  2. Well said. Couldn’t agree more. In something like this you can easily forget some of the good he has done too. Just in this game alone he made an incredible catch (a few actually) that got the team out of the deep end of the field. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/19aoiABCpW/?mibextid=wwXIfr

  4. Swift is a decent RB, but with no blocking he doesnt do much, and with good blocking he looks great. Most RBs are like that.
  5. How close do you think Monongai is to Swift? Maybe 60 swift/40 monongai? Next year that could flip. Draft one somewhere in rd 3-7 and when Swifts contract is up at the end of 2026 season he walks and the rookie is seasoned to shine with Monongai. The offense wont be totally off hands come draft. They can go WR(DJ), RB (DS), TE (CK), or OL to start prepping. They cannot keep all the vets, great teams know how to cycle.

It's a character trait. If you can't see it, it's not worth explaining. It's not being critical when it's happened too many times. Good player. Flawed deeply. Lacking football awareness...
  7. I think everyone think he was just average until BJ come and revive his career. Way to good to let go now. Low mileage.

You can criticize DJ all you want, I just haven't seen a lot times he quit on plays. You're much better at detailed content than me. Show me and I'll agree with you.
  9. Glad that not everyone taking shots at DJ, we had a great season, let's do what we normally do rebuild the off-season in our own opinions.
  10. This is where I am. It really sucks but this guy played through a ton of injuries and made some good plays. I think he wishes he had a do over but I also appreciate that Caleb didn’t throw him over the bus and as fans I think we have to look at the whole population of work vs the unfortunate sample. I also think this can be a good opportunity for DJ to grow from this as it really looked like the chemistry was finally starting to form.
  11. I think it was a collection of things. I think he started the game with an injury of some sort. And after he landed on his head about 3 quarters in he went to the medical tent. Then after coming back out he did it again. Maybe it was a combination of fatigue, dizziness and lingering muscle injury. Add in the cold and he’s sorta behind the curve. After that last catch against GB it was pretty evident he was pretty wiped. I can’t fault the guy. In my opinion he’s been a warrior more than he hasn’t. He’s essentially been ‘the guy’ not just for us these last few years but also when he was with Carolina. The way he plays as a receiver, after the catch, isn’t traditional play you see from receivers. He’s taken some hits because of his refusal to go down on first contact. I think the toll of it all is catching up to him. And as I said before the way Burden plays you’ve already got his replacement in a younger and less expensive version.

Noticing that DJ quits a lot isnt because people have a psychological issue about being too critical. It's because he quits a lot. I remember when I was a hater, but then it turned out that it wasnt a psychological flaw, it was just that Eberflus and Fields suck. And now Im a homer FOR Caleb LOL I must be schizo lol
  13. I gotta agree. It's kind of football 101, maybe 201 , but the main idea is you run away fromt he defender, not on a path that will make you covered. Caleb also had been telling his WRs this same coaching point last week during the packers game. it got caught on camera and audio, and he was saying, if the safety is above you, you gotta flatten out. I think most of these plays have adjustments that payers are coached to make. QBs and WRs have to be on the same page. So is it easy? of course not! But it's what you expect from a guy youre paying that much? If DJ cost $15M, hed be easy to keep, but at $25M its too much in my opinion.
  14. Totally agree, the OL sucked last year and fixed it. Got help on defense but injuries derailed any improvement. When looking at the future look at our roster as is before adding. This offense is almost intact besides the LT question. Without subtractions is a Caleb breakout year, top 3 offense. McFadden, Newman, Stromberg, Kiran and Theo align for good depth. We will see what happens on the defense. With players coming back from health, we need two Ss and a DT. They will address those positions in the draft. They may add free agents and a big splash depending on what they want to do. I think they fix everything going into next year.
  15. They need to get a defense to have a shot of repeating, especially winning the top/#1 schedule. We may have a good offense, but cannot rely on 4th qtr heroics every game especially against better opponents. Receivers need to catch and Caleb needs to read the field like he does with 2-3 minutes left.
  16. Every year our schedule looks bad. The better you are the more chances you have to play better teams. I think we split in the division and win all our home games. So is that 8-9 wins? Then lose to a few big boys on the road and finish with 11 -12 wins. Now if Caleb breakout next year happens, I can see maybe 13 -14 wins. They will be saying oh crap, we have to play the bear's.
  17. I get I'm almost the only one that supports DJ no bo use beating the discussion up over it, I'm not changing my mind and you aren't either. I will say , I've seen no criticism for Caleb throwing 5 ints in the playoffs. All of those weren't on the WR, yet I still think he is the next great QB in the league. I can do both.

