? About Away Game with Carolina
They (the 2 authors of the article) were suggesting it would be a 'trap game.' If we lose a game this year because the players thought they could take a game off and win, I would be all ugly on BJ and his staff. BJ should have these guys fired up. Trap games are, IMO, the fault of the HC & staff for failing to sense their team's mood and motivate them. I'd be totally disappointed if the players don't show everyone we deserve their respect.

? About Away Game with Carolina
As much as we have a better roster, Carolina at home will not be an easy game. They have a weakness with the run defense and we have to exploit that.

Camp Notes
I watched all our games last year in the condensed form and it was educational. Penalties killed a lot of drives. Caleb made a lot of big plays but he needs to get more consistent with his change up. To many drops by our WRs. The OL had a lot of bad games even thou they were improved overall. We were 22nd in the league in 4th down efficiency. (51%) I like being aggressive but BJ needs to never do it before he crosses the 50 yard line. We had to many FGs when we should have scored TDs. play calling had a lot to do with that. We need to keep it simple and not get so cute. Sewell was terrible when he was on the field. An upgrade in our LBers will be huge in our defensive scheme. The middle of the field was a big weakness. With our second year in the offense we will run a lot smoother and BJ will have a better idea of his strength. We were more consistent when ithe 12 ad 13 group was on the field. Can understand why he brought in a competent 3rd TE. With the improvement of Caleb, our offense should be top 5 in the league. 9th in points last year, we should challenge for the top scoring team.

I’m 61 yet I know which of these 3 RBs I can hit. I’ll get run over for sure but those slow feet don’t worry me. At the 1:25 mark.

Seen a fake X/Twitter poster saying teams are contacting the Bears about trading for Roschon. After seeing a 5th or 6th, I knew it was fake. Q

Odds are not in his favor but the new RB coach did say he looks in good shape for the OTAs, of course its his durability that is the problem.

? About Away Game with Carolina
The Panthers were 8-9 last year but somehow beat the Rams, Packers, and Cowboys. I think with a lot of predictions, people come up with a number, then have to figure out how those play out instead of treating each game individually. The Panthers haven't won in Week 1 since 2021. Bryce Young has played in 3 Week 1 games, in each one, he has thrown 2 INTs, averaged 154 yards passing. The last time the Bears played CAR was in 2024, where the Bears won 36-10. I would be shocked if they lose.

no doubt. too bad too, when he first joined the team, I thought he played hard and with a lot of heart, like another David Montgomery type, but then his snaps have fallen off so much, I dunno if its pass blocking or bad hands or what, but hes become a ghost now it seems.

Roschon’s days in a Bears uniform are getting shorter.

The Defense is Already Fixed...
I had this exact conversation with my orthopedic surgeon, due to having my hip replaced in January. He said I recovered freakishly fast. Usual full recovery time for a hip is six months. It took me three. My mother had both hips replaced and was walking stairs within a month of both.(She's a superhero) I'm at the four month mark now and more mobile and lighter than I have been in years. Hopefully, Dayo is that way too. He'll need it for what their bodies go through.

This is old news but the Bears cut Deion Haskins and added Salvon Ahmed/RB and Anthony Johnson/S.

The Defense is Already Fixed...
I think it remains to be seen when he can get on the field. Everyone's body chemistry is different and maybe his recovery is from having a body that repairs itself quickly. Adrian Peterson surprised everyone when he recovered from his torn ACL and MCL in 9 months and rushed for over 2000 yards that season. Terrell Suggs recovered from the same injury in 5 and 1/2 months and played in a SB season. Suggested recover times are always projected conservatively but its not set in stone.

The Defense is Already Fixed...
I’m very curious about this recovery and how he can heal that fast from an injury that used to take 12-18 months to recover from Pro Football RumorsBears Expect Training Camp Return For DE Dayo OdeyingboDayo Odeyingbo is set to recover from his 2025 Achilles tear in time to participate in the Bears' training camp. Very impressive. Looking good. I may have rushed to judgment. He looked to be in terrific shape & working hard.

Camp Notes
He was looking good in that video. Hopefully, he's ready when needed.
-
Camp Notes
He was putting in some effort to get over those issues. No details on the nature of this so we’ll see what happens as we get closer to the season.

Camp Notes
Always seems to happen. Players get the big money guarantees on their first major contract after their rookie deal, and suddenly, they have soft tissue issues that keep them from earning the extension. If we're going to take a step forward to the Super Bowl against a strong schedule, we need all hands on deck.
-
Camp Notes
Going into voluntary OTAs Kyle Gordon has a soft tissue injury and (surprise) JJ isnt here. Now to be fair JJ got married two weeks ago but with the no show injury last year, he needs to show he's committed.

I have questions
Who leads the team in receptions? As much as i think all the weapons will get an uptick in targets do to a more effective offense, I think Loveland leads in receptions. The first 9 games of the season Loveland had 33 targets, the last 8 he had 49. As much as Caleb has some type of bond with Rome, Loveland has become his go to guy. IMO

? About Away Game with Carolina
I think Vegas has the Bears favored in 12 games, but the over under on wins is 9.5 LOL Make it make sense. I think the answer to your question Pix, is that a lot of prognosticators are cynical about our chances. I myself am pretty optimistic about this season. I dont know how they predict us to lose that one. Vegas has us as 2 1/2 point faves n that game, on the road. So 5 points at a neutral site. I just think people, have a hard time really feeling that the bears are a for real good team. Yes we got turnovers we wont get this year as they will say, but our defense is a lot better for speed and coverage, and we will be better vs the run. Johnson's in year 2, so I think we beat Carolina. But things happen, teams arent ready, or its a weird day, and we can still win 11 or more games even if we drop Carolina. Last year we lost the first two and managed 11 after that with a team that was inferior to this one in so many ways. Caleb coming into year 3, and year 2 with Johnson, more speed and coverage on the D. I think it looks pretty good for this team. They just have to reach out and take it. And I cant imagine them not being in that mindset with Johnson around. Also, there has to be an Edge player coming, right? And maybe a LT?

? About Away Game with Carolina
A bit early, but what else can we do to kill time waiting for camp to open? There was an article on NFL.com predicting the outcome of every regular-season game to be played in 2026. The authors of the predictions were two guys I'm unfamiliar with, Ali Bhanpuri & Tom Blair. These guys were generous with their predictions for the Bears. One had us at 10 wins; the other at 11. Both had us winning the NFC North title again. One had us going into the playoffs as the #2 seed; the other as the #3 seed. What really surprised me was how optimistic they were compared to so many other doom-and-gloom predictors. Yet they both had the Bears losing to Carolina in our season opener. If we lose our opener, I would be so depressed. Carolina??? Seriously? Your prediction?

I have questions
I'm with you 100%. I've always been a big fan of Booker. I was expecting him to hit 10+ last year, but then he got injured. If he stays healthy, he will finally complement Sweat. I also agree we will, because of the speed we have added to our defense, see multiple players contributing 4, 5, or 6 sacks. (I would still love to see them sign a vet edge to rotate with the young lads.)
