  2. It’s preseason 4th and goal Bears make the stop and the whole stadium goes nuts. Football is back!

  4. It seems like other teams have more injuries than we do but JJ, Gordon and Shemar Turner will have an impact if not back.

Now Rondale Moore lost for the season. Minnesota won't have Addison nor Moore for Week 1.
  6. Here we go, the first dress rehearsal for the new regime. I will be watching to see how the young bucks looks, and how the communication is with the new staff. Hoping for a cleaner game with minimal pre-snap penalties, and no major injuries. We will see if the physicality carries over from the joint practices, or if Miami comes out with some payback in mind. Bears by 20.

I don't put much weight in the preseason game outcomes, but I would be slightly concerned if the Bears were getting blown out in every preseason game. Especially the score at halftime. If you are already getting blown out at halftime where you would've had at least your primary backups in, that would be concerning.
  8. This kid just kicked a 70 yard field goal https://youtube.com/shorts/3l4l4MKtroA?si=jvShppIk9c6Js5Xw
  9. Being a fan and former player, it drives me crazy. Wear the damn mouthpiece! It's part of the anti concussion protocol...🤯. My brain prays for you...🙏
  10. Does anyone else find joy in watching the Packers lose? Its a preseason game and doesnt matter but I just like to see them play bad. Defense wasnt good, first team offense couldnt move the ball and their vaulted WR corp drop balls all over the place.
  11. You should try being a ref and watching the mouthpieces in the NFL dangle. Equipment is a point of emphasis over and over. But for some reason in the NFL the don’t care about wearing any equipment whatsoever, then complain years later about CTE and not getting compensated enough to retire.

  13. Finally all the comedians are showing their faces.
  14. Hell with that, you need self propelled. Still gonna work a montez sweat up.
  15. I would say with a push mower (non self propeled) mowing 4 acres would great for the body.
  16. I stay busy but, I'm not as physically active as I should be. Getting ready to mow four acres though...
  17. I'm going to look into the mitochondrial thing. Thank you!
  18. I think DA is using Edmunds better than Flus did. Terrell was a beast in Buffalo and can meet his paycheck with DA using him to add to the blitz. Byard mentioned Eligah Hicks and for a late round pick has always played well in a backup role. Our back 7 has a lot of depth. Sewell is showing up. In his Jr year in college he was a huge stat getter and just needed DA to get him up to speed. The defense has taken a back seat to the showcase of offense but we have several leaders on this team. Jarrett and Dayo are attitude guys and Shemar Turner is exactly that as soon as he's back. Sweat is looking like the beast he was in 2023 when he came here.
  19. Let me say, plumbing for 50 yrs, I have been knocked out several times and have brain fog which is also a part of getting old, its your body changing chemically as we age. Hopefully it didnt have a huge impact on your brain and wish you well. Health is a controled state that eating better and paying attention to it helps as we age. A hard physical job beat my body up but internally I am very healthy for 73. Read alot about health and stay active, but Im sure you are an active person. You seem to have a busy life.
  20. We have to credit DA for the aggressive physical football being back. Jarrett is an attitude guy who pushes other players. Byard has always been that player but the dysfuncion last year didnt allow him to show up all the time. Montez is looking like the first year he got here with his quickness and attitude. Like AZ said, Turner is the perfect fit , I hope he gets on the field before the season starts. And Brisker is healthy and sticks it in your face.
  21. I guess if we are the more athletic team, and we are coached with more desire this will be an advantage for us.
  22. I'm glad they are forcing more returns so we get more explosive plays... or stopping returns at the 20yd line which is a good defensive play. At a minimum we need something approaching a competitive play in this team sport.
  23. I've had my own struggles with similar issues over the last 8-10 years. Aways believe there is a way you just have to find it. I'm not a doctor so it took me 5 years to learn to search for things that improve mitochondrial health. Now in my 60's, having found the right formula has been a game changer for me. It's not one thing and we're all unique and have to find what works for each of us. I hope you find what works for you.
  24. F*ck yes. "grown-man, in-your-face, physical football" YES.

Watching this press conference really has me excited for this season. I haven't felt this way in a long time. Now I know everyone is still worried about our offense but I'm very confident those issues will get ironed out early in the season. Why? I haven't seen any sign of Ben Johnson backing off on the scheme yet. They haven't digested everything yet but if he keeps feeding them it's because they're eating. I know he will slim it down for the start of the season but what's important is that Ben will have everything on the menu at his disposal as he makes the game plans. However, defensive football is my true love. It's not that we looked better than the Dolphins offense today. it's the way we took their lunch money that has me fired up. We've had some good defense at various times over the last 30 years (I guess it's more like 40 years now) but we haven't had that hard-nosed defense I grew up with in the 70s and 80s. Win or lose, I think grown-man, in-your-face, physical football is going to return to Chicago this year. This doesn't mean I think we're going to be an elite defense. I think it will be good, maybe even top 10. But there's going to more "impact" plays on defense. Looking back on the draft it's now clear Shemar Turner is a perfect fit for what Dennis Allen wants to see on the field. With the offense set for the next 3 years we're building defense for the next two. Light the fuse I'm ready....Let's Go!!!!!
