun...
  6. doubt thats helping. you already said youre in screw me mode, so people can take it for what its worth. Go have another drink, maybe it will make you feel better.
  7. There goes the neighborhood...🤦🏽
  8. Today
  9. Im just saying when I say it, youre all over me, when one of your sportswriters says it, then its reasonable. And yet, every time, ive been right, just early. And no, to the other members of the board, I do not think Im smarter than you. This is just a constant insecure lie that comes from one person. I guess your experience on construction crews tells you everything you need to know. The funny thing is, until you started getting nuts about me saying Justin Fields sucked (which he DOES LOL) I didnt have problems on this board, posting my ideas, for 20 years. And no one else in my life thinks this about me. Usually they describe me in completely opposite terms. Ive raised a wonderful daughter, have lots of good friends, and was popular on my worksites too - in my case in recording studios working at the top of the music biz. Lots of stars, youve heard me on TV, in movies etc many times - but no one ever called me arrogant or anything like that. Just you couldnt stand to hear me say the truth about Bears players. You never want to trade anyone, everyone always needs a second chance. And Im the devil for telling the truth. For a while there you were SO out of control that i everntually had to heat it up to the point where other people told us both to stop, and since then you havent spokent the same way to me. Mean, judgemental, sure, but not like before, so mission accomplished. But you hate me. Its obvious. And what you say about me is insulting and not true. I find it hard to listen to it without saying something back. But youre not very smart, and youre overly emotional, and your abuse does not make you right. Ill come back in a week and say whatever the hell I want to about the Bears, but you'll have to play with someone else, because youre ridiculous, and I dont want to deal with you.
  10. Chicago Bears Linked To Landing Jeffery Simmons In Latest Insider Report. I see stuff like this all the time. We paid Grady Jarrett money to come here, now some Bears pundit suggests we go trade for whoever they think would be a good addition. He is owned 72 mil over the next 3 yrs. He would be great to have, but I dont think the Bears will do this. I get we need help but it is going to have to come from within. If it doesnt make us a winning team this year then condemn Poles. When you trade for someone , you have to give up something and a 3 time pro bowler couldnt get bought for a 6 th round pick. Next year they will have 84 mil in cap space so paying Simmons is not an issue at all.
  11. I just posted a video and this is your response. ( you were all over me.) I never changed my mind on anything but you wanting to argue not knowing any context. (I didnt claim to invent this,) what are you talking about,? We just both gave our opinion. You are insinuating you are right. There is no right or wrong on an opinion unless the Bears actually traded him, and then one of us is wrong and one of us is right on a prediction of a future transaction. Im not wrong about your attitude. You just exposed yourself again. I worked 50 years on construction sites (many ego trippers) and have never met anyone like you before. I just showed a video and asked for opinions, never said I would or wouldnt and you turn it into an argument. I love the comment ( I'm only going to say this once). You have never did that the whole time you have been on here. You cant go a week back on here without creating conflict.
  12. Just gonna say it once. I dont think Im so smart. 1) I usually say WHY I think something, so Im not just saying "Im smart" but instead Im saying "heres why I think it" 2) I didnt claim to invent this - lots of teams do it. So again, Im not so smart, just been watching football a while. 3) Its you telling me how wrong I am for months that makes me want to say I was right, not to show off that Im smart, but that all the abuse you sent to me and you were wrong in the end. Honestly, Im always surprised that you think the normal things Im saying are so controversial. Thats why I come back and say I was right, because of all the abuse i take, mostly from you, about how wrong I am. So isnt that you saying YOURE so smart when you tell me Im wrong so much?
  13. Agree with everything you said Adam. Daniels will be back but his injuries is going to tone his run game down. A sprained knee tells me something is weak in the joint. A sprained knee occurs when the ligaments that support the knee joint are stretched or torn. Being we have a bad run defense, just keeping a running game under 130 would be a step in the right direction. The Ravens have 6 starters injured and are terrible. People use the injuries as a reason. On a less talented defense the Bears have 4 starters out which 3 are suppose to come back. I think it will help a lot. Theo may not be good yet but he will get better as the OL jells together. Caleb getting the ball out quick makes up for a lot of shortcomings on the OL. Hopefully Wright is back. I think in the running game , Monangai will see more carries. If the OL steps up, I think we will see more pop out of him. Use Swift in outside zone runs and there again hope the OL has an awakening with their play.
