I will feel a lot bette If we go into Atlanta with our starting qb and pull out a win (better yet a convincing win). Very worried about this game with our dline and lb corps and DBs…

Week 6 Official Game Thread - CHI @ ATL
Asked about Kyler Gordon’s status Ben simply said the plan is the same…we want to see him practice for 21 days before making a decision. No trust there. Ben also said we have guys on the roster who haven’t played yet. On that list are Jayden Loving and Jamree Kromah. The fact it’s critical we stop the run against Atlanta I’m going to guess we go bigger bodies on the Dline and this week we see Jayden Loving get the call. I expect they’ll have Lynch play more snaps at DE, he’s already taken some snaps there this season and if needed Daniel Hardy takes some snaps at DE as well. Hardy gets the nod over Jamree because of special teams. I still like Loving’s potential.

A who’s who list of who dat at DT.

I would trade a first rd pick and Sweat for Crosby. Im not sure they do much at DT this year with Jarrett, Dayo, Gallimore, Lynch, Van Den Berg, and co. It must be scheme assignment as to why the pressure isnt better.

I don't think we get an EDGE. The interior is not causing any disruption.

I saw that. LOL. Sounds like a mistake Google's AI would make. Gemini has made so many errors when I ask it a question; it is scary to think AI might take control.

In the ‘positive news’ department; Caleb and Gordon were listed as FULL participants for today’s practice.

Thanks for that. Couldn’t help but notice about halfway down the article the author mentioned “Gervon Dexter and D’Marcus Walker could face more attention from opposing offensive lines.” I know Dexter is gone but isn’t Walker too?

Did someone in the front office slip him a ruffee? Seems like a blessing to be able to go big on a Max Crosby or another top Edge. As for this year, I do not see the Bears cutting mid season without a reliable replacement.

Maybe an Adam or you question, or anyone keen on how NFL contracts work. Read yesterday that because of this incident the Bears aren’t tied to any of his contract “guarantees” anymore. Meaning, or at least the way I understood it, he could be expendable next year at low risk to the team.

The Bears are appealing the 2 game suspension and trying to extend it to 6 games.

Week 6 Official Game Thread - CHI @ ATL
Could be worse. Look at the Rams and they have Pro Bowl players all over their roster Dexter is absolutely not playing like a pro Bowl player. I’ve watched two Falcons games. Why I don’t really know. In both games I almost never heard his name called and I was trying to find him on the field. Nether could my sons who watched the last game with me. He seems to be a situational player or just part of a rotation. He makes a play he every now and then like he did in Chicago but I see nothing that says his contract will age well. Penix loves to throw to London. Baltimore tried to cover him with a zone and failed. Bijan is incredible. Every time he was on the field Baltimore just run blitzed and shut him down. We would do well to follow that. Atlanta’s second and third level run defense is shaky. Get past the Dline and you can often get good gains even some chunk plays.

Shemar Turner took his roster spot. Hopefully he’s ready to play.

If theres a plus to this, it is the Bears get 2.6 million added to the cap that won'tbe paid to Sweat.

Week 6 Official Game Thread - CHI @ ATL
Saw something pop up about his injury recovery being more like 4-6 months as if it was a new update. Has his status changed from what we previously knew? Penix is currently “day to day” with his rib injury. He says he’ll be ready for week 6. There’s definitely a different level of play when he’s in vs Tua. Of course Bijan is having a massive year so yeah…

This season is close to being a wash. Murphy is kicking their butt. Monsoon loss, Bryant injury, Caleb injury, Gordon recovery, now Sweat suspension. JJ and Stevenson playing below replacement level. They trade Dexter and he is playing at a PB level. Bagent looking like a CFL backup. With all of that going wrong somehow they are 3-2.

Out for two games for using PEDs. Some will say he must’ve been getting the placebo and didn’t know it. 🤷♂️ https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/50176333/bears-de-sweat-suspended-two-games-violating-ped-policy

Does Ben Have a Tell?...
I’d dial Them up too watching Tyson looking completely lost. We won two out of three games with our backup QBs. I’m taking my ball and going home and calling it a day.

Does Ben Have a Tell?...
Losing record in division. Winning record everywhere else. It seems that Ben dials up a solid offense against other opponents, but does weird shit in division. Is this his tell? The expected is, set up everything through play action equals success. Why does that not occur in divisional games? Is it frequency and familiarity? It is it, they think we'll do this, so I'll do that? Part of me thinks the latter, because why would you dial up so many reverses and jet sweeps? Sunday was weird...

Week 5 Official Game Thread - CHI @ GB, SUN 10/11, 12PM, FOX, CHI +2.5, O/U 45.5
Agree with everything you said. Missed chatting in the thread yesterday, maybe a good thing, LOL I just hope if we do a trade, two things: Fair price paid Not a 1-year rental. I want someone who has some tread left on his tires.
