  2. I think that's highly likely. A safety is almost a lock, and we need CBs. I dont think JJ is sticking around very long. Hopefully his play is elevated from last year, having a healthy offseason, but otherwise he's being paid too much for his production?
  3. It's hard to remember but these are just kids too. That doesnt mean I forgive his lack of discipline, but it does mean that redemption is possible? He was 24 last year - maybe some maturity will kick in. And either way, new faces will be nipping at his heels.
  4. It would be awesome to see Zah Frazier take his skills to the next level with the Bears. We seen it with Nashon Wright, so why not Zah. Stevenson must have a low maturity level because he has talent but seems to waste it by not taking his opportunity to the highest level. If he would show seriousness, he could have a long career.

  6. Smith is someone the Bears liked so hopefully he is feeling good and healthy and ready to compete. I could see 2 of first 3 or 4 picks being dbs (safety and CB).
  7. I agree, but at the same time, if we draft his replacement, that'd be OK too. I'm curious to see what we have in Zah Frasier too. No idea what last year's absence was about, but Al Harris pushed for him, and we saw what he did with Nashon Wright, so maybe Frasier will be excellent for us?
  8. I'm not ready to give up on him either. I still think he's pretty talented but took a step back last year. Hope he rights the ship because he's kind of important from a depth standpoint.
  9. I think Stephenson has a ton of talent, but his mind hasn't been on the game properly. Im not even saying I think it ever will be. But if he grew up, he'd be a pretty good CB.
  10. Was thinking about this signing and I wonder if it's time to put Kyler Gordon at outside CB and use Lewis more in the nickel. If you keep Gordon in the nickel, you have a bit of a void at #2 CB IMO unless someone out there really believes in Tyrique Stevenson. But if you put Gordon outside, then use some combination of Lewis/Stevenson/Blackwell inside (where I think Stevenson's tackling becomes more of an asset), then I think your CB lineup is looking a bit better. Now, maybe they are targeting a potential #2 CB in the draft which moots all this, but that approach makes sense to me. Then you still have guys like Terrell Smith (if he can ever stay healthy) and Zah Frazier as developing at outside CB.
  11. I must have put my email on there site but everyday NFL Mock Draft Database sends me any published mocks. 18 today. Four have us taking Messidor . He's a beast but I don't think we are going to draft a 26 year old rookie that has an injury history. 3 has us taking Theinaman. I don't think he makes it to us but would like that pick. It's not that I think any of these sites have a clue where they will go after pick 15 but it's a point for discussion.
  12. What a great day today. I can now have proper discussions with members.
  13. Good Lord. Mount butthurt erupts again ...🤡
  14. Go to your profile Go to heading,(ignored users) And put my username in it This was suggested months ago to both of us and I did it for one month. You never did it. Now finally we will eliminate the problem with the only person on here that always goes to name calling until they piss other members off. When I did it, when someone quotes you, the message will show to user not directly. I saw the football God of watching tape still bringing my name up. To do this properly when answering a post just don't quote it and do a normal response. It will save future name calling. I'm doing it right now but make sure the other member that has quit this site twice and been suspended does it. It's sad when adults have to do this but it happened.
  15. Can someone please tell me how to block someone on this new version of the site? Thanks in advance.
  16. #1 youre a dumbass. I dont get most of my information from them. I read and watch lots of stuff just like we all do. #2 you are always saying "so and so says" so thats how your brain works, not mine. I have never once cited Phils opinion as the reason I think something, or that something I think is true, have I? I just watch the film cutups. Theyre excellent. But I make up my own mind about what I see. This is just more weird fake psychoanalysis. I swear this is the weirdest Bears board. This doesnt feel like men discussing football. Its more like a jr high school girls clique. Its embarrassing really.
  17. First of all that assumption that you get most your information from TTNL came from me only. It is an assumed fact because it is the only pundit you ever mention. I can remember you citing Cronin once but I saw a TTNL episode where I think they talked to her or talked about her. When you go to the extend to pay a subscription for someone that means you follow them. Not sure why say that is a hateful comment towards you. I get you make up your own mind to form your own opinion but unless you otherwise state it, you got most of your information from them. I cite many people because I watch lots of different people. I'm retired and have free time and you probably don't. I don't get why you take these comments as a slam? Every time you read something it's either black or white. Most of my comments are in the middle. If I provide a source then you insinuate I think that person is a football God or something. None of that is true. You always say literally tape never lies but I look at that in a context. It's not any different than PFF stats that has its limitations. Neither of us like them. You watch a game and a player plays bad but if that player has a nagging injury, he may not look good in a few games. Scouts watch every snap and put everything in a overall scope. You may watch a highlight film and a few games to form an opinion. They watch everything to form their opinions. As you have stated many times we have opinions and this is a discussion board. Someone saying you follow TTNL is not a slam but you are always doing comments like that that detracts from the discussion board.
  18. thats smart. so many narratives out there, but the truth isn't THAT hard to see if you watch some film. it isnt rocket science.

