  2. If it was Bowers and Loveland, they'd make it work, and work well. The whole question here really rests on how good Kmet really is. We all have our views, but we will all see him on the field, with Johnson using him correctly. if he balls out, then we will keep him and be fearsome. If he doesnt, hes gone at some point. Those that rate him highly will expect him to play well, and should feel pretty good that he will stay. Those that rate him less well will expect him to play at a mediocre level and feel good that he will be gone. Im in the second group, but I will be very happy to be proven wrong. It's not impossible by any means. Kmet's measurables are really great. So we will see if he can quickly ascend under Johnson's tutelage. He can wake up and take his destiny, but its not easy to do, and his window is probably pretty short. I hope he does it.
  3. The owners share profits and markets like the Lakers and Dallas bring in a lot more than Utah or Charlotte. It could be a collective agreement as the Bulls were given Rose and Cleveland Lebron in the lotto, so the cheat is spread around year to year.
  4. The numbers won't be as great as that, but it's the idea of two TEs that can work on the field together. If you replace the receptions on NE going down to Moore, Odunze, Loveland, Kmet and shave some from each of those for Burden.
  5. Gronk is the unicorn in the room. He's the greatest inline TE of all time. Loveland can counter that due to him being more talented than Hernandez. It's still hard to offset the GOAT.
  6. I think at this point we've all been so abused by the Bears, it is wise to want to see it on tape before getting too ahead of ourselves. I really want it, but I need to see it.
  7. Right, youre not hating on Loveland, you just wish theyd spent the pick elsewhere. And I think you think Kmet was OK (and I do too) but I also think you dont think Loveland will be worth the lost opportunity to have spent the pick elsewhere. My disagreement with that is i think hes gonna be a star. If he just ends up decent, then youre totally right.

Bingo. Can’t build the best TE room in NFL history and leave other positions empty. That’s my primary point regarding this situation.
  9. I cant say it isnt rigged, but if i understand correctly there are a lot of balls in there and some teams have multiple balls and some have just one, and a team with just one won it. Consider that each ball in there has the same % chance to be picked. Each team has a different % of outcome, because some have more balls, but each singular ball has the same chance to be picked, so it's not so crazy that the team with just one ball won.
  10. That is me too - I want to see it in the season .
  11. Comparing a rookie and an underused TE, regardless of how talented they are, to the best TE combo in NFL history, is quite a reach IMO. Can it work? Fingers crossed. But I don’t think it’ll be close to that and I think Kmet’s on a countdown.
  12. You have to pay them all, and if you dont, you can use the money elsewhere like on the DL for example. Its not a case of whether Kmet has value, of course he does, its just a matter of cap management, not now, but at the trade deadline or next offseason? I just dont think Kmet is as good as you do. And he will have at least half a season to make his case to both of us.
  13. 2 WRs and 2 TES had over 90 targets. 58 targets to RBs, and the rest of the WRs 51. I can see that divided more between our 5 biggests weapns and very little for the rest of the team.
  14. The owners as a construct own the league and hire who runs it. WHO rigged it? One owner paid Silver to cheat the system? Who controls that?
  15. We all would need to see it, but it worked before. Patriots 2011
  16. Yes, they are releasing games as teasers. Im still predicting Bears at GB opening week, Sunday night football.
  17. It's an entertainment business. If you think teams like the Bulls lucked out to land homegrown Derrick Rose with a 1.8% chance then Cleveland lands home grown LeBron and many others, then let me sell you some sand (if your near a beach). Listen to LeBron
  18. Odds are thin that happens . Every team has their own agenda to get better. They dont get together and say (its your turn this year).
  19. We can make all kind of scenarios to explain a thought process but it is simply put they are not replacing players , they're adding to the roster. Offensives are a composite of the weapons on the team , the more the better. Who cares is Loveland gets 70 catches, and Kmet gets 50, they are both contributing to the overall success of offense.
  20. Kmet has been a productive TE. He had a down year, last year, because of the dysfunction of the offense. Johnson has a creative mind, the more options the better. Playing 12 scheme a lot wouldnt you think 2 catching options at TE is better than one TE playing the inline role? I dont get the disconnect that more options for Caleb is a good thing. Right now they are building an offense, not relplacing players with a new TE or new WR.
  21. If a couple games leak, you would someone has the schedule. You think they purposely are leaky the schedule?
  22. I'm on the other side of this one re: Loveland and Kmet, but we are 100% aligned, that I need to see it on the field too. I've read all kinds of stuff over the years and gotten overly excited year after year. I wanna see it on the field. I expect we will, but I need to see it. Youre right.

Yes, of course, but that’s not the point. Any coach in the league would love to have Kelce, Kittles, and Bowers, but if you have them all then someone, if not two of them, is being used far less than their potential. The point is, when you have a two year old car that runs like a raped ape, but you have it sitting in the garage, you don’t go out and buy another, slightly different model car. Particularly when there is a hole in the roof. You drive the car in the garage and spend that extra money on the roof.
  24. We have heard that one before. Many times on this board. I’ll be from Missouri on this one and say they have to show me before I believe it.
