  2. Huge huge game and great win. Caleb played his best game as a pro as a pure qb. He has had more electric games with big plays but this was just beautiful execution outside of taking a couple first down sacks that he had to get rid of it. Excellent performance and great to have him back. Defense was stellar - Kyler was electric but Lewis played well and everyone was swarming. Penalties were awful - between that and Roschon fumble we almost ruined a great day. I’d also say these refs were pretty weak. But bears have to clean up the little stuff. Fantastic to see ball spread all around today and in particular great to see Loveland get involved early and often. That TD catch was great.
  3. I didnt catch it, but at one point before half Caleb and Ben were arguing on sideline. I missed it, but was told they think its because Caleb was handcuffed from running with the ball. He needed protection from that on a short week.
  4. He said exactly that during his post game ball acceptance . About 1/2 way through this video. Important for the team to hear stuff like that .
  5. Today

  6. I read this amazing stat on the "Heavy" website: (Copy & Paste quote):
  7. I think Williams time on on the sidelines was beneficial.
  8. Another crazy game, but man the officials are terrible. Dotson can push off but Loveland can't extend his arm? Caleb and Kyler wow. Caleb, the best Comp% for a Bears QB with over 30+ attempts, ever, 8.5 YPA with over 300 yards passing. Only 6 incompletions with several throw-aways. You could tell he is not 100%, 4 rushes for 3 yards and took 4 sacks. Hopefully he can keep healing and didn't aggravate anything. Amazing efficiency and exactly what we have been asking for. Kyler, wow, what a return. 3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 TFL on ONLY 16 snaps? Insane. Exactly what the defense needed. Outside of taking their foot off the pedal in the 4th and the refs, they should've won by 20.
  9. Yesterday

  10. Good to get some talent back. Coby Bryant, TJ, Dayo, Stevenson and Sweat coming back will help the D.
  11. Yeah, for sure. Penalties then throttled back a little prematurely. But I have 20/20 hindsight on that part.
  12. Dennis Allens ennvison of Kyler came to reality today.
  13. Thank God Gordon is back in action today.
  14. Bad taste in my mouth after such a sweet start.
  15. Everything going bears way…except penalties. 11 for 118 so far and at the beginning of the 4th. Any other day and you’re losing. Can’t do that against teams playing well. pS: Jahdae Walker having a REALLY bad day today. Add 15 more yards.
  16. All what matters is having Caleb back and seeing what he brings.
  17. Honestly I think you might’ve seen it with Case in there last week - earlier in that game. But yes, having Caleb back makes a difference.
  18. Glad to see the energy back. Why and how is the team so different from last week to this. Need Caleb to stay healthy from here on out
  19. Wow! Caleb is apparently the elixir everyone needed. The defense, the offense and Ben. Everyone is fired up! The energy reminds me of the Eagles game.
  20. Bears making Loveland a priority! Defense playing motivated.
  21. Oh yeah, great question. In a quick read (reminder for me) he’s #2 on the depth chart at CB behind Stevenson, so perhaps we’ll see more of him today? 🤷‍♂️ The reminder to me part - and intriguing at the same time - was he was a former ‘all American’ at Utah where Jaylon Johnson played. Their paths crossed briefly while Phillips was a freshman and Jaylon a senior. And to add a little fictional intrigue, what a chance to play against the team that traded you away because they thought you expendable?
  22. Sounds like him and Gordon will split time at nickel today since Gordon is on a snap count as they ease him back.
  23. Whatever happened to the CB we received in the Dexter trade? The only reason I thought it was a fair offer was the kid we received sounded like a decent backup CB, not a pro bowler by any means, but not a bad dude to have around. Was his disappearance a sign he was a garbage add-on?
  24. BJ commented on him last week - was basically a no comment but it didn’t imply anything soon. I think it was a pretty darn serious injury so the 4 months was an extremely optimistic window vs likely. That said I hope you are right. They added McCloud so seems like they wanted a CB vs Safety knowing Lewis was sliding over. With Stevenson playing all year hurt, JJ struggling and Malik still a rookie I presume this was maybe also prioritizing position.
  25. Lot’s of good news. While I have no issue with them cutting Woods it does make me wonder if that also means that Bryant is getting close to entering his practice window. Initially they said 4 to 6 months so from the injury date of 3 Aug the shortest timeline there puts him back at the end of Nov. Then you see players like Trapilo and Williams returning ahead of schedule from significant injuries and I wonder if Bryant might also be a couple weeks ahead of schedule.
  26. Woods was playing awful so I support that. With Gordon back I presume Lewis will play safety opposite DT. Caleb back too. Good to get these guys back (plus Shemar). Trapillo is also likely to get a drive or two and be active for first time all season as well.
  27. Last week

  28. I remember him now. Remember the RBs running drills during camp and noted he had really fast feet and tree trunks for thighs. Highlights here show he does pretty good as a catching back and mostly is a North / South runner. I’d like to see what he can offer.
  29. For a player to lose over $1m per game the NFL would have to hear an appeal very quickly or there is risk of liability. Then when/if a player wins an appeal clubs won’t like coming back and paying someone for games not played. It’s not just paychecks lost it can also be games lost which affects playoffs. It’s hard to see how anyone would setup a process like that since the league office works for the owners. That’s why I think it’s most likely the appeal’s process is already done.
