  2. no we arent just talking about getting rid of people. we are talking about getting new awesome people too, at positions of need. Also we are talking about next year, not now. You get so "butthurt" about trading people - you want an old expensive team I guess. One that's stuck at around 7 wins a year - never bad enough to get a top pick, never good enough to contend. But lots of familiar faces, so you dont need to buy new jerseys. You DO understand that when you trade someone you get something in return right? More draft picks for younger cheaper players, or impact players at positions of need. Would I trade DJ Moore straight up for a young dominant pass rusher? You bet I would, and we'd win more games as a result. As soon as Burden is as good as DJ.
  3. We are on the verge of having something real good here and people want to talk about getting rid of people. Let the season play out and it will be clear at the end of the year what is next.

  5. thank you, I had that backwards. Kind of makes more sense in terms of the vegas opening line then.
  6. I was laughing as he was talking about Gibbs breaking tackles because he goes down easily. Getting your hands on him in open space isn't easy but most of those plays were just really poor tackling.

    Battle at LT

All this yada yada back and forth is nothing but conjecture at best. We don’t know what anyone truly thinks, what will happen, etc. Year after year we have these discussions but the team never does what any of us want. And maybe that should tell us something since they’ve sucked for the great majority of the last 40 years. What I know is this: OL was finally a top priority. That’s what I’ve wanted since the last Super Bowl. So, in general, I get to finally see if what I believe is true. If they start trading top talent for stockpiles of 2nd rounders just before the players degrade or want a huge contract, like DBDB suggested, then that’s one more thing I want.
  11. Braxton Jones has been announced as the starter at LT for Monday night. Im not surprised. Apparently Ben Johnson said the competition will continue, and could continue until the bye week. That also makes a lot of sense, and says to me that Trapilo still has a chance to take the job. May the best man win.
  12. For sure Moore is more expendable. If Burden balls out, then Moore and his cap hit are likely traded after this year. What I said before is that if Kmet doesnt play significantly better than he has, then he is trade bait at $11.6M a year. I also said if his play improves he can find a place on the team. The outcome of that remains to be seen, but Kmet has had some good plays this offseason, so let's see, Also I agree whether Kmet stays or goes, that 2 TEs is a big part of Johnson's offense. There are other cheaper TEs out there too who can beat a LB when Loveland takes the safety coverage. But if Kmet dominates, then of course he stays. And that goes for any player - if you dominate, you're probably gonna stick around, and if youre being paid a lot, and someone else can replace you, then youre tradeable. Im sure you agree.
  13. We all know Ben Johnson was thinking that having two good TEs gives him Lots of flexibility on offense. He was very clear about that after the draft and spoke about it further during the off-season. With Olamide looking like a good WR3 we could extend him relatively cheaply. Jahdae Walker also looks promising as a WR4 next year. With that if you need to free up cap space next year WR makes more sense than TE. I’d think Moore could net a 3rd Rd pick
  14. amen, Ill buy the first round for everyone.
  15. wow! so Vegas opened us as favorites on the road. Thats good news. All of this says this is anyone's game. Lets go!
  16. Since my name was brought up again, I'll say this; it's annoying to read something and question it to be told I should assume it's meaning. Words in person mean a lot less because of expression and inflection. Written words need to be more concise because the only thing you have is the words and punctuation. I choose not going to argue it anymore, because it's out of my control and I'd rather be bros than foes. Have a beer in me... Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference
  17. Straight line athlete can’t bend. Not big enough to play with power. We already have Dom Rob in that role.
  18. Most of the sites overwrite the current odds, but leave the "Open" odds. So that is the only place I see the Bears -1.5 now is in the open column like in the pick. Then you can see all the others are swapped to +1.5 for the Bears.
  19. I seen on X that we are trying out Isaiah Foskey/DE that played for the Saints last year was a second round pick but hasnt did anything in the NFL.
  20. ok well why does YOUR butt hurt? One wonders...
  21. I wanted 24-20 but you already stated it. So I changed up a little.
  22. Butthurt is not name calling it is what happening when someone whines about something. "butthurt" an excessive or unjustifiable feeling of personal offense or resentment.
  23. Swift is not a top 10 RB type in the league but last time he played for BJ, he had 99-542-5 and 48 rec-389-3. I also think we are discounting any effect Eric Bieniemy may have had in the RB room. I think Swift will be just fine for our run game. The key to the game will be the game calling of BJ vs the DC . BJ has did well against Brian Flores.
