  1. Past hour

  2. well Id just called him out too LOL so both of us were wrong LOL
  3. Right on que, after I post. Davis and Alexander are looking good at WR too.
  4. Bagent seems to be heating up now. Looking much better!
  5. Was hoping Bagent would look like a top 30 QB, but not much today. Cromah might make this team at DE. He has been in Watsons face often
  6. Agree about Bush. Gallimore and Van Der Berg looking pretty good. Muhammad not looking lost out there, and Thienemen showing speed and around the ball. WIlls with a bad pressure, and Bagent not looking like someone would trade for him. Its early.
  7. Today

  8. Bush and Sanborn look good. DBs not so much. DLine not seeing much

Nice stop by Bush; TFL caused CLE to go 3-and-out. Good play by our new LB.
  10. It's game time! We have to practice too. BLTs for lunch brought to you by a big glass of milk to wash it down. 🍻
  11. Those traits easily convert to an all pro guard if he doesn't work out at tackle.

  14. Yes, you can keep up to 2 players. First one costs one round, second one costs two rounds (3rd for a 2nd, and 6th for a 4th). If the round ends up being the same, you swap it so the first keeper loses two rounds and the 2nd keeper loses one round (3rd for a 1st and 4th for a 3rd). Last Year's Keepers, and links to last year's draft and final rosters are in the first post.
  15. I should amend, and acknowledge the all rookie team Mongo mentioned. He was and is a very good run blocker. The tape I saw was of his pass protection issues, and it was really really bad. That doesnt mean he's still bad. He was great in college, and now he has Roushar and not the Browns. But i want to see it on the field before i can "believe" it - doesnt mean I know he will be bad, just that I dont want to crown him when the last snaps I saw from him were so bad? I want to see him be great on tape, and then ill happily jump on the bandwagon!
  16. We still have some roster holes, but we also have a lot of places where we have great depth too. I cant wait to see it on the field. Lets GO.

This might be the first year where I’m excited to see our second string play. I feel Bagent is good enough as QB that I can get a sense of the backup receivers. Beyond that we have Wills, Logan Jones,Rousch, Hayden Large, and RB Ahmed. Defense of course VDB but really what do any of these LBs look like? Are the rumors of Hyppolite playing better true? I think they’ll be conservative with the DBs due to the injuries so I expect a lot of snaps with guys I never heard of.
  18. I’m going with Braxton week 1. Like last year with Trapilo I see Wills taking over mid season. It’s no mistake that first half snaps are split between Wills and Kiran with Bagent and the second string. I too will be watching that tape. Almost two years removed from football is a lot of rust to shake off. The fact he’s gaining ground after just two weeks, which Ozzy wasn’t able to do last year, is intriguing.
  19. Don't leave us in suspense. Who's your starting LT game one?
  20. I’ll feel better about Trapilo and Wills when I see Theo Benedet taking snaps inside. Trapilo is a better swing tackle prospect. Theo might become the ultimate game day sub if he can backup OG and OT plus he does a lot of special teams.
  21. That is what I am saying. Let him roll all pre-season and put his game on display. If the Bears feel good with developing a new backup next season, then turn Bagent into a 2nd or high 3rd. The QB class is supposed to be deep, maybe get a 4th or 5th round prospect.
  22. Coaching matters. The best talents will waste in the nfl unless coaching and the team invest in them. If the player dont feel wanted they end up going through motions. Lets hope Wills takes this new opportunity to be and feel relevant. Same with Braxton Jones and Kiran, may the best win the spot and the remaining are ready to step in.
  23. Last week

  24. Gotta disagree. As a rookie, he made the all rookie team. His second and third year, Nick Chubb was all pro.
  25. Wills has a prototypical body and great college tape. The only thing is, he didnt just get injured, he was putting up AWFUL tape in Cleveland before he got injured. But hes young, and he has an excellent coaching staff around him. Could he become great? Sure of course. But i want to see it with my own eyes first, because his previous NFL snaps were atrocious. I could imagine any outcome for him now; greatness, inconsistent or terrible. Cant wait to see him in action.
  26. Bagent is a good QB. He will get a chance to start somewhere, and before that he will be an excellent backup if we have need of him (hopefully not!) I just hope we get some high draft value for him when we do trade him?
  27. Love BJs drive and goals. As long as he remembers they play outdoors in Chicago and that can change offensive conditions come winter, wanting to be the best should not be frowned upon. Now that the offense looks top 5 on paper, maybe better. I think getting the D established needs some high level analytics to build the line with driven players, like the rookie Van Den Berg. The crap part is Jaylon feels he is in a contract year, Gordan is not reliable, so CB might also be high priority.
  28. I would like Caleb to get a couple of series before regular season just to get real game feel. If not, in BJ we trust. I also want Bagent to look all-pro and make him a hot commodity. He has 2 years on contract and trading him after the season for a 2nd would be a huge power move.
  29. Starting a new thread just to keep track of post game analysis on the new players. This surprised me mostly because I don’t recall having a Bears QB who the coach said doesn’t need more snaps to improve before the season starts Do I need to see Caleb Williams in the preseason? No, I do not. I see him every single day in practice," Johnson said, noting that Williams will be ready for Week 1 based on what he's seen during practice this summer.
