  2. Here's a breakdown. Also, I'll show how Caleb missed a game winning shot on the same play. Lessons learned the hard way... https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTrXdQnDraW/?igsh=MWJkd243bmR3bzNrbA==
  3. Here are the Bears Free Agents heading into the offseason. Counting Special Teams, the Bears have 5 starters that are UFAs. Daly and Duvernay are low salaries guys that can be brought back with little cap considerations. So that leaves Brisker, Byard, and Wright. Out of those 3, I would bring back Byard, he should be the cheapest of the 3 and gives you the most in terms of performance and leadership. Brisker played a great game against the Rams but is too big of an injury risk with his concussion history. Wright started out on fire, then got burnt for the back half of the season. Unrestricted Free Agents S Jaquan Brisker - Injury risk, pass S Kevin Byard - I would resign to a 2-yr deal, team leader, still playing at a high level CB Nashon Wright - subtract the INTs and you have a bad DB LS Scott Daly - resign to near vet min deal WR Devin Duvernay - resign to near vet min deal, unless you think you can get more out of this position DL Andrew Billings - gone, old, fat, and slow. CB Elijah Hicks - If signed will be for near league min deal RB Travis Homer - If signed will be for near league min deal LB D'Marco Jackson - I would resign him if you are playing on keeping DA, Jackson played well as the next man up OT Braxton Jones - cant see them resigning him DB Jaylon Jones - If signed will be for near league min deal QB Case Keenum - Bring him back if you think he can still provide guidance, with Caleb entering Year 3, might not be needed anymore CB Nick McCloud - Please don't resign this turnstile, contributed directly to at least 3 of the Bears losses S Jonathan Owens - Meh Edge Dominique Robinson - Never consistent enough TE Durham Smythe - Solid TE3 Edge Joe Tryon-Shoyinka - Made a couple of plays, doubt you have money for rotational Edges over league min DL Chris Williams - DT Room needs an upgrade from top to bottom WR Olamide Zaccheaus - Impressed in training camp and early on, then fell off a cliff. Doubt he is back. Restricted/Exclusive-Rights Free Agents LT Theo Benedet - cool story, but depends on the cost Edge Daniel Hardy - ST Specialist, only sign if he is getting ST level money LB Noah Sewell - Injuries and terrible in coverage
  4. Yeah, seeing the replays, he was jogging the entire route and the Safety from a standstill was able to beat him to the spot and make a play on the ball. I don't know how you can come back from that, all the other players saw it or will see it a million times between now and next season. The problem with DJ has always been effort. This year targets down, effort down. This was his first time on a winning team in his college and pro career and this is how he acts? Too accustomed to the loser mentality.

He wasn't great in coverage, but was the top tackler. Our stud safety is already on the team. It's Tremaine "can't fill the hole" Edmunds. He finishes every play from the secondary. The wife even notices now.
  6. No. It was pure lack of effort and awareness. He didn't think the play was coming to him, so he took it off. We've seen that many times from DJ. Good riddance to him.

  8. What a fantastic season this year. I did not expect what we have done, and Caleb has shown we have finally got the QB we have dreamed off having in the windy city. A few different choices in the game and we would be playing Seattle. A big miss was losing Loveland late in the game. On the last interception, the long season, tough game and age, probably prevented DJ from getting to where he needed to be to either catch the ball or prevent the pick. Hats off to the team, they have battled adversity and produced a remarkable season. Now it’s on Poles and Johnson to make the correct decisions needed to make the roster better, either keeping the players we need to resign on affordable deals, moving on the players that make sense schematically and fiscally, and drafting and signing free agents, that make us a formidable team, because Caleb and Johnson should put us in the mix to be frequent playoff and Super Bowl mentions. Additionally, players might want to come to Chicago on affordable deals because of getting a chance of winning a ring.

For sure, I can see a one year extension but not long term. He played great tonight but wasn't any where near like this all year.

He wasn’t very good against the Packers. I wish he had played like he did today all year long. It’s time for younger players.

    Pick #25

With the way Brisker played after a healthy year played his best game as a pro in the most important game , I think they will strongly consider bringing both Ss back. It comes down to money.

You're spot on, the big key is LT options. I doubt they draft one in the first. Clearly Braxton gone, how long will Ozzy be gone and can Kiran compete with Theo until Ozzy is back? We have plenty of time to project.
  13. Agree, we had the chance to win this game. A few drops, bad officiating, BJ had some bad decisions, Caleb played well but has some bad decisions. Great season. The good things, the defense came to play, we need to bring Brisker back, they will regroup and learn from their mistakes. Another good draft, resign some players, get help on the DL, come out dominating next year with Caleb another year better. For the first year of BJ, we are now super bowl contenders next year. Could have been in the NFC championship game.

    Pick #25

Billings so he can make tackles 8 yards off the LOS? No we don't need that. If there is a stud safety there in Rd 2 I'm ok taking him there but logic says go DT/DE early.

    Pick #25

DE and DT come to mind for 1 and 2 and a S round 3. I dont see Billings back, think Dexter can handle nose? The need at LT stinks bc we have resources. This is Kirans time to rise, of Ozzy can do it he can too. We need Ozzy back ASAP, but feel it could be into next season.
  16. Offseason talk is now official. Lets see what Poles and Johnson have in store to improve. Our D showed improvements tonight, cant wait to see how they build. On Offense, what changes do they make there? No one expected to see us a play or two away from the divisional game.

The Bears have the 25th pick in the 2026 draft. Pass Rush is an issue, no starting Safeties, and a question mark at LT. They need at least 2 starters from this class.
  18. Yeah, they haven't had a quick game all year. The quarterback is still too much in all or nothing mode. There were several times in this game he missed the RB in the flat for major yardage. He misses 5 yard out routes. It HAS to get better next year. Their lack of run game only highlights the necessity for having a quarterback that is efficient with the quick game to make up for it.
  19. Yeah didn’t need the moneyshot there but I get it. They weren’t moving the ball all that well all game.
  20. 1 play from the NFCC and played one of their worst games. If they catch 2 to 3 of the 7 drops they win. If this team improves, they are going to be in every game.
  21. Heartbroken but great season. They should only get better and this was an amazing experience
  22. On the INT, what was the play call there? 4 deep routes, no one underneath. You got there dinking and dunking, just keep doing that until they stop you. You needed 15 to 20 yards.
  23. Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson both had their worst games as a professional. Caleb's down field accuracy cost them this game, as well as Ben Johnson's decision making in the redzone. Gut wrenching loss. Defense played their ass off.