If I felt like spending some money I’d just get the college game film and watch alone. I throw all sorts of opinions around but I really don’t feel like I have a solid feel for any of these players until I can see every one of their snaps in at least two full games, ideally four.

Hmm maybe you’re right and he is still in the Bears payroll to help spread mis and dis information
  21. OK, if you guys have to decide that I am just a follower of Phil, then you can think that. Seriously this board is so screwed up its incredible. So many petty little comments. Pathetic. So much hate. Yuck.
  22. I don't disagree with anything you said or Ashkum. No matter who BPA is at 25, I don't think they will take a WR, RB, IOL or TE. They will have a player in a need area that they will say is their guy. I think probably trade back to fill more spots whether starter or rotational. If you look at free agency they got bodies at LT, LB, DT which suggests to me they won't take the any of them as the top pick. IMO They need a starter at S and a better DE to put in the mix. Players that seem to fit DA's defense are Theinaman, TJ Parker, and Keltric Faulk that will be picked high. It could easily be a CB or a stud LBer and if a LT drops. It depends on how their board falls for them. There are some others I like but think they are more 2 nd round picks. I think they fall back and have 3 2 nd round picks and try to get another top 100 pick. It appears the comp pick may still be in play that would be nice.it will be pick 100? Am I wrong on that?
  23. Phil has a lot of good takes and then after discussing the prospects by watching tape, he says we should go get Decker. Tape on Decker in 2025 is awful. He has bad takes too. 90 minutes of tape doesn't compare to watching every snap of a career of a player. Scouts and some pundits do that. I watch many different sources and then form my own opinion. You say you don't follow anyone and are pushing the one source you follow. If you want to say you trust them more so be i but the majority of your opinion comes from them. None of them are perfect but like you I trust some over others. I value Dave Wannsted, Olin kruetz and generally people that were in the business their whole life. They aren't always right but it comes to trust. I like Gabriel you don't, no problem. If we all just watched one source we would probably all agree on everything which would make this discussion board boring. Dane Brugler has the most complete draft guide and I don't agree with all his opinions but that gives me more information to form my own opinion. You have a tendency to say when I give up a pundit as a view that I faithfully follow that person. I can like someone and still not agree with them on all their takes. The only pundit you have mentioned is TTNL and a lot of your opinions is the same as them. That's your choice, I prefer many voices and am more trusting of former football people but I'm not totally committed to anyone. Not saying anyone is right all the time.
  24. Oh I definitely watch their analysis. Im not saying i dont. Im just saying I dont get my opinions from anyone, I just look at the film myself. Sometimes i disagree with Phil, sometimes Shayne disagrees with Phil. But all can say is the free shows are pretty dumb, but the $10 paid content is amazing right this time of year. Its straight film analysis, and it's really enlightening. I'd probably be all in on Zion Young for example if I hadnt seen the TTNL film. And it's not because Phil said, but just what I was able to see myself.
  25. I would have never heard of them if you never encouraged the board to check them out. I like their content but not sure about subscribing since I dont watch much podcasts. Im just keeping it real
  26. speaking for myself, I dont "follow" anyone - I find their film cutups helpful, but I dont place my faith or opinions in anyone or anything other than what my own eyes see. I have never been one to blindly follow. Clearly, I am my own man, and I don't bend no matter how much of the crowd is going the other way. So in the same way, I am not a devotee, or a follower. I just think watching 90 minutes of tape on a player gives you more info than reading what some pundit says.

The two real problems with trying to put together a mock draft of what you think the Bears might actually do are (1) they really seem to be committed to, for the most part, going BPA, and (2) Poles just has guys he falls in love with based on vibes which I think pushes them up their board beyond where they might otherwise be, like Hyppolite last year, Travis Bell, etc. I can think, like TJ Parker is better than Dani Dennis-Sutton (for instance) but if they have calls with those guys or visits and one makes a better impression than the other based on attitude, loving football, preparation, etc., I feel like, for better or worse, that matters to this staff.