Refresh my memory I remember one play last year that he got heat for. Had it not been for DJ we won't have won the last two Packer games but the good things doesn't matter when people want to be critical.
  19. I have been defending DJ but it is clear there is a lack of effort on that play, I am not making excuses. I never judge a player by a few plays a year. Every player can have criticism at someone. The last two games our most dependable WRs Loveland and Burden had drops. Rome dropped a TD pass. I look at the overall season. For everyone that has played before, could it be fatigue? He was limping on the sidelines at the end of the game . Could it be a hamstring tighting up? He is a team player and had been the top target getter up till this year and never once complained about it. Had he not made that one hand catch earlier, this wouldn't be a conversation. His two catches in the last two Packer games that helped win those games for us. Have your own opinions but I'm not beating him up over a few plays a year even he leaves next year.

  21. So, creative soul, I literally just found something shockingly creative, I had to pause my life and share immediately. This thing is a pixel miracle. It’s packed with color chaos, next-level thinking, and just the right amount of designer madness. Suspicious yet? Alright, go look right on this link! You’re still here? Fine. Imagine a caffeinated unicorn whipped up a site after reading memes. That’s the vibe this thing of wonder gives. So go ahead, and share the love. Because real talk, this is pure genius. Boom.
  22. If you say so. I have more questions now after seeing the clips you provided but for the sake of letting sleeping dogs lie and not beating the dead horse any longer, I'll move along. Onto April. And for the sake of my daughter, Go Hawks.

I feel pretty good with Odunze, Burden, and Walker if DJ is moved. Draft another later and sign someone with better hands than zaccheous. With all the drops by all the receivers, they need to spend the offseason together taking Caleb's bullets. I love Randell El, but he needs to work harder getting his WR hands stickier.
  24. Outside of the division, the Bears top QBs they will face will be: Allen, Maye, and Lawrence with 2 of those games at home. I kinda like that. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mayfield Philadelphia Eagles - Hurts Jacksonville Jaguars - Lawrence New York Jets - Rookie? New England Patriots - Maye New Orleans Saints - Shough Buffalo Bills - Allen Miami Dolphins - Tua? Atlanta Falcons - Penix/Cousins? Carolina Panthers - Young Seattle Seahawks - Darnold
  25. Looking at this again with some of the playoffs complete, the biggest challenges will be SEA and NE, and BUF in BUF. JAX in CHI will be a solid matchup. If you consider SEA, NE, JAX, BUF, and PHI as top 10 teams, that is 5 games against top 10 teams, 6 divisional games (always tough), 4 meh teams, and 2 bad teams. So 5, 6, 6, is a pretty even distribution. I just hope they get a later bye.

Team players don't quit. This may be the most off base argument you have ever made. And it's not the second or third time either he has quit on the team. Also as he was a pouty little bitch last year. Good grief...
  27. Dolphins hiring Packers DC Hafley as their next HC. Good chance with GB looking for a new DC their strong candidate is Al Harris. I hope not but we shall see. Bears Coach Emerges as Logical Option if Packers Lose Hafley
  28. I'd prefer to move on from Swift instead of more years. Seems like he dogged it until Monongai showed us what can be done. They also switched up the run scheme. If a 7th round rookie can light it up, imagine a top tier prospect with speed.