  14. I dont think the Bears are going to do it but after 4 games I wanted to see if anyone's opinion has changed. I would not do it either. Your whole perspective is about you being right and you telling us how smart you are. See how arguments get started. You could have asked if my opinion has changed and then jumped down my throat but in typical form the same old yak yak.
  15. I did not know Moore, OZ, and Swift grew up near each other and played football together before college. Moore and Swift are really close.
  16. Yesterday
  17. When I said this a couple months ago, you were all over me. Can we figure out yet that I'm just early on these things? And maybe next time i suggest something only give half the hate? Trading good players when you have their replacements already int he pipeline is just logical - good teams do it all the time. Its not like i invented it.
  18. What do you think about this proposal ?
  19. Yeah, I forgot about that. He is trending for the low 30s. I will have to look but I think cutting sacks in half with a comparable amount of attempts has to be unprecedented. Guys like David Carr took sacks every year.
  20. I think draft picks are better judged over their first three years. Stroud was great his first year and is following the Lawrence path of not getting better. Daniels looked much better last year than this year. WR Thomas Jr has did nothing this year after a great rookie season. Same with McConkey. Different situations affect how players do, OL health, different coaches. Caleb is better this year than his first. I think after 3 yrs, players will show who they really are.
  21. I think that Swift being mildly successful in Philly had a lot to do with the best OL in the NFL that year. He was only signed for one year and surveying the free agents choose Barkley over Swift was a no brainer. Swift is not a pounder but a third down type of back. His 4.48 speed is fast enough if the OL allows him to get past the line of scrimmage. His salary suggests he should be . I think Poles had the vision of a two back system when he signed Swift with maybe BJ being the horse. Due to injuries Johnson has never got to his ceiling. All of his concussions may have taken the fight out of him. In the last draft a few of the highly touted RBs have yet to set the league on fire. Jeanty didnt have a good game until he played our porous run defense. Henderson has yet to make a good impression. Judkins came in the league succeeding and Browns OL is listed top 5. I think the common trait of successful RBs are a good OL and lots of touches . Philly, Atlanta, Detroit all have good lines and successful RBs. I think the OL will play better as they jell going forward. Wright was getting crap from BJ because he probably wasnt in shape when he started the season. Jones was coming off from a surgery but has never gained the needed strength to handle his job properly. I think Theo will end up being a better overall LT with the future LT, Ozzy, just not ready yet.
  22. Last week
  23. I think it depends on what youre asking him to do. Ben Johnson certainly know the run game, and if he says Bieniemy is the right guy, then I am inclined to follow his leadership? I suspect that BJ is running a different scheme than the Eagles did, one that maybe Swift doesn't fit that well in, or maybe better said, the Eagles style might have fit him better, although they cut him loose too? I guess Im just saying that it's not as easy as saying that the only variable that changed is BJ, and that he should be doing something different? For example Montgomery has had more success under BJ than he did in Chicago. EDIT: Ive also read some rumors that BJ is going to switch the run game to an outside zone scheme during the bye. The rumor says this has more to do with the skill set of the OL, than helping Swift. i dunno if swift is fast enough to routinely get the outside corner, but i guess we will find out!
  24. Was going to comment on Bienemy and whether he’s the right guy for even coaching RBs. Really though the scheme has to work for all the individual parts also succeed. It appears they’re figuring out the passing game, so maybe the running game is next? Generally speaking, Swift hasn’t been as good when he plays under Johnson than when he doesn’t. If he can get 1,000 yards for the Eagles and almost another 1,000 under Flus is he really the problem?
  25. I remember when we were talking what we thought great improvement would be and it was 40. It's awesome to see he's on pace to blow that out of the water.
  26. Pretty cool chart for Caleb/Ben. With all the penalties and non-existent run game, this becomes even a bigger example of how good he has been when it is needed.
  27. WAS gives up the 9th most passing yards and are the 5th worst in EPA/Pass against. WAS has faced Wilson, Love, Smith, and Penix, and the last 3 threw for over 289 yards and combined for 7 TD and 1 INT in the last 3 games. Geno passed for 289 yards and 3 TDs against WAS and only 117 and 2 TDs against the Bears. So this is a favorable matchup.
  28. I had forgotten about Ekeler. I did find this note in an article on NFL.com stating their opinion on each team's need leading up to the trade deadline. If correct, it could be a big game for Caleb:
  29. Ekeler was also lost for the season, and Daniels is coming back from injury. Seeing what he looks like this weekend will give us a better idea. Getting Jarrett, Edwards, and Gordon back will help because they are all solid against the run.
